Season 1: a mix between genuinely alright and drama class play production/Renaissance fair cringe
Season 2-4: genuinely amazing costumes, the kind of clothes I naturally associate with ASOIAF in my mind. Genre appropriate, historical, nice.
Seasons 5-6: For some reason, everything started to get really plastic-looking, everything started looking more like props and less like genuine clothes
Seasons 7-8: I have no idea what went wrong. Everything looks like it's out of some 2nd rate fantasy MMORPG with over the top fetish clothes and really elaborate Burtonesque costumes. Worst offenders are Cersei, Daenerys and Sansa's dresses, Tyrion's clothes, Jorah and Gendry's armor, the new Kingsguard armor

If we look back to when they retook Winterfell, Sansa wanted Jon to take the Lord's chamber. She keeps pushing him to be better, be smarter, to take command more effectively. They disagree often, but the sentiment is there. But when Jon tells Daenerys about his birth, this girl who longs so desperately for home and family isn't happy: Daenerys recoils, she sees Jon as a threat. Even from a non-romantic standpoint, the relationship between Jon and Sansa is so much healthier than Jon's relationship with Daenerys.
