Why is this called ''Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber'', even though Luke only used it in one movie and lost it? if anything it's Anakin's lightsaber since he used it after Attack of the Clones, fought the Clone Wars with and murdered children with, belonging to him for about 10+ years compared to the couple of weeks which includes the time between the first Star Wars and Empire, falling down into whatever Bespin's surface is, probably with Luke's severed hand still holding on to it. Luke Skywalker's lightsaber would've definately been his green one from Jedi because he built it and so far we haven't seen it get destroyed or lost or something, so why the huge importance over the old lightsaber? Why the significance? Lightsabers had no transcendental value in Star Wars nor does it make sense to have it, they're just fucking weapons, Why is this thing we last saw falling off-screen with a chopped up hand holding on to it is special now and why does the new shitty characters have to feel special about being near it? How did orange lady get it and why would she even care? Why are they using Luke's green lightsaber ignition sound effect for the old Anakin lightsaber? Why doesn't the lightsaber cut through anyone in these fucking films when we have the prequels fresh in our minds where people would get beheaded constantly? Why is it so fucking important to see close-ups of it and remind the audience they all some shitty crystal inside? Why are they INSISTING on pressing the wrong button to ignite it?

Boomers would get mad.

Haven't noticed that.
I never noticed there being a button at all. I thought that they just willed it to ignite with the Force.
Have you never owned a toy lightsaber? literally all of them have the ignition button at the thin rectangle thing in the middle and Luke even presses that button to turn it on in a new hope
Now how would they get that wrong, even less make it so clear on the screen is beyond me.
I mean I never noticed them pressing the wrong button in NuWars
>Lightsabers had no transcendental value in Star Wars
It was part of their training that they had to make one.
this doesn't mean they're magical
And transcendental doesn't mean magic.
word was used to juxtapose the importance they had in the movies in general and now during the disney trilogy
