I have an office job I like but HR/management has recently started pulling shit like this and cracking down on things they haven't cared about since I started years ago and it really pisses me off. We were recently acquired by a larger company so I'm pretty sure this is them and their faggot executives power tripping over petty issues. Fortunately I have quite a bit saved up and I know I could easily get a similar or better job if necessary so I can tell my manager what's really on my mind when she confronts me instead of begging to keep my job. But I wish they would just pull the stick out of their ass and let me do my job because that would be simpler than changing jobs.

It's not about money, if you talk to handicapped people you'll realize that they are the same as everybody else except for their handicap and they want to be part of the social life (i.e. working) even mentally retarded people love to work, i live in an area where we have special workplaces for mentally handicapped people where they can work, earn their own money and spend it how they want.

I had a shit job.
I had to come in early, because the job didn’t estimate set up time at the beginning of shift, so you either got there on time and opened late, or got there early, and opened on time.
I would stay after shift to get things set up, so I didn’t have as much setup time in the morning, and to help straggler customers.
I never got a wage increase.
I took a cut in pay when the economy went to shit, plus no $30 bonus at the holidays.
I definately used to tell my boss he could go home early. It saved me fixing his mistakes, and allowed me to do my job.

Despite having actually designed some of the systems in place for doing the job, the management was hopelessly clueless about what the job entailed, what complications would come up, and how long it actually could take to do things.
Management wouldn’t spend $100 on office supplies to fix manual systems that had been put in place when there were a tenth the number of customers.
The weekend shift would come in and there weren’t fucking pens to use, and nobody to open the supply cabinet.
The only way to efficiently get lightbulbs replaced was to know the maintenance person eith the keys to that room, and go find one yourself.
The same was true of printer paper and envelopes, and paper yowels and all sorts of other shit.
One of the maintenance people smoked crack, and was literally more efficient at getting stuff done quickly than management.
After that, the separate part of the business full of unionized employees was the most efficient.
If you see a sign like this, find a different fucking job quick.

1.I live in a country with actual workers rights so not really that easy after your training period
2. On top of that I'm a civil servant so again good lucky with your firings lmao
3. Have flexible work hours so almost impossible to be late
4. Don't have a fucking uniform
5. Don't have to smile at anyone, in fact I have my own office and barely have to see even other coworkers
6. Only "customers" I have would be on the phone sometimes

It's a new year... how about a raise? Oh that's right that already happened, my salary gets adjusted automatically just by me staying employed.
They are fortunate to have me working for them as I've already turned the place around in a short time and am much better than the NPC women who've worked in my position before me. In fact my (male) bosses fucking love me, appreciate that.
