Vaccines aren't 100 percent effective and also not everyone is able to get them. But the more people in a population who are vaccinated make the population more resistant to a pandemic and the diseases won't be able to spread as easily. It's called herd immunity.

The studies are small and the research is new, but researchers have been able to predict future autism diagnoses in children with autistic siblings at a 97% accuracy. This is interesting because the these scans were done at 6 months old, long before babies get the MMR vaccine at around 18 months that so many people accuse of causing autism.
