Lucy's 16th birthday although she may have forgotten.
Bittersweet Candy Bowl - bcb
What's with the preview banner for the next page? Has Lucy transformed into an easily-embarrassed, constantly blushing anime character? Yes, of course she has.
>Lucy's 16th birthday
It is November 7, 2008. The previous chapter was November 1 and the one before October 31. That Halloween chapter publish its first page on January 7, 2019.
The comic has covered about one week in about sixty weeks of real time.
What would you give Lucy for her birthday, co?
Daisy's fat ass is causing time dilation
To all those people who thought we were going to get an in-depth, dramatic chapter after the boring shit we had to endure for 5 months.
Too bad idiot! retardo!
You 10 pages and it's a WAAAACKY chapter where Lucy gets flustered and nothing happens!
"BEHOLD! THE CURRENT WORTH OF THE COMIC"
"Father, there is nothing here"
"EXACTLY!"
There's always short chapters between the long ones.
Except short means half a year now.
Is Lucy seriously going to throw a present in the trash?
Did Taeshi feel like she couldn't skip Lucy's birthday but had no worthwhile ideas to fit it into the ongoing story so we're getting a short silly chapter?
We've already blown about 6% of the chapter on establishing shots.
IT's the chick that made a full-on chapter about a stupid test and re-establishing stuff from before. But on the chapter where Sandy was going to meet and interact with Mike's family, she decided to cut and replace with exposition
I got the impression the SAT chapter was supposed to be a break from the relatively-intense drama of the Halloween chapter but this was a decision taking expecting the three-a-week schedule to still be in effect, which would have made it "just" six weeks instead of almost five months long.
Similarly, this birthday chapter wouldn't even be three weeks long.
A black eye
So, what was the point of the panel of Lucy yawning, the panel of her glancing to the side, the panel of her looking up, and the second panel of her looking confused? Could this information not have been conveyed with just the panel of her seeing the balloons, a single panel of her looking confused, and the final panel? The first three don't work as buildup because they're half-covered in balloons, so the surprise is ruined. If she was trying to make us feel Lucy's disorientation then that doesn't work, because our eyes go straight to the obnoxious balloon panel, so we known what's going on before we even notice that Lucy is confused/ surprised.
>Still no Mike autism
Booooooring
The confusion is probably because of the incoming noise combined with the fact she's deaf on one ear.
>deaf in left ear
>noise approaches from her left
>reacts to the right because that's the only place she can hear it
The oddest things are kept consistent and detailed in this comic.
>still one page per week
Why are they trying so hard to kill their own comic?
Mike is Right
I was more talking about the first half of the page, before they start yelling. The final three panels are ok, although the information would be just as well conveyed if they cut out the middle panel.
Incidentally, I know Lucy's brain disabilities come and go, but it's generally a bad idea to get behind an autist and start yelling. Loud noise can really freak them out.
What should Lucy get for her Birthday?
They're clearly making enough money to support two adults even with this update schedule, so why would they do more work when they don't have to?
pregnant
as a surprise
Like fucking clockwork.
An envelope with a note reading "Mike was right"
It's been 4 years and the only thing we know about Lucy's time away from the comic (that she was in a psych ward) comes from a book exclusive chapter, given that Lucy's birthday was an important event I figured this chapter was going to be the one where people who DON'T buy 40 dollar furry comics would find out some things, but apparently not.
Similarly, that her birthday was a "big thing" last time, that they spent time showing Mike was regretful over not wishing her a birthday last time and the chapter being titled "unwanted gift" I actually got excited we'd be getting some interaction that actually matters, but it's just another in a long string of disappointing letdowns.
You'd have to beat Augustus (or Alejandro, depending on how the chapter goes)
40 dollar$
I think being put in a psych ward after a suicide attempt is an automatic thing so it's not even saying much
coom
Mike could come into it in the last few pages. Maybe it's starting silly and will end srs. Bur whether that will really mean anything or it just couldn't get away that Mike not wishing her a happy birthday one year ago was a big deal. The comic has recently demonstrated very little interest in its own past.
>Lucy opens a gift-wrapped box to find the insides an oozing white mess
Someone draw it.
I wanna fuck Lucy's mom
This is the same girl who's now the center of her social circle and seems unbothered by it. She was less effusive in volume 1 before Mike started hating her and before she tried to kill herself.
which she then quickly shoves up her snatch?
Oops missed a page, this one goes between and
God i hate Lucy
Ah, so her mom taught her to be a mean bitch.
>when lucy still had a character and reacted to things
better thread up on trash 28708402
why is what seems to be character development hidden away behind paywalls and in short book-only chapters?
Often amateur comic artists make the mistake of thinking of a page as a sequence of panels, like a storyboard, rather than one whole.
I dunno, it's weird. I suppose Tae thinks her fans only care about romantic developments, rather than platonic ones.
wow that's really weird, i didnt even think it was weird without this page. thanks for posting this, it really should be in the main comic lmao???
This comic could use an actual secondary cast who appear occasionally and don't necessarily have anything major going on by themselves but who interact with the main characters sometimes. The kids' families for instance. Lucy's mom, Jordan, Hailey, and Molly should appear a little more.
