>Don't worry she's got help
How did this scene make you feel?
>Don't worry she's got help
How did this scene make you feel?
not even a feminist but it was “gurl powah” done well
Haven't seen the flick, why is it just the girls?
Pretty annoyed exempt the cool way that Wasp kind of popped in like a real brawler.
We should have had an OG Avengers shot (time machine walk doesn't count) and a phase 3 heroes shot before this crap.
>How did this scene make you feel?
Made me lmfao, because this is the MCU Marvelcucks will have to live with from here on out.
It was so forced and gay.
because they were standing around doing nothing while the men were fighting because their menstruation cycles matched up
not really, it was way too on the nose and felt forced. it's mostly ruined by the fact that none of those characters even know each other.
Groanworthy. Like come on.
Also captain marvel blowing up the ship and in general being boring as shit had already soured the fight a little for me.
You cant let women have an imaginary fictional "win"?
Every single important character in the past 10 years or so of these gay ass films has been a dude.
Women got 1 movie and 1 scene where they line up in an imaginary super hero battle before the movie was again dominated by the male character's storylines. Both of the sacrifices were female characters. No one complained about that
Didn't know iron dude was a female
>Every single important character has been a dude
To be fair the men have ties to their humanity because of women
>Tony realized he needed to stop being IronMan for Pepper
>Thor's attachment to humanity was through Jane
>Stephen Strange realized his true potential because of the bald headed lady
Sure there's not many women kicking ass but they do play an integral part in these movies.
Gamora and Widow were the soul stone sacrifices
They didnt even get the big funeral for their characters. They just fell off a fucking cliff for a rock
First, I felt cringe, then I thought it was kind of hot, Peter protected by mommy army.
But it was just pure fanservice at the end, which this movie was full off
C'mon man. You know it's not the same.
I didn’t see gamora or black widow kill thanos
Exactly my point, retard.
Women didnt get the big triumphant "win" that iron man did. Widow has been in the movies for almost as long as iron man and just dies for a rock. That's her big moment.
What the female characters do get is one "hella epic XD" moment where they all stand in a line and you niggers cant even handle that. It's pathetic.
It felt good.
Because the based Russos crammed all the GURL POWER stuff into one single isolated scene. Having gurl power scenes CANNOT be avoided in the current Hollywood political climate. It wasn't possible to release the movie without it. Instead of letting that shit infest the entire movie, they chose to free the movie from it, and quarantine the gurl power cancer into a single scene that can easily be cut out of the movie and no one would realize. Pretty based if you ask me.
What women want is a female superhero which is fine they have one (they'll have more) but if they are given a love interest that is now somehow sexist and demeaning.
Can't win in this generation.
What are you talking about? Majority of women just want to watch Evans and Hemsworth take their shirts off. You're talking about twitter feminists and retarded journalists, which you fags pay way too much unwarranted attention to.
It was painful to watch, and I'd unironically describe myself as a feminist. What use are half of them supposed to be in that scene? It's already established that Capt Marvel is stupidly OP compared to everyone else. Pure pandering without even bothering to make sense.
It was the most blatant pandering I've ever seen in a film.. It was so on the nose my eyes rolled into the next seat.
If it had been Captain Marvel, Pepper, Valkyrie, Scarlett Witch, just a hand full, it would have been fine.
Once you see fucking MANTIS you're so over what's happening you want it to be over.
>man /tv's gonna have a fieldday with this
cringe and forced
woman are used to be pandered to
You're obsessed. Stop making capeshit threads. Get a fucking life.
It's forced pandering, why's it so hard to understand faggot?
Blame the shit writers. BW had a compelling storyline, it was just never told nor focused.
Who do you think Hollywood caters to?
Ooo you made me believe that you were a tourist but it seems you're only here to bait.
Just seen the movie. Yeah nobody clapped in my theater. Nobody cared and was very cringe imo. The latter half of the movie was a slog despite the “action”.
I thought it was really out of place because it looks like a really large battlefield, how did all the women just happen to be there? And I even think the wasp appears in this scene when she was literally on the other side of the battlefield just a few seconds earlier. Also, Gamora doesn't even know who any of these women are so why would she be fighting alongside them. None of this made any sense and it was just crammed in because they are trying to push some faggy soˆboi message.
Enjoy your feminazi MCU from now onwards, faggots :^)
Honestly opening night is where all the people clap and cheer after that its just a basic movie.
>the female characters are irrelevant so they have to be huddled together to make it look like they are important
Pulled me out of the movie.
