It is a sci-fi action-thriller about time travel, with two intersecting storylines, one set in the near future and one in the 1950’s. John David Washington and Robert Pattinson are playing scientists who travel from the future to the past and get caught up in a conspiracy involving a femme fatale played by Elizabeth Debicki. Washington is the main, while Pattinson takes on a more antagonistic role.
The mechanics of time travel are unique, with the leads existing simultaneously in both time periods, and having limits to how far they can go and what they can do in the past. Mark Rylance and William Fichtner will be in the movie as supporting characters in the future timeline, while Lucy Boynton is in early talks for a pivotal role in the past timeline. James McAvoy is being eyed for a very important role in the past timeline as well.
The title isn’t locked in yet, but it is being referred by studio heads as “Tempus Fugit” or simply "Tempus".
He's one of the only directors studios trust to make big budget original scifi films. He can be a little one note but I'd rather watch his timetravel shlock with based Pattinson than another remake or sequel.
Leo Price
This. There aren’t many blockbuster directors left with his firepower
Nathaniel Green
for some random fucking reason i hope dan radcliffe is in this movie, he just seems like the kind of guy who'd fit here
Asher Hernandez
Lanky waifu is finally getting good roles. Yeah he's the only who's successfully navigated the modern studio system and gets a blank cheque with complete carte blanche on all his projects.
So zoomers are really pretending that Dunkirk, TDK and the prestige werent kino huh?
Brody Garcia
Yeah Paprika and Inception are quite similar. >Makoto Shinkai Which of his stories is he copying? I've only seen Your Name. Interstellar is the only Nolan movie I disliked. Agree about the rest.
David Myers
>The mechanics of time travel are unique, with the leads existing simultaneously in both time periods, and having limits to how far they can go and what they can do in the past.
Kind of similar to Dr.Manhattan.
Luke Miller
That's the fiction part of science fiction
Caleb Ortiz
I thought interstellar was stupid but at the same time it is very rewatchable

Seems like Nolan is trying out new stuff with this movie in terms of the cast.
Pattison, Debicki, Washington, McAvoy, Lucy make a pretty good cast. Might even be inspired depending on the film.
This could be really bad. Nolan needs to step away from time travel since he doesn't handle it deftly.
A black "scientist" (another one, Nolan?) who goes back in time? Oh boy, get ready for him to be treated badly. If that Polish goddess lays a finger on that ape she's officially D R O P P E D.

>he liked inception >he can’t say nigger neck yourself
This. Pattinson wouldn't do bad scripts anymore. This man has been doing exclusively indies since twilight ended instead of doing capeshit. The script has to be interesting. Patts of course.
Other than that he has continued to push himself as a filmmaker. Dunkirk in terms of cast, dialogue and story was quite different from what he usually does. It actually felt like he listened to some of the criticisms regarding sloppy exposition.
I think he is just obsessed with time and its effect on people. Not a problem if he has something new to say with it this time.
Jonathan Ross
Hey i can see her boobs

>I think he is just obsessed with time and its effect on people. Not a problem if he has something new to say with it this time. He's made a career out of knotwork.
>"Working with these important directors makes you feel more secure in the choices you’re making,” Pattinson said. “Like, I’m doing a big movie with Christopher Nolan after this. It’s the craziest thing I’ve seen in years. It’s the length of three movies.”
>“I got locked in a room to read the script – I don’t have it myself. I’ve been a little wary of doing big movies for years and years, but there’s just something about Chris Nolan’s stuff. He seems like the only director now who can do what is essentially a very personal, independent movie that has huge scale. I read the script and it’s unreal.”
The Night Manager is great. Too bad that midget Hiddleston got to fuck her.

every time someone streams the show, an angel loses her wings...