Do not read this comic.
Careful with what you wish for with that monkeypaw.
That's the shit that gave us Madison & co.
I think pandering to tumblrs gave us the jolly lesbians (they're happy because they're gay)
Next present contained a turkey baster.
No it gave us Rachel, cringe pandering gave us Madison
i hate that weird hair thing she draws whenever a character with longer hair turns around.. daisy has more examples but it just looks bad. the posing in this page isnt too horrible but the weird perspective stuff just does NOT work. it's a shame cause this is a really sweet and better written chapter than what we've gotten lately. it's like one thing's working but then you look at something else and it's not, that's my biggest problem with bcb
>jolly lesbians
It would help if characters had a believable height and proportions.
Which they ONCE had.
It's funny cause tumblr does NOT give a shit about bcb. Only a small circle really talks about it and even that circle is dwindling.. I have a feeling the gay stuff was added to rebrand the image of bcb to cater to a more general audience but tumblr furries and gays could give two shits about it.
Madison seems very angry a lot of the time.
Only with other people.
Why do these characters have fingers, but not toes.
Including Jessica.
When was she ever angry with Jess?
Taeshi probably doesn't know how to draw feet.
She can't draw hand either, but that doesn't stop her.
Taeshi is a Sonic fan artist.
A Sonic/Amy Rose shipper who seems to have based "the other girl" in her comic on Sonic's love interest from one of the American cartoons.
Hands are harder to ignore than feet
Touchè.
Her hands look creepy on those chibishit bodies.
Madison is Lucy with no redeeming qualities INB4 Mikefags saying "I don't see any difference" I honestly can't blame them for feeling that regarding anything post chibishit though.
It's strange that Lucy was always Taeshi's self-insert, but her new self-insert, Madison, hates Lucy.
The manifestation of Taeshi's BPD might be the most compelling part of this comic.
This is the meta-analysis I come to these threads for.
is this lucy
Remove the pink one's dialogue in the last two panels and it's a closer fit.
It's weird that they all went trick or treating the night before their SATs, even studious characters like Daisy.
Well, one would expect the creators of a comic to work more than the bare minimum to sustain themselves o a passion project. Of course nobody here believes it's a passion project anymore, I'm just stating that.
Can anyone say what chapters 108 and 109 will be about? I'm kinda curious as to what I'm getting into later on down the line.
I've given more of a shit for the "between jobs" job I had few years back.
They're just acting their illustrated age.
>literally still nothing ever since Lucy returned
Wow. At the very least this used to have drama to keep itself going but even that is gone now, wtf how can someone sabotage their own story to this extent?
And if you're gonna switch to one release per week then either make it longer or adapt the story to go a bit quicker otherwise the fanbase will die before seeing the end of it.
They could have only been out there a couple hours, and not necessarily that late. Studying plenty but taking it easy to avoid stress the night before is a OK idea.
Or Taeshi didn't look up when the SATs were held in 2008 between Halloween and Lucy's birthday on the 7th.
>Terrible and Annoying
Mama knows best.
109 is apparently going to be Sue and Paulo bickering? At least part of it.
109 had a preview on twitter, basically some stuff with paulo and sue, tho no one can say if that's the entirety of the chapter or just that page.
Sue and Paulo should just become a couple. Better than PauloxDaisy or xLucy.
True.
I haven't seen any spoiler or anything, but it'll feature Lucy, arguing, Paulo x Daisy, Mike being sad, and Lucy.
I quite like Paulo x Rachel, myself.
He was never that into her.
here's the preview from twitter
He's never been into Sue, either. He's only ever really been into Lucy, Daisy, and possibly Tess (who went back to her home planet).
Slutpup was more of a mommy he could stick his dong into.
But since he needs a strong female not-tumblry role model in his life, I'd still vouch for her.
That or Lani.
They should just hatefuck already tbph.
Well, he does have mommy issues according to that one paywalled chapter.
>They should just hatefuck already tbph.
This would solve so many issues. They might finally start talking to each other and maybe even form a friendship of sorts.
So much of BCB can be solved by Paulo's peen.
Did we even see the others out trick&treating?
No because they're not 10 years old anymore
I could see that
the floating mouths make these character look real unappealing
How will Mike be made the villain in this chapter?
You feel it too, don't you? that Mike was Right
based
Do not read this comic.
Stealing this observation from another website but it looks like they finally managed to surprise her on her birthday. Does that have any significance?
>10 pages
That's all they're spending on this? I guess the plot hates Mike more than it loves Lucy if that's all we get for this.
>Tae changes self insert to Madison
>Lucy's lashing out and insecurity are transferred to Madison
>Lucy is left a completely different character to pre base jump Lucy
It all fits together now
It was only two months ago that Mike was clearly expressing his regret over how he treated Lucy the previous year.
Surely we're going to get some pay off on this. R-right?
>Stealing this observation from another website but it looks like they finally managed to surprise her on her birthday. Does that have any significance?
I took it that MIKE was always trying to surprised her; hence Lucy's forlorn hope in 2007 that he was waiting to spring it on her instead of choosing to snub her as he actually did.
