Why do people think these are funny? Michael getting words or common expressions incorrect is literally the least funny thing in The Office. There's no setup and payoff, it's just "lol Michael is so dumb XD". I'm going back through the show as something to watch while I eat, and all the reddit-tier favorite moments are trash. "How the turntables..." isn't clever, it's just lazy writing to make Michael look like a complete imbecile instead of a just an underqualified goof. The same with any other "hilarious" instance of him just saying things in a way that no functional human ever would.
The whole show is terrible and there are very few funny moments. If this is your only criticism of the show you aren’t watching it correctly.

The Office US is written for Americans. Americans are dumb. In order to make a dumb person laugh at stupidity, you must come up with something even dumber than them.

LOL HE SAID SOMETHING IN THE FUNNY VOICE *rewatches season 8 times*

There's a lot of shitty reddit/Facebook-tier humor, but there is actually a decent amount of quality jokes or amusing situations. It's very slapstick a lot of the time, but some of the understated moments are pretty great.
As the show goes one, it definitely gets dumber and more outlandish, but there's still small bits that aren't shit.

>It's not complete shit! Americans will defend this. Meanwhile true patricians just watch the Office UK, an actually clever show

I was watching a comedy anime the other day and the character misused a japanese idiom and got called out by another character. It was so stupid and unfunny. Fucking americans
What's your favorite Michael quote, bros? >Do I need to be liked? Absolutely not. I like to be liked. I enjoy being liked. I have to be liked, but it's not like this compulsive need to be liked, like my need to be praised.