Is Nolan the only director left that's making original movies and not remakes or capeshit?
Julian Hill
All the good guys dont look like me so I wont watch it
Nathan Martin
There's lots of them lad. He's the only one who's making big budget original cinema that makes insane amounts of money too. Tarantino movies are pretty popular too.
Easton Robinson
what else does pattison have other than Good Time? do i really need to watch twilight just to see more of him
Lincoln White
>Nolan film has a negroid as the main character Dunkirk really was a office bomb so he has to sold his integrity to (((Hollywood executive producers)))? That's sad.
The Rover, Cosmopolis, High Life, Lost City of Z, Damsel, Bel Ami, The Childhood of A Leader. He's got projects with Guerra and Eggers coming out too. Pretty interesting filmography post-twilight.
Benjamin Robinson
Dunkirk made $576 mil ww. Definitely a hit.
Blake Murphy
lost city of z and rover are absolute pattinkinos
Henry Green
Then if the black character has not a key into him being black (Maybe being treated badly at the 50s because of America racism), it's really weird on him... Maybe he thinks making a movie with a black main character will give him the Oscar because of the actual (((current year))) Oscars mentallity? Also this also confirms Debecki is gonna get BLACKED.
Wyatt Richardson
He already sold his integrity when me made more WWII propaganda.
Cameron Robinson
>$576 mil So the studio made roughly 576/2 = 288 mil. And the production budget was 100-150 mil, so lets say 125 mil, which is 125+125=250 mil with marketing. That is, the movie broke even. Not good.
Maybe because he understands that the cultural/media landscape is changing and he needs a diverse cast to stay in everyone's good graces. Dunkirk got some flack because it was all white soldiers even though Indians under British Raj had their soldiers at Dunkirk too. John David Washington is a pretty good actor from what I've seen. At least he didn't cast a meme actor like Boyega or Donald Glover.
Connor Hernandez
My bad, it's actually 526 mil. But the budget was 100 mil only, and I don't think they spent over 100 mil marketing it either.
Connor Gonzalez
Based.
Benjamin Adams
Bump.

>tfw he's dead It's not fucking fair
Jace Turner
Found the Vamp-Fag.
Eli Nelson
Great casting.
Ryan Cook
Pattinson and Nolan are brits.
Dominic Thompson
He probably has the best taste of any actor working as far as role selection.
Aaron Ward
Oh fuck off anime fag. Paprika is a Brazil rip off and Perfect Blue is a Lynch rip off if you wanna play that game.
Noah Hall
Why doesn't he make normal films like there will be blood ? Or perhaps just something in current day without any sci fi elements.
>sci-fi >timetravel >Pattinson Nolan kino is back on the menu

WHITE MAN BAD

Yeah why has this been the narrative lately?
Didn't us WHITE MEN save these kikes from extinction back in '44?

"Alright then...how do I know you wont just wait till we get to the other side and THEN kill me?" said the frog.
"Ahh...," crooned the scorpion, "Because you see, once you've taken me to the other side of this river, I will be so grateful for your help, that it would hardly be fair to reward you with death, now would it?!"
So the frog agreed to take the scorpion across the river. He swam over to the bank and settled himself near the mud to pick up his passenger. The scorpion crawled onto the frog's back, his sharp claws prickling into the frog's soft hide, and the frog slid into the river. The muddy water swirled around them, but the frog stayed near the surface so the scorpion would not drown. He kicked strongly through the first half of the stream, his flippers paddling wildly against the current.
Halfway across the river, the frog suddenly felt a sharp sting in his back and, out of the corner of his eye, saw the scorpion remove his stinger from the frog's back. A deadening numbness began to creep into his limbs.
"You fool!" croaked the frog, "Now we shall both die! Why on earth did you do that?"
The scorpion shrugged, and did a little jig on the drownings frog's back.
"I could not help myself. It is my nature."
Then they both sank into the muddy waters of the swiftly flowing river.
Self destruction - "Its my Nature", said the Scorpion...

man denzels son is having an amazing career
Josiah Wood
Nolan doesnt have to do anything to gain critical attention, he's cemented his legacy as compelling filmmaker, i am more than certain that someone as cerebral as nolan could give a fuck less about a character's skin tone but would more than be aware that the film industry is a business and there needs to be a return, so the least risky way of investing in a film is in a traditional lead, not that he would think of it that deeply, majority of actors are defacto white in america. However, he may be more comfortable today in this current social context to hinge a big role on a minority which has been done before, not groundbreaking, but it is also supported by a stellar cast, which isnt new, but there is a also the novelty of denzels sons career. He seems like a good lad, his father a based chrsitian and his mother a classically trained pianist (albeit grew up in the deep south. Glover is a shit actor and fraud, boyega is a strong actor but an annoying cunt off screen but w.e, we'll see if this film is strong or just a plot clusterfuck. It will be visually delicious regardless.
Isaac Nelson
Is John David the lead?
Daniel Miller
But he does. Every movies from him are bloated with explanations for everything.
