they wasted thanos. they spent all of infinity war developing his character only for him to get turned into every other boring marvel villain in endgame. what happened? i was so invested in thanos. he's barely even in endgame. im pretty let down.
They wasted thanos...
But he was just like in the comics.
Yeah the movie was really fucking boring honestly. It was bland as fuck, there was barely anything memorable. Captain America had couple of good scenes and that was it
>muh comics
Shut the fuck up you whiney redditor. The movie was the masterpiece of the century and you know it. It doesn't need follow the comics to be a masterpiece.
i hate what they did with thor in endgame. he was such a tragic character in infinity war. he's a complete joke in endgame. you can't take anything that he says seriously.
he's seriously the dumbest looking villain ever. like a cartoon purple fucking ape. there's nothing intimidating about him at all. i fucking hate marvel
Comic Thanos was stupid. Infinity War Thanos showed empathy and truly believed in his cause which justified his actions in his own view and subsequently the viewer. During the very last confrontation you can see Thanos went out of his way to not harm the remaining Avengers more than necessary to pacify them as he grabbed the last stone. You felt the antagonist carry the weight of the universe on his shoulders in IW and there were a million ways they could've carried on that story and made a subversive story instead of the convoluted mess which robbed the movie of any real depth and substance and reduced Thanos into another generic villain, and concluded the conflict in a uninspired way .
Your fault for trusting Disney to ever deliver.
Now have sex.
have sex
The movie is called End Game. He had to go down this time. In terms of the plot from IW what else could Marvel have done? Now if your complaint is the actual impact Thanos had to the MCU I kinda agree that they wasted him. It's just that his snap didn't felt it had any weight because people came back to life in the next movie. We knew it was going to happen. I think IW was good but this movie is better. It starts slow and kinda wonky but once it picks up it sucks you in.
Thor, Thor was the best. Hemsworth is the best actor Marvel has. The guy nails down whatever you throw at him. The worst performance was Ant-Man. He's a good actor but he was unconvincing to me. When he tries to convince everyone about time travel it felt so goddamn unconvincing it made me cringe. Would pay to see again tho
Surprise, the Russo Brothers are hacks. Winter Soldier was a fluke.
He had a full journey in Infinity War, Thanos in Endgame hasn’t had a story yet, so I’m personally just happy we still have Infinity War Thanos
OHH MY GOD
THE AVENGERS BEAT THE FINAL BOSS THANOS
THE GOOD GUYS WIN
EPIC WIN
Why didnt they do the real endgame men actually want?
Imagine spending your free time spamming threads with this garbage. The state of your life
But Thanos is still in the MCU? I thought I read about him still making appearances after this movie. Too Bad Iron Man died. but yeah, we all know Avengers were the Iron Man Sequels
Did you even pay attention? The IW Thanos is killed off at the start, he's clearly the same Thanos from IW and has the same personality/lessons. The 2014 Thanos they face at the end has seen that the snap didn't really change anything from Nebula's memories and so he abandons that plan and decides to remake reality itself to be peaceful by default.
>Comic Thanos was stupid
>IW Thanos was not
is this some uncannoy valley shit or what? comic thanos is dumb as fuck, but IW thanos makes him look like a fucking genius by comparison. did brain get pretzel by liking IW thanos, even though he's even dumber than the version you hate, that you're literally incapable of perceiving reality anymore or what? that's dark shit, man
I always got the impression that Thanos felt that he needed to prove to the universe somehow that his world-view on things was correct, in sort of a "teach a man to fish" way.
So it was pretty uncharacteristic to act the way he did in Endgame, because nobody learns anything if they have their memories wiped.
Empathize with Thanos all you want, he had next to no development throughout IW. His ideals and his philosophy were resolute. What change was there?
not really, the first movie focused on him a lot, this one was cathartic for the main cast
that was the point, he was coming to terms with the expectations of the god of thunder and who he really is. I think he was more genuine with his feelings; daily life is often littered with flecks of comedy even amidst tragedy *tips fedora*
What happened? Fucking Disney happened, that's what, just a complete lack of imagination and thematic resonance hidden behind marketing hype and superficial flash.
The comics character is far superior. Far.
Movie Thanos is a retard who can't even into logistics. He can't even see that he's wrong when shown irrefutable proof. He can't even see that his "solution" was a century-length bandaid to an epoch-scale "problem" that arguably doesn't even exist. I thought they'd at least have the intelligence and creativity to have him realize this, but no, they doubled down on their idiocy by having him destroy the Infinity Stones(fucking lol) and retire, "mission" accomplished. This is just laughably stupid.
They had ten years and twenty-two movies to develop and deliver a truly memorable, truly intimidating villain. They dropped the ball. Hard.