My mum complained about that part after too.
have kex
It was fine. I didn't mind it because I'm not afraid by feminism like you retards. Unrelated brap
Im one of the “have sex” posters and even I felt this was incredibly shoehorned
"afraid"
I thought it was condescending and cringeworthy. These characters are cool by themselves, you don't have to line them up with all the pointless side characters just because they have vaginas.
It wasn't total cringe but im more pissed that they included that spear chukka michonne and that other nigress from black panther. WHY INCLUDE THEM THEY HAVE NO SUPERPOWERS. And I dont understand why people question the inclusion of Mantis there at least she has a special ability and shes a qt
It was far too on the nose to be entertaining.
Powerful.
It was fine, but i questioned some of them being there. Like, what the fuck is Mantis going to do? When did pepper get a suit? Valkyrie+Captain marvel seemed to do way more than the others solely due to powersets
I laughed in cringe. It's aweful.
You felt it was condescending because you're afraid.
Felt extremely out of place, like the headbutt that thanos did to captain marvel. I felt like they were expecting a laugh at that, but my theater was really quite when the scene was going on.
Annoyed. Hoping that hollywood execs see this as the peak of girl power representation and just have strong females without a shoehorned message behind it. That won't happen though.
Come on, who cares if it was a little cringey. It's just for fun. Not everything has to be a political message.
No
Captain Marvel could have simply flown over/through the flying army and got to the van before Thanos could react.
Honestly? Made me cringe.
This is what the Avengers will be for the next 10 years. No more Iron Man. No more Captain America (new SJW version). No more Hulk. No more Thor (except for GOTG). No more Loki. No more Antman.
Have dilate.
Everything pointless after introducing something stronger and faster the superman into the marvel last fucking minute that can easily solve everything. She is going to be constant fucking deus ex machina whenever she isent saving other planets aylmao. What a dumbshit decision after 10 years of marvel movies.
Felt ridiculous. Half of them are supporting roles and/or can't even fight.
made me dilate even harder so I too could become such a strong woman like any one of them :^)
It did feel a little bit forced and unnatural unlike its Infinity War counterpart, which felt definitely more organic.
You guys are so silly. One of my favorite parts for sure.
Have sex
Yeah I don’t believe you. Opening weekend is filled with Marvel clappers
Is there a word for being vicariously or sympathetically embarrassed for another group of people because they're being treated like pets or small children and given little candy treat handouts kinda like Good Boy Points? I feel like that, for every woman who saw the movie.
why did the wasp abandon paul rudd at the van?
What super power does the mantis and black spear girl have? Coulda made their point with just 3 of the strongest ones what the fuck are all those jobber heroes going to do?
Nope, it felt very forced.
This. Apeshit Hulk should have returned and destroyed Thanos' space car.
It made me feel like a woman trapped in a man's body.
What is the point of a scene like this, do any women actually see this and feel more powerful as a result? Like women are going to go back to their real lives and somehow become more successful and equal to men because they watched a 30 second capeshit scene of some female heroes teaming up?
Yeah, I had a problem with that too. It was a huge battlefield and then all of a sudden every single girl on the team is in the exact same spot?
Anything Mantis touches becomes null. How is that not useful?
ironically this, males that felt negative emotions from this scene have some kind of deep grudge against females, all I thought of it was how badass it looked, at best you could call it fanservice, but some people here have some real issues I hope they can resolve in the future, this shit does not get close to what other films like TLJ do to empower their female characters.
This. Forget about the fem pandering and think of the /ss/
HOLY SHIT THE POINT IS THAT THEY'RE SHOWING OFF THE CHARACTERS.
JESUS CHRIST, THE AUTISM. IT WAS FINE. IT WAS LITERALLY FINE. THEY SHOW UP, MARVEL SAYS "GOT SOMETHING FOR ME?" AND THEN THE WOMEN ENGAGE IN THE FIGHT AND BACK UP THE MEN. THERE WAS LITERALLY ZERO ANTI-MALE, ANTI WHITE, ANYTHING.
IT WAS FUCKING FINE. I UNIRONICALLY LOVE THE FACT THAT WOMEN REPLACE BETA MALES LIKE YOU, WITH ACTUAL DECENT NORMAL MEN OF ANY BACKGROUND. IT'S LIKE THE UNIVERSE ITSELF KNOWS TO KEK YOU WORTHLESS LITTLE SHITSTAIN BETA MALE AUTISTS. LMFAO.
It makes them feel good, dummy. Movies like this are like that. Fun for everyone.
