How did he star in so many good movies?

How did he star in so many good movies?

He's a big guy

When compared to a small guy.

He was the go to big guy back when big-budget male-oriented action movies could still be profitable.

He had charisma

He knew what's best in life.

I tried pushing a giant grain crusher in hopes it would make me look like him but I only got an injured knee.

Dude had drive and didn't let people fuck his career over like the people who wanted him to change his name and ditch his accent

He was a movie star. We don't have many of those anymore because the field is both saturated and fragmented, no one charismatic actor can rise to the top and star in a bunch of separate mega hits. Chris Pratt doesn't have the presence. Rob Downey Jr. is stuck with one franchise. The Rock makes nothing but b-movies.

Not too mention masculinity as a concept has been completely torn down

Tom cruise

because the 80s was the golden age of cinema

deepthroated a lot of edomite cock

He didn't

He's only still relevant because his Scientology overlords go to bat for him since he takes in followers and therefore money. That's why almost every other open scientologist currently working gets just enough to make an alright living for themselves but don't hit superstardom
>The Masterson siblings only being known for their one characters in different shows
>Travolta had to move over for Cruise and now he's finished
>Leah Ramini was just known for King of Queens before leaving and trying to put the scientology stuff on blast

stuck in one franchise since 1996
does his best work when he's not the main event (collateral, tropic thunder)
made himself a meme with the scientology videos
jack reacher 2 was a heaping pile of dogshit

smart guy

Because he truly liked it. Soul actor.

T3 is unironically my second favorite terminator movie. the ending is pure kino and claire danes was my waifu growing up

>How
People liked him I guess.

He didn't, his movies are schlock for the most part. No better than the average marvel capeshit
Watch some real fucking movies.

Like what?

>No better than the average marvel capeshit
Terminator is a time travel paradox film that forces you to consider if time is linear and how time travel impacts time lines

Total Recall makes you interpret rather it was all real or not, and if its just a fake memory or if he get lobotomized at the end.

The sixth day makes you consider the dangers of cloning technology. Could you be replaced by your clone?

Even Conan has the greater meaning with the riddle of steel. That being the man is greater than the steel its self

His movies arent what i would call capeshit

Ponder

It's actually pretty weird if you think about it

Capeshit takes itself way too seriously, don't tell me it doesn't. At least current era capeshit does. AHNULD was only in a handful of flicks where you had the notion that the movie was playing it straight, but they were all decent enough (End of Days, for example, while not great isn't awful). I have a lot more respect for a movie that just tells you to plop down and enjoy the ride like Commando or Running Man than most of the bullshit released in current year.

Yeah. Its why I watch so many older action movies. For whatever reason they seem to have lost that.
Commando is still my favorite Arnold movie. Not his deepest film plotwise, but, its just great

Who was his agent?

Big mooscles and a unique dominating voice.

Chose his scripts and directors well, how else?

Jack Reacher 2 was an okay and forgettable action movie, not really dogshit.
