AJ's jokes are 1 to maybe 5 lines long. They are very tightly crafted. It takes skill and confidence to develop this style.
Granted, Dave Attell manages a similar style with a more natural evolving patter but Jeselnik's jokes are each much stronger BECAUSE they are each better and not reliant on the need to "seem natural".
It is alright that AJ does his own thing. He does it very well.
