Note that manga Ido starts out on a quest to make Alita a “real girl” by replacing her mechanical parts with biological ones, so those joke panels need to be taken in that context. Throwing back to the old /abag/ days, I've been meaning to repost this letter for ages but never got around to it. This was after Peaches suggested that we do a letter to the production staff. I don't know if I'll ever send it, but I hope it reflects what everyone else has felt over the last 400+ generals.

/ABAG/ was the original 100 threads. The goal there was to make it to 99 because Jerome claimed he would eat a disc if we ever reached that goal. We changed it to /ALITA/ after that and didn't keep count for a while, but now we're going it again because 999 has become the new goal.

I was there, the later half of /ABAG/ was more in line with how these threads got, lots of OC posting and memes, but the early /ABAG/ was much more discussion based, since nobody had discussed the film yet. Nowadays, it's a mix of everything.
