That Philip Seymour Hoffman movie where he's directing a play and he hires someone to be him and that guy also directs the play and it's just a convoluted mess

the Danish Girl

Melancholia

This. I also loved it though, especially after a second watching

Honestly, Inception.

Probably something by Aronofsky.

TDKR

neon demon

Capitalism: a love story

Although I haven't seen it

Any film made by Jarmush
Dead Man is alright, but shit like Coffee and Cigarettes, Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai or Limits of Control are fucking awful pretentious movies with zero actual depth behind them

Eraserhead

It's also a total snoozefest.

Attached: Eraserhead.jpg (1200x1582, 434K)

why do you dislike it?
I think it's great.
it's essential drudgery-core.
He's not actually in an industrial dystopia. He's living a normal life, but his anxiety makes everything seem horrifying.
When he kills his own child it starts to expand infinitely, he basically has destroyed his own life by letting his anxiety take hold of him.

Pulp Fiction

It's an incredible movie and not pretentious in any way desu

I fucking hate that movie but can't explain why

Daisies.
Completely meaningless nonsense.

me 2

I saw it last year for the first time and was honestly baffled at how it was so popular

Faggot

Brick

Julien Donkey Boy

It was most normies first intro into "alternative" films.
Most normies have never seen a film that was focused on dialogue.

Lmao you're going to get yourself banned you fucking tard. Do you think any dumbass that wants to see the capeshit will be here?

Based

La MontaƱa sagrada
But the ending is such a break of the fourth wall that I'm not even sure if it's pretentious desu.
It's a such massive dab on the audience that I think it just stopped pretending.
That Jodorovski character becomes the director, the set is shown and he tells the audience something along the line of "enlightenment is from within"

This and The Fountain.
