you should feel ashamed

you act like i have so much else do fucking do
>sunk cost fallacy
Literally what I say when explaining why I still watch it.
I've seen the gag meme a couple of times. What's with that? She has stinky breath or something?
her double chin touched his beard
How the fuck does that even apply here? Do you think the more shitty episodes you watch the more likely you are to watch a good one?
they spent so many hours watching it before it turned to total dogshit and there's only a few hours left to watch until it's over food good so they might as well finish it since they invested so much time already what's a couple more hours gonna hurt
That's not how it works. You sink more time into it simply because you've already gone too far and have adapted to the mindset that giving up would cause the effort you put in to go to waste (there's the fallacy). There's no expectation of reward, aside from the dubious reward of never having to watch the show again.
That's not the gambler's fallacy though. That's just being invested. Like my grandpa being unwilling to shut down his radio repair shop.
Please stop assuming I have better things to do.
>That's not the gambler's fallacy
Right, it's the sunk cost fallacy.
That's only a fallacy if you're actually gambling.
The thing is four hours literally aren't gonna hurt. At the very least we'll get some memes out of it.
There's also value in the show as a conversation piece, bad or good. Talking to others about how retarded the show is fills dead air.
no worse than making threads about shows you no longer watch
>implying I watch it out of loyalty
user, I watch it for the memes.
she's gross
Nah, I don't think that's why. The show has become an event at this point, and people that want to keep up with pop culture are therefore "interested" in it. At this point its quality is irrelevant, they simply watch it to say that have or for an excuse to meet with people socially. While a minority of people may subscribe to the sunk cost fallacy style of thinking, I do not think it's very common. Keep in mind trashcan TV has dominated public viewing for decades (TBBT, TWD, NCIS, new Black Mirror).
>all you can taste is spam and rice
Yeah i would gag aswell
GoT turned to shit but you're right that there are semi-legitimate incentive to keep watching. On the other hand, I *definitely* felt the sunk cost with TWD, and stayed with it for 5 seasons longer than I should have as a result.
I just wanna see how badly they end it
Why are you mad at us? We have been watching since 2011 and have spent so much time watching it how could we not finish regardless of how bad it is?
I only watch it so I can follow along with the videos Preston makes.
Based howling retard.
