DC shines in comic books, where Marvel struggles.

Based DChads. Our time will come now that Marvel peaked with Endgame and probably might not be able to top it in a while. Just wait for the Snyder Cut, hope never dies.

>Snyder
fuck that hack

>DC shines in comic books

About that

Bait. This movie was never EVER expected to flop

DC shines in elseworlds and animated movies... or at least it used to. The latest animated movies, even the Batman ones, have been pasable at best.
Samewise Marvel used to have good events but the last good one was what? Secret invasion? And that was 2009 or so. It would seem both companies peaked creativity wise almost a decade ago.

In all fairness though DC started to recover last year. Batman: white knight was probably one of the best Batman comics in years.

bump

The movie needs to make 2 billion to break even, more than that to turn a profit.

The budget itself was almost one billion, plus advertising and the production of all the toys, shirts, etc? That’s easily another billion.

And that’s not even including the fact that this has to make up for the losses that the last few Marvel movies took (Captain Marvel and Black Panther both lost a combined 230 million).

Is it making money? Yeah, but barely enough to pay for all the shirts and toys and shit Disney is putting out.

No u.

I dont understand the hate. For once somebody produced something else than a standard quipfest and he gets ostracised.

>Just wait for the Snyder Cut
please kill yourself

>somebody produced something else than a standard quipfest
that doesn't mean it's good

what do you mean? Shazam did flop

Marvel larping as one of us DChads, pathetic

Yeah disney is 4 quintillion dollars in debt. they'll go bankrupt any day now
we won bros

Based Shazam making Marvelshills go into full denial

I want to believe everything you're saying but do you have any citations? I can't find anything to back these claims up despite wanting to add them to my anti-capeposting agenda.

You're in denial

he doesn't because it's all made up
Infinity war and endgame both have very similar budgets and here's how IW did.

>denial
I hope for your sake this is bait. Shazam hasn't even made more than Alita yet.

oops wrong picture

>Marvelshills can't into basic math
Shocking

shazam has made way more money domestically with lower budget. It's still disappointing result, but alita is much bigger failure

Damn makes me sad but at least I'm informed :(

Solo pic made me chuckle, good mistake.

God damn it, I thought he brought everyone back? I was really enjoying what I had read of Titans, too.

Every character was Captain Marvel tier bland and condescending

>appears in one crummy movie
>dabs on the entire MultiBIllion dollar mcu franchise with all perfect RT scores
How did Margot "Harley Quinn" Robbie do it?

>gets spin off with the rock
>original team back for sequel
Fucking BASED Shazam!!! Disney had to beg Gunn to come back because they need him to save the franchise after Memegame. Good luck shoehorning Captain ManFace into random movies to burn through her contract

>yet
try ever

Shazam is dead

>makes a profit
See you at the sequel

TMNT crossover seems okay.

You won't see anyone at the sequel dipshit

Just like you didn't see anyone at the first one

>seething this hard
>for free

DC really badly fucked up, blew their load way too quick, which is a shame because there's so much potential in all of their characters were they to develop them.
>Superman's fragile balance of his dual identities of being a space god brought up an honest all American farmboy that makes him kind but a little distant at times
>Themyscira and Atlantis could have been a simmering tension with Wonder Woman and Aquaman
>Batman, the human at peak potential keeping everyone else honest so as to not go full Justice Lords on humanity, contrasted with Lex Luthor the similarly peak human who sees superhumans as a threat to humanity
>Green Lantern is the regular human who gets to exist in a massive universe of alien life and how he deals with that
>Cyborg is a human removed from humanity, he struggles with the idea of being an individual in a world of globalized technology he's literally connected to 24/7 so he's aware of every single little minute tragedy which drives him a little crazy but he's also the most, possibly to a fault, empathetic one
>Flash is kind of awkward, though, never liked him much, but the whole constantly living in slow-mo is something to work with
>Then you can bring in Martian Manhunter, contrasted with Superman as the last of his race but with literally no ties to Earth other than his goodwill and surrogate family within the League

Darkseid could have been fucking great, but Thanos made it on-screen first and everyone would call him a Thanos rip off. At this point, Lex Luthor should be DC's main villain, the one trying to wipe out superhumans for humanity's sake because he thinks we're good enough to deal whatever's out there. The struggle through the films is each side trying to prove the other right or wrong as actions committed by both sides start turning attentions towards Earth, bring in Darkseid and his search for the anti-life equation.

>I dont understand the hate.
Snyder doesn't understand comics. He didn't understand 300, he didn't Watchmen, and he didn't understand DC. He just sees pretty pictures on paper and tries to transform them into movies.

WAKE THE FUCK UP!

It didn't, really. A comedic superhero movie, starring a superhero that is relatively unknown outside comics and it still managed to do over 300 million dollars ww.
It also has a relatively small budget considering, so it is not a bomb by any means.

Alita was more expensive of the two though.

It is sad what Marvel has done to people.

Americans are damage controlling everywhere you go. Looking at the numbers it's pretty obvious their capeshit machine is dead in the water. Their Hollywood propaganda is dying and no one cares anymore.
