The movie was over the place. They turn Thor into a fat slob... and they turn into a murderer; he literally just gives no fucks and chops off the head of a weak and defenseless Thanos; now you can say Thanos deserved all you want, but Thanos never intentionally murder someone like Thor did. Yeah, I know he killed Loki, but Loki tried to kill him first. Thor just killed Thanos in rage and anger, whilst Thanos was pinned down by the other avengers. It was so out of character for Thor. If Superman did what Thor did, you'd never hear the end of it. They make Hulk pretty useless. Literally all he's there for is to use the glove. There is no way Tony Stark should have been able to use the stones... never mind snapping the bad guys away. The Hulk was virtually dying as he put it on.... and it did give a bit of struggle to Thanos before he even used it. As I said, he should have died as soon as he put it on.
There are far more concerns and problems with this movie, that I just can't be bothered to point them out. Regardless, the MCU is deep trouble from this day forward. There's no way they can do a solid job they did for the first 11 years for the next 11 years. Characters like Captain Marvel, Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson, Black Panther, Doctor Strange cannot carry their franchise. Yeah, they still have the Hulk, Thor and Spider-Man.... but good God they didn't half fuck Thor and Hulk in this movie. I know I'm probably done with the MCU for the most part going forward. It was fun, but I think I'll stick with the DCEU from now on.
This reads like the ravings of a virgin living in his mothers basement.

there, are we done now?

>Thanos never intentionally murder someone like Thor did.
He committed genocide on a galactic scale and was slaughtering half the population of planets before that
Michael Clark
It was at random. And it wasn’t out of rage or anger. Thanos was the true hero, and the Avengers were the true villains in this movie.
William Garcia
you forgot keep seething
Josiah Kelly
I agree.

>It was so out of character for Thor. Thos's a nordic God, it's really in character for him to kill his enemies.
Leo Sanders
Population doubled from 3billion to 6billion in like 40 years. What a great job Thanos did, "saving" us for 40 years

Thanos being the main character of IW was the only thing that made it interesting and original. without that it's just "hurr alien god that wants to destroy earth".
Lucas Reed
you do realize feige is done with the mcu after this right? marvel is in bigger trouble than just thor being a fat slob.
Liam Reyes
where did you get that info from virgin? Up Zack Snyder's ass?
Carter Brooks
They really did just take a massive shit all over Thor as a character over these last two movies.

>Thanos being the main character of IW was the only thing that made it interesting and original. Sorry, but with all due respect, why do people keep calling Thanos the protagonist? Yes, he is the one who sets out on a goal, and the superheroes are the ones who oppose him, which technically, strictly speaking, makes him the protagonist and them the antagonists. Do I have that right? But then superheroes are pretty much the antagonists in every single film they're in, since they always react, never initialize. Supervillains hatch a plot, and superheroes stop them.
Elijah Richardson
because he tried to save the universe duh
Chase Murphy
Thanos is the good guy. He fixes the flaw in the universe, and the foolish short-sighted so-calledsuperheroes doom themselves with their faggotry.
Asher Evans
technically, if any underage posters read this you are guilty of a felony in at least ten states

Just stop watching Marvel flicks after Endgame.
Don't let it be a part of your life.

That's not Thor from the comics. They're way, WAY nobler than that. Like they *should* be. They treat it as if Thor's not only justified in what he does, but still worthy of Mjölnir. That's one hell of a message to throw into a "kid's movie."
Benjamin Mitchell
But being a protagonist vs. being an antagonist has nothing to do with morality; you can have a villain protagonist (take, for instance, pretty much every crime film or show; Tony Soprano isn't exactly the hero). From what I understand, the protagonist is essentially the central guy whose actions are the driving force behind the plot, and the antagonist puts obstacles in his path. By this, Thanos is the protagonist whether he's wrong or right, but so are Loki, Obadiah, Killmonger, and every other superhero villain. Again, superheroes just sit around until supervillains do something. They're inherently all about reaction.

Tom Holland and Harley Keener Ty Simpkins are so handsome.
Camden Green
Because the structure of IW very clearly revolved around Thanos and his character and struggle. This isn't normally the case with superhero movies. Sure villains are normally the catalyst but the movies normally spend time dealing with the growth and development/struggle of the heroes.
Parker Taylor
I could see them doing the individual movies for a couple years but I can't see any kind of future Avengers movie happening and I think the individual movies are going to get a lot less hype from people now that Cap and Iron Man are gone and there isn't an overarching plot tying them together. Maybe they'll try to start spinning a new grand plot but I don't see it working.
Oliver Scott
It seems like it would leave most civilizations utterly devastated to lose half of their population not to mention animal stock. There's no telling how long it would take to get back on "track" after an event like that and who knows how it would affect the civilization in terms of future choices. In the few snips we saw of America in 2024 it seemed almost post-apoc.
Dylan Cook
No. They took pains to make that not the case, remember? They're not the Viking gods. They "inspired" them. Asgardians are a(possibly) extra-dimensional species of aliens who are self-appointed upholders of good, protectors of the "Nine Realms."
What they did with Thor goes beyond regression of character and straight into the realm of assassination. There was a way to do it right if they wanted Thor to kill Thanos. Murder wasn't it.
Grayson Cook
I have many issues with the movie but this isn't one of them. He deserved to be executed. What kind of pussy ass "justice" would let this man alive?
