The Western anime fandom has an obsession with 10-year-old-tier material like Naruto and One Piece to the exclusion of practically anything else. Watching a little bit of it is fine, but this is just embarrassing. Imagine if millions of Japanese men had, as their primary viewing experience and cultural import, nothing but GI Joe level cartoons.
