Miyagi Do is flawed because it requires you to bottle up anger in a way that can't be done for most people; the only ones to do it successfully are the actual Miyagis, who all experienced war first hand and thus have experiences that allow them to manage it better; for civilians like Daniel and Robbie, bottling up that anger just makes it explode in horrible times (Daniel kicking in Johnny's door, Robbie nearly manslaughter'ing Miguel)

Cobra Kai utilising anger and ruthlessness and offense ironically makes it less lethal, since using that emotion so often gives them better control of it - while it'll fuck up their lives eventually it does actually keep them more in touch with their true selves (The ex-Cobras on their bike trip had no problem discussing their emotions with each other, not even a joking "lol fag" or anything)

Season 3 will be Johnny and Daniel realizing the failings of both schools, and form a new one to provide the best of both and to take down Kreese's Cobra Kai, achieving Karate's real goal; Balance.

Miyagi's methods only worked for him and Daniel because they are designed to never be used in combat. They used karate to balance themselves and improve everything else about their lives. There isn't anything wrong with Miyagi-Do, if you're implying Robbie's lack of honor was directly caused by it. The whole gimmick with Miguel and Robbie is that they're basically in the wrong dojos. Miguel is good at heart but isn't meeting his potential because the antiquated Cobra Kai methods were trying to turn him into something he's not. Robbie is a delinquent with abandonment issues who can't judge right from wrong properly. If Kreese trained Robbie, he would literally become unstoppable.

After that, Daniel and Miyagi become hetero life friends, and Miyagi STILL won’t train Daniel until Mike Barnes and Kreese jump him at Silvers dojo.
