A sign of intelligence is that you can solve it without knowing methods or algorithms by heart. You can just solve for the equality sign and then see what happens if you change x. 1-3x =10 means x=-3 (because clearly -3x should be 9 which a literal grade schooler can solve). To check for the equality sign, just fill in x = -2 and you get 1+6=7 which is smaller than 10. So if the < sign must hold on the original equation then x>-3 because it also holds for x=-2.

I'm tired of humanity.
