Luckily I've got a friend who has a large server he curates and allows me to access. It's pretty good that way. If you want to set one up yourself to be able to stream to multiple devices I think you have to pay either a subscription or one time fee. It works pretty great, but I stopped using it for reasons mentioned above.

plexshares is the search term to use. They cost ~$10 a month for endless curated vod and there are thousands of discord groups dedicated to them. You just set up an empty plex server in your home or on a VPS and plug their account in. It's all one way traffic so no need to worry about distributing anything illegally.