I watched last night and the entire theater clapped during the whole battle scene
Mantis is apparently one of the best martial artists in marvel comics. Doesn't seem like she can fight in MCU though.
>powerful
She got btfo by Thanos quite easily while a white male (Cap) pretty much dominated Thanos
The Okoye, Scarlet Witch, and Black Widow against Proxima Midnight fight in Infinity War was much better handled. It worked organically and didn't felt contrived or pandering.
It was fine. Honestly I don't see how you could have a problem with this scene unless you were obviously looking to have a problem with it.
It feels good to be represented, believe it or not. Like I'm a dude but I'd imagine a girl who is into superhero movies sees a scene like this and at the very least smiles to herself and enjoys it.
I was expecting green beams to shoot out of their vaginas and meet up into a single beam to kill Thanos, like the Death Star.
I would have actually preferred that.
Then why doesnt she just touch Thanos?
She was kicking his ass and had him on one knee, Thanos had to rip the power stone out to blast her into space.
It was forced as fuck. No built up or connection between the characters except that they are all girls.
Imagine if they did a scene like this with all black characters.
Dude she literally didn't even flinch at a Thanos headbutt. He needed a stone to punch her off him.
I could feel the Yea Forums twitch chat embedded in my mind go crazy
The only dumb part of this is that the film already just established she didn't need the help (she just plowed through the giant ship multiple times so how are a few dozen grunts going to impede an overpowered flying woman?), and then sure enough she doesn't really utilize the help. You get a few seconds of female heroes punching nobodies, and then Captain Marvel just launches through the crowd super fast with no problem.
I would have felt patronized that just because they throw all the girls together on screen for 10 seconds I'm expected to cheer.
>All the women scattered on the battle suddenly gather in one spot to pose
What was going on in their minds when they made this decision?
The most annoying thing about Brie Larson in this movie was her butch haircut.
Agree completely. It's like Captain Marvel was written into the movie after it was done.
Wow sexist, you're sexist
Its one of her abilities. She can shore up her energy into a defensive "shell" that can effectively turn her into an wrecking ball/comet midflight. She used it here to tank Thanos' head. Thanos was hitting her flush just before.
>GIRL POWER!!!
Retard.
For a rock? They needed all of the stones to reverse Thanos' snap. Danvers destroyed the ship all on her own which would've killed the Avengers.
Tony was the one to start it all too you ungrateful cunt. Widow didn't have a family to mourn for her and Gamora's family IS Thanos. Which Quill was happy to see until he got kicked in the groin for regardless.
It was just another part of the action. Was I supposed to feel something different?
>Its one of her abilities.
Captain Marvel only has one ability: whatever ability is necessary for her forced-ass plot.
This scene was undercut by the fact that Captain Marvel didn't need their help at all. Compare this to the girl power scene in Infinity War when Widow and Okoye save Wanda from Proxima Midnight. That scene actually had weight to it because Wanda was in danger.
IMAGINE
If they hadn't forced in the lesser characters like Mantis and the Wasp and super-Pepper then it wouldn't have been so incredibly obvious. They had a contrived GRILL POWAR scene in Infinity War and it was fine, because they didn't go out of their way to crowbar in every single female character at once.
In-movie, there's no reason. We are supposed to believe that all the female characters in this one charge just happen to team up for no particular reason.
well.. in the scene just before pretty much all the guys went head to head with thanos army. i didn't even notice that the first time i saw the movie.
Audible groans in my showing.
STEP ASIDE BOYS LET THE LADIES TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM!! HAH!! BRAVO!!!!!
MY ENTIRE THEATER STARTED CHEERING WHEN THIS HAPPENED!!
Audible groans from my pretty seriously feminist friend sitting next to me
I was relieved. I was expecting Captain Marvel to make a smug face and then light-speed through all of Thanos's army.
I was angry. We didn’t get one last OG avengers team up. Yet marvel thought we wanted to see this shit. Most of these characters haven’t even been in the MCU for more than 3 years.
I'm having trouble imaging the audience that would unironically react the way Marvel intended. Personally I just rolled my eyes and moved on, but if I was a hard core feminist, I imagine I would feel so obviously pandered to in a contrived token shot that it'd be annoying.
Boo fucking hoo. Make me a sandwich
Dude.. the entire last third WAS the teamup. There was a shot with all of them standing besides eachother and another of them running towards the Thanos army.
Or maybe we’re just fucking tired of it.
You're not making a convincing argument. You're just repeating "You're afraid". What's to fear in a 10 second shot of a bunch of superheroines lining up? It's just a contrived cringe that makes me roll my eyes. Nobody's afraid.
