I kinda appreciate that though. I’m 20 hang out with a ton of retired Filipino veterans who gave me coffee and talk politics. I go and visit their alterations shop almost every day before work. As a kid I hung around a ton of weird adults like Flapjack too, I think it’s more common than most people think especially if you’re a kid growing up out on farm land in a small town. I don’t think city folks can really appreciate Flapjack fully because they’ve never had a fun age gap friendship as a kid with old timers.

It makes sense as most of the people that worked on flapjack worked on Chowder. They learned A LOT from previous cartoons.

I appreciate it's side characters more than most cartoons. They could each carry an episode by themselves honestly.
