The Tony's gambling subplot seemed contrived.
this years rewatch is done lads
But I'm right. Season 3,4,5 and 6A each have one or two great episodes and then everything else is nothing.
>n-no you dont understand, muh deep themes!
Yes, I know, and I agree, but they're repeated over and over in those seasons. It feels like it could have been 2 seasons instead of 3 and a half.
You can put Chasing It in the basket of skippable episodes on rewatch.
What's your problem with season 3?
saddest scene
I consider it the weakest season of the entire show.
S4 had the horse arc. It was great because it merged Tony's crazy attachment to pets and his mob life with what later happens to Ralph. It also had Whitecaps, a great episode.
S5 was entertaining at the very least. It was completely useless ( save for a certain female character's death ) but at least it was fun. Same for 6A: nothing happens and it's very shallow in terms of Sopranos standards, but you can watch it as the usual TV series where you just want to see what happens to the characters.
S3 was weak because of various reasons:
First of all it introduced nothing new to the table. And don't start mentioning what happens to Melfi because the series went over that point already back in season 1 with Boca.
Secondly, S3 was slow as fucking molasses. This is a problem ( or should I say, attribute ) of the entire series where everything moves slowly for 10 episodes and then shit goes down really quickly in the last 2. This season had that effect the most.
I think the film needs at least one more scene with Roy Bland. He's not used enough.

I know nothing about the new movie but from that pic it looks to be the usual "LOOK AT ALL THESE SETPIECES AND CAMERA ANGLES!!" with no substance
The movie is very very good. It's not showy like you describe at all.
>"I get it!"
I looked it up and the title is The Many Saints of Newark
"Many saints" in Italian is Molti Santi, aka Christopher's surname.
so it is kino huh
The film in the image is the 2011 movie Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Has nothing to do with The Sopranos.
Alright, I see
This felt like it could have been the final scene
The A-plot of season 5 of the Wire is bad.
That's nice.
Never do I want to see Meadow or any other fucking person sing in this show. I skip EVERY single time. Who decided to put that dogshit in there
What's the funniest moment of the series for you, anons?
Paulie using The Godfather's theme as car horn never fails to make me chuckle.
It pretty much is the true ending. The diner is just to fuck with people.
It's a small thing, but it's when Silvio fails to remember why Ralphie killed the stripper.
"eh, I forget"
Corrado was a good singer.
explain how that would be a good ending
> tracey lying dead with her face battered in, bleeding out of her eye sockets
"what happened"
"i dunno, she tripped"
"she tripped?"
"A. she HIT me, B. shes a HOOOAHH TONEE"
pitiless
If you need it explained, it would be a waste of time to do so
Your hair was in the toilet water. Disgusting.

cahm on sil
*folds up his 3 line speech paper and looks away dismissively* i said my piece chrissy
So what the fuck was his problem? Why did he anger the huge slav commando guy for no reason, and why did he tell Tony it was Chris' fault?
Because he's a massive cunt. A super insecure one at that.
because hes a career criminal, no inhibition, violent psychopath?
Watch it, Chrissy
He gets a pass because he's an actual singer.
Paulie listening to the art of war in his csr.
sun tuh-zoo
Doesn't Meadow's actress sing as well? I recall that being the reason why she was singing so much: to shill her voice.
Because of the Cuban missile crisis.
Ralphie's joke phonecall to Paulie's mom is gold
Word to the wise, remember Pearl Harbor.
I'm hate the "Tony is a sociopath" meme, but this fucking guy is probably the only character to actually fully meet the criteria
>You raised me as a son
>Well fuck you, you lying sack of shit who loved me
whats it like, detective mike hunt reporting him for diddling boy scouts?
theyre all sociopaths, is kind of a job requirement
CARMELA
That was real? I saw that movie, I thought it was bullshit.
no
Richie abril was the worse
paulie trying to fight the ghost of mikey palmice
Is she? I thought she sounded like shit. Corrados voice was a bit shaky because he was old but it was still charming.
>favorite TV show
>Says over half the show isn't good
Faggot OP, my arch nemesis
Fuckin queers
>he doesn't remember Johnny Soprano telling Tony never to gamble
>he missed the whole arc of Tony resenting his father/father figues and acting out
>could be him out there stalking us
>with what? His COCK?
I was involved with that?
I only liked season 1,2, and the second half of 6, yes, but those parts were better than anything on TV ever.
When was this and what is he talking about?
getting old and your body falling apart. when pussy malanga got shot by uncle jun
When Paulie was so annoying Tony woke up from his coma.
tony almost dying of a heart attack with paulie blabbering away about his wrinkly old cahk
That was real? I saw that movie, I thought it was bullshit
based
>TSCC
>it never got a season 3
You don't like most of your favorite show?
I thought he said "fucking nigger", singular.
I might be remembering wrong.
see
twin peaks: season 2
season 2 had one of the best episodes ever though
>Apocalypse Now
The Doors music is classic but it does trivialize the movie's metaphysical existential depth by pigeonholing it into le wild edgy druggy 70s Hollywood. It's about VietNam obviously, but Kubrick was never so au currant about music, and most people consider his films, as a whole not just FMJ, as a step of maturity past Apolcalypse Now.
>The Lost Boys
As the years go by, it's distracting and depressing to know Corey Haim was subject to pedo predators and director Joel Schumacher was likely a middle man if not worse, just as he was for Brad Renfro. It's also a bummer that this film's reputation is trapped as semi-cheesy 80s when it's the best horror comedy ever made and gorgeously filmed and directed.
>The Sopranos
Edie Falco's ego irl is insufferable, and it's hard to dismiss in rewatches. The CGI for Tony's mom has aged terribly and mires the consistency of the ultimate masterwork. The lack of worldbuilding for the NYC mafia, Chicago, and Russia as it relates to "the families" only serves to question how Tony was so powerful with such a light weight goofy crew. Johnny seemed much too passive and uncharismatic to rule crown jewel NYC.
You are a massive retard.
>only doing one rewatch per year
My cycle is:
>Dragon Ball + DBZ English dub
>Hannibal
>Sopranos
>The Wire
>Dexter
Repeat ad nauseum

game of thrones was great in season 1, was good in seasons 2 and 3, was watchable in season 4 but it's utter horseshit after that and i watch it only ironically now
I remember watching this with my dad and being super confused. Like genuinely I watched it quietly and intently and could not even give you a basic plot summary or any character names. Just super lost from wire to wire.
I think I may have been having a stroke or something.
That's a common experience watching it for the first time.
Watch it again.