This
The A-team scene was fucking great. Pure fanservice, but so is most of the godamm battle. There is so much shit going on in the end battle, so having somewhat isolated things like the a quick A-team scene is very helpful. The clip where Shuri, Rescue, and Wanda blating Thanos was PURE FUCKING KINO.
>MCU /ss/ universe
BASED
>You cant let women have an imaginary fictional "win"?
Hum...no.
Cringed
Made no sense given characters' connection to eachother (there is none)
I went alone. The two guys at my left laughed and even the girl at my right did a little cringe chuckle.
Reminder that Captain America let 9/11 happen
I didn't see the point since, in my mind, those characters are already equal to men and proved their worth. For me they're not superior or different than male heroes.
Rescue fighting back to back with Iron Man, or the Wasp flying with Ant-Man, were more interesting for me because those duos showed that being a hero isn't a matter of sex, in the heat of battle.
The real "girl power" moment isn't that femassemble", but it was when my girl Scarlet Witch 1v1 Thanos like the awesome heroine she is.
But to stick with that small scene in particular, my only real complain is Cpt Marvel. She has no place in that story, at all. All those women deserve to be here, they earned their place and I respect them, even those I liked the less - like Valkyrie.
From my point of view, Captain Marvel doesn't have any legitimacy to be here, next to awesome women like Pepper.
>all together for 10 seconds
>to help captn marvel
>the moment the battle begins captn marvel just flies trough every enemy
It was completly unnessecary.
It was okay and cute for the first 2-3 seconds then as it started dragging and bringing in every last female they could find to shoehorn into the scene it became incredibly cringe and yikespilled
pretty meh desu
my theater was full of clapcucks that applauded every dramatic scene except this one. it was so hamhanded and forced and such an obvious appeal for applause that nobody could bring themselves to clap for it.
it didn't make any fucking sense. why would all the girls suddenly abandon the battle just to stand by and pose all cool-like to make a statement about, well, being women? oh that's right, because it's braindead capeshit and i'm truly the biggest idiot here for paying and expecting something otherwise.
YASSS SLAY QUEEN
it's because we can see through the pandering and it's just hitting us over the head
Why aren't more women offended by captain marvel? The level of pandering is pretty insulting, and there were all these female characters already in the MCU that didn't need to resort to that bullshit. Also the one leading their group is whitey, where are the sjws to complain about all this?
>Falcon does a Wakanda Forever chest pound
i love her new butch hair cut.
Seriously. Why not just have captain marvel do everything? She's busted as fuck.
it was cringe but saved by the cuteness of wasp
Because nobody actually cares about any of that shit outside of your echo chamber.
Genuinely felt very forced, like all of them barely know eachother, and fucking Captain Marvel just flies off instantly, was rubbish
>gurl powah
its forced no matter how its done. go watch a sisterhood of the travelling pants if you want girl power
Am I the only one confused as to why they added Spider-Man and the TriStar logo to the girl power mix?
Unnecessary
I like how Iron Man exaggerates his features in his suit, and continued the trend in exaggerating Pepper's features.
You could hear people audibly groan in the theater I was in.
Captain Marvel makes everything unnecessary. Throw the gauntlet through a portal and she could beat Thanos and his entire army herself. She's just to OP
>Don't worry, she's got help
>They take care of about 30
Carol just blasts through the horde on her own
Pretty pointless
>How did this scene make you feel?
Didn't care about it. The scene where fat Thor is with the guardians of the galaxy got my attention. Btw fat Thor is awesome!
Top kek
This.
This, didn't come at the expense of masculinity.
I hope they have fat Thor with the new guardians! They work so well.
It was worse in infinity war
There isn't really a word. It's just second hand embarrassment
You can tell who needs to have sex in this thread if they didn't like this scene
It wasn't natural. That's the problem. In a literal fucking war the women don't line themselves up for a circle jerk. Everyone just fights. If Marvel wanted to promote equality, they should have been holding their own amongst the men, not doing their fuckin nails until it was time for their glamour shot.
Anyone notice how jacked Robert Downey Jr. was for this movie?
not him but you're wrong, it actually felt organic and didn't stick out like a sore thumb in the middle of a fucking warzone
I was real creeped out at his skinnyness at the start
It was a little cliche but whatever. It's a comic book movie. I head several girls in the audience audibly gasp during this scene, so they enjoyed it. That's what its all about.
Is your little ego so fucking fragile and delicate that something like this is a threat to your masculinity?
