Is it autism?

lets do some game theory and assume every contestant knows the answers. once james has control of the buzzer/board, all he does is

1)build bankroll with $1000 clues
2)hits a DD, bets it all
3)double jeopardy, same strategy
4)after second DD, he is too far ahead for his opponents to catch and gets to play with house money

basically any competent champ could've done what he did, but nobody had the balls

He didn't get a single DD on today's episode, but he still ended up winning 50k

Maybe a run of the mill winner would average 40k, but theyd strike out within a few games. His average coryat is decently higher than Ken Jennings, who was already a huge outlier

Does he miss an answer at all? What are some that stumped him?

I saw James at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Alex teased him the other day for not ringing in on the balet category. He missed a daily double about the bill of rights and another about the tour de France. I don't think he's missed a dd in dj

Apparently in the green room he taunted someone who was nervous saying something like "if you didn't come to play why did you even sign up"

It's the structure of the game's fault.

There's no reason that the bottom question should be 5x value of the top question. It's not commensurately more difficult. There's no reason the DD should be hidden in the bottom questions either. You never have to weigh risk reward. Always pick the hardest question available. You get more bank for DD if you don't find it, and take the DD if you do.

he missed the pulp fiction question yesterday
