I liked watching his "normal" reviews with his brother, but the NC reviews just got more and more ridiculous as time went on. They were basically just re-enacting the movie instead of using footage and I never enjoyed a single second of it.

Once the #ChangeTheChannel thing happened I was hoping to see a video from Doug addressing it, but afaik it never happened. I dropped everything from ChannelAwesome and have never watched a video from him since.

From what I gather the protest didn't change anything and the show continued as if nothing happened. So my outrage meant nothing to anyone but me. Even so, I don't want to give this guy or his company any views.

Pretty much. What happened was that #changethechannel got a lot of people to unsub, but those people who unsubbed were people who had stopped watching ages ago. It was basically people going "whoa I'm still subbed to this guy, better unsub," which is why their views per video were completely unaffected by it. The sub loss also only lasted like a week and was pretty minor.
