Why do historical shows and movies always promote female warriors and female strenght, and adultery even with the highest of respectable kings and lords and make them out as degenerates?? Why do they not stick to the real stories and change it up, yet claim it's historically accurate, it really annoying, you always eventually end up seeing it in the movie or the show, it's so frustrating when you're really passionate about history and see these flaws and lies since you have studied the historical events carefully

Sadly, accuracy isn't the name of the game and it's already a momentous challenge. The more you'll learn about history or storytelling, the more you'll come to realise that there aren't historically accurate shows or movies, period.

It's a storytelling world with different rules that we can use to up stakes and make interesting characters out of, that's easily believeable because we're aware of the event that occured.

In the real world, things wouldn't have been so much different from today. It's unrealistic that people would act beyond their station, sure. And how people might act fluctuates on context sure, just as how an inner city liberal female, a woman in an afghanistan household, a mormon wife or a mainland chinese housewife might differ in social status and behaviour. But the same shit would happen historically. Realistically no one wants to go around beheading willy nilly. Though there are the general butt-nakeds of history.
