She's the token feminist character. She and her movie were made to bring in the feminist audience. Whether that actually worked or not I don't know but that is clearly what their goal was. They wanted as big an audience as they could possibly get for their movies. They tried to get black people with Black Panther and feminists or people in tune with the feminist discourse of places like tumblr and twitter with Captain Marvel

I knew Steve got the hammer, I did not know how he was going to get it. Thor borrowing it from the past was a given, but Thor dual wielding was unexpected. Steve picking it up to save Thor was good shit. The combos Cap was throwing with shield and hammer were what caused people to go nuts in the crowd.

They never really touched on how powerful Wanda is in the MCU versus the Wanda from the comics. So, it was unexpected for me to see her go full on rage mode and try to outright murder Thanos. She'd always been so quiet.

Nah. I just meant that a lot of the time in the fights, she's been a sneaky support type. It's like she got a taste of close up fighting in the subway battle in IW, and realized that she liked it. I legit think she could have killed Thanos in a head on fight with where her mind was at. Like the other guy said, Cap's shield was next to indestructible, and Thanos managed to break chunks off of it with his blade, and Wanda then broke the sword. That would have blown everyone's mind if Wanda had pulped Thanos into goo and all the powerful heroes were like, "Oh, shit. What now?"
