The Spectacular Spider-Man

Fuck Gwen. I was actually liking Liz, and the series as a whole.

Liz was a cutie.

>Gargoyles gets 3 seasons and a comic
>Young Justice got a Season 3 continuation years later
>this is still dead with only 26 episodes
Fuck this world and Disney

>Spider-Boy
>Diversity raceswapping
>Puppet limbs and joints

Nah, glad its dead

any girl is better than gwen

You aren't wrong. But Liz was nice.

Liz got a good amount of development and genuinely liked Peter. Gwen was just the nice girl who Peter already knew so the show kinda treated it like they had to get together when Liz was a better character.
The writing was pretty strong so maybe Gwen would've developed more but with what we have and the unlikelihood of ever seeing more it kinda stings that Liz got such a sad ending.

The most important long-term characters were still white and it wasn't retarded low effort synergy shill shit like we get now where he's some flunky

I like how well the high school stuff was handled. I thought it'd be the worst part of the show. But Liz, Flash and MJ were woven in nicely. Shame that the show ended before we even got to the halfway point. Worse that it got replaced by something meant to hype the MCU. But it was nice while it lasted.

The show was eventually going to pair up Peter and MJ. Very, very long term, but they were the true endgame.

Yeah, Weisman not only does a tasteful job injecting diversity in his works, but he's been doing it since the 90's, before it became a self-congratulatory, performative circlejerk.

I watched this show for the first time late last year/ early this year. It was probably my favorite capeshow i've seen thus far, but i haven't seen many.

It felt like that was how it was going to go. What with how they still had three seasons left and how MJ let Pete do his spider-man thing.

>Snobby popular girl in series
>Attracted to main character as he becomes more confident
>Starts off being snobby but breaks down to being more human and stops being a jerk.
>Even when they break up shes a better person then she was before.

Why is this such a rarity in cartoons? Is going against the trope such a taboo?

Deconstruction takes time and effort. Time corporations aren't willing to provide. Effort creators aren't willing to give.

Peter's relationship with Flash was pretty entertaining too, instead of being the cliched bully trope.

Also that was her arc in the original too and it helped that the series was made by people who actually liked that

Yeah, because the Disney produced shit isn't doing it but worse

I love how massive Peter's harem was in this show. He even had MULTIPLE older girls interested in him.

Chad Parker

Betty, Liz, MJ, Gwen, and Felicia

noice

It is a multiversal constant that bitches love Spider-Man.

Probably best version of Liz of all Spider-Man media

I still can't believe they got away with an adult woman kissing a teen.

>Pretending people care if its a boy
That's sweet user

eh, she was 19

Flash and Liz I liked. Didn't have any real feelings towards MJ though.