>If Marvel wanted to promote equality, they should have been holding their own amongst the men,
That's the thing, they were! Wanda is fighting 1-on 1 against Thanos, Wasp is helping Ant-Man with the time machine, Valkyrie is taking down Thano's horde and Captain Marvel destroys the ship. That's all good and worked. Then we have that shit forced shot where also Gwyneth Paltrow was there for some fucking reason.
Why were they all in the same area?
Why did they all stop fighting to pose for the camera... oh wait. Women.
Have sex
Yes! That's the only thing I care about in the next phase. Fat Thor was surprisingly kino.
I realized the amount of butthurt it would generate on Yea Forums and a wave of euphoria came over me
>Fat Thor was surprisingly kino.
It is just a continuation of the character assassination.
Can't believe people liked that.
I have to chime in thati was in a large theater and there was minimal clapping and reaction in general. It was pretty lame desu.
I dont think it is butthurt. I'm just baffled by it
Same that was almost christian bale in mechanic tier
It made me think of all the people on Twitter who will be saying, "Yassss omg."
If this had happened with a group of men no one would have even mentioned it
I liked Rescue and Scarlet Witch. Feels bad that they were part of that shitty girl power scene. Diminished their characters in my eyes.
Where are all the webms? I've only seen one so far, carol vs thanos.
Pepper was badass. I read that she was gonna be the one to save tony, so I expected her in a suit but not for her to show up in the final battle like that. I liked it.
I thought about cumming on Hope while she was tiny and see her swim around in the pudding of semen.
It was extremely cringe. They just crammed it into a 10 second segment in such a shoehorned way it almost broke the 3rd wall
They can do what they want im still going to call it out if i thinks its done poorly. They just need to not be so cringe and obvious about it is all
Pure Cringe
It was lame, incredibly forced, and made no sense on multiple levels.
Yeah, pretty much how I feel about that.
What if Superman had come down and all the male Justice League members gathered around and Wonder Woman just shuffled away like Spider-man? I'm pretty sure we would be mentioning it
We'd be calling them white knight faggots.
They get broken up pretty quick and it comes down to the main dudes fighting thanos with some captain marvel getting swatted
>Cloaca
no thanks
I'm getting tired of Spider-Man being a useless pile of shit to be honest
>You cant let women have an imaginary fictional "win"?
Especially not, if it's fictional!
they still clapped, just not for this
I honestly don't get how people aren't sick of all this "girl power" and feminist bullshit yet. How are people not annoyed of this shit yet, it's fucking everywhere.
motherfucking this
>binders full of female characters shot
nebula and black widow were well done characters. if they wanted to be feminist, they should've included more female characters but that's tough to do since they're building off of the past films which didn't have many to work with.
>They just fell off a fucking cliff for a rock
How is that even possible? In GOTG2 she fell a long ways down during the last battle and landed on her feet easily.
I think moving that fast on the ground would have repercussions like destroying the van and friendly casualties.
The main problem with the movie is that they said they won't make splinter timelines, but made several.
>Loki tess timeline
>Captain america lost shield timeline
>Peaceful timeline where thanos went to the future
Whenever i see shit like this i keep imagining young girls getting "inspired", trying to stand up to boys in schools and then getting beat up.
Its all so fucking patronizing too. Shit like this is obviously more of a "socially acceptable" checkmark than an actual stance.
Let's spin the Wheel of Oppression and see what stance our movie will take!
We got "Women!"
Alright, shoot a Girl Power scene! Twitter will love this!
That was my problem. Captain Marvel being there means no one else actually mattered, which was pretty much true for the whole fight.
>When did pepper get a suit?
We were shown the helmet pretty early on. I guess Tony found the time to give her it, or just made it automatically activate and find her if there was a reason.
forced and took me out of the movie
the similar scene from infinity war was fine because it wasn't 10 fucking characters stopping what they were doing from the opposite side of the battlefield and suddenly showing up
a binder full of women
Watch any of Grace Randolph's videos on the subject and you'll see the reaction Marvel intended.
The scene was still cringe and was the worst moment in the movie.
People unironically clapped and cheered in the theater I was in.
Do you think Iron Potts suit has a robo dildo in it?
Fucking Americans I swear. We should turn your theaters into gas chambers.
>she
You mean Spidey got help.
>capeshit wars fag talking about Marvelcucks
>watched the movie
just cause you’re a man and you aren’t included in the girl power moment doesnt make it forced
Make me.
a bunch of us cracked up
Neither are men and women.
k
how much do you get paid to write this absolute horeshit here?
