Pretty much, yes. Them being unable to not move on made everything worse again, hell, you get early in the movie mentions how the ocean is more clean and all, so Thanos plan in the long term would been positive.

They should have done it in a way that simply brought everyone back and reset things so the people who got snapped don't even realize what happened, then you could have a similar ending to Inception where the surviving Avengers give each other a knowing look and move on.

I honestly feel like the movie was just alright. The time travel stuff was fun but it was cut together too sporadically and hard to follow. The final battle was pure cgi wank. Captain Marvel was clearly shoehorned into the movie. I liked thor and hulk in this. I dunno, i won't say I'm disappointed with the movie but my hopes were way too high

Thanos recreates the pym particles with his advanced technology on the ship and then Nebula forges a past with the machine for him to take the whole ship back.