>it's a box of condoms
>lucy
>condoms
have you not read any of the AUs
>It all fits together now
Wasn't Madison introduced before the 1 page a week thing?
Because I can easily see the negative reception to her new self insert and the baracat making Taeshi not care for her comic anymore.
But that's what she gets for fawning over handstabs comic, he at least know how to pander to Tumblrtards.
A needle can still make those true.
Quite a fitting a birthday surprise
That's why she's hovering it over the trash
He doesn't say happy birthday
Will Mike give Lucy a gift because he feels bad about last year? Will Lucy accept it?
Their relations are so bad right now I don't know why anything other than them ignoring each other would happen.
>Will Mike give Lucy a gift because he feels bad about last year? Will Lucy accept it?
Whatever Lucy does won't matter, the others will love her decision
>Their relations are so bad right now I don't know why anything other than them ignoring each other would happen.
That would make sense if we had a competent writter
Don't see why he would unless goaded or forced and even then he'd half ass it.
>10 pages
I guess there goes any hope another sleepover party, or any introspection on what's going on in Lucy's fucked up head.
The last thing she did was attempt to give him advice, so even though she did it in a very Lucy way I don't know if he's yet crossed into just ignoring her territory. The title of the chapter seems to indicate that he'll try to give her a gift and she'll reject it, but who knows. I still have no idea what the fuck the unspoken rule was supposed to be.
and who was the witch?
By being a jackass.
when is it going to turn into mike and lucy romance comic again bros its been so long
More like Shittersweet Toilet Bowl
this wouldn't be a big deal under the original update schedue, the comedic shorter in-between chapters happen all the time
Very true
Nah, even if the schedule was 3 a week wasting Lucy's birthday on some retarded joke chapter is still stupid, there's hardly anything going on as is.
Rachel is top-tier and it broke my heart that Taeshit would make her be willing to give up her dream of being a mom to be with Paulo only to then destroy the pairing in one of the most half-assed ways possible. It goes beyond poor character development it's straight up undoing development for the sake of forced pairings and cheap drama.
The good times aren't coming back user
Unless we kill Lucy
>So much of BCB can be solved by Paulo's peen
He honestly should just have taken the front seat and become the MC. He was always more interesting and entertaining than Mike, even back when MikexLucy was just your stereotypical tsundere anime romance.
>He was always more interesting and entertaining than Mike
Ah yes, with such interesting and entertaining plotlines as
"getting a burger job"
And
"being sad about Lucy for 1 or 2 pages before getting over it immediately"
or my favorite
"looking vaguely sad about not having a future despite never doing anything to fix that and the comic ending well before we'd ever see him graduate"
Truly....this is....peak entertainment...
Him and David were a riot with their stupid antics and his relationships were basically the best in the comic. If we do the same you did but for Mike then all he has is:
Liking Lucy
Not liking Lucy
being shat on forever as he progressively becomes more of a mess
It's even less entertaining and his character is just as bland.
I think Mike's conflicts are conceptually better. Becomming increasingly bitter due to the expectations of your friends to be a certain way all the time, resenting a girl for using you but still having feelings for her, clinging to your girlfriend as the only thing that's truly yours in a world that seems out to get you, even though it's obvious your relationship is falling apart. There's a lot there, it's just that Mike suffers from this thing where he only shows up if the plot needs to use him for a conflict. And this goes way back, like as far as Lucy almost sleeping with Paulo. He shows up, he voices disapproval, and we never see how the conversation ends or how this effects his mindset in the future. The closest we get is in the askbcb blog. Even in that non-canon ghost Lucy chapter, he doesn't get to explain himself when they're on the hill. He's a fairly deep character, just severely underutilized. This chapter seems to be about Mike trying to give Lucy a birthday gift, which you'd expect to be a huge deal. But it's half the length of a chapter about Daisy taking the SAT and Paulo maybe getting a promotion in the future. Taeshi's posts on tumblr and whatever seem defensive of Mike, but in the comic you'd be hard pressed to conclude she doesn't just hate the guy.
What did Daisy score on the SATs?
>tfw took those SATs
>tfw got 92nd percentile
>tfw never studied
>tfw will always be under the tyranny of choice, that if I had studied I could have scored higher and gotten into better universities
The story has grown beyond Taeshi's capability to convey it.
it may be stupid but it's in line with what Taeshi's been doing for most of the comic's run, even with the absolute lack of meaningful developments in the plot
Guys, what the fuck is a lobster gang
I defy you to name 3 plot points that you'd be excited for revolving around Paulo, Mike has
>failing relationship with Sandy, possible cuckening
Sandy's feelings about her relationship, or even why she's obviously avoiding him are a mystery to the reader, not to mention the drama of whether Mike will grow a pair and move the plot forward
>currently broken friend group who he's had issues with going back as far as the first volume
Shit like girl-beatdown Paulo led in volume 1, his bloody scarf maguffin and everyone taking Lucy's side still haven't been dealt with
>huge guilt over what he did to Lucy causing tension and drama every chapter they're central to
We still don't know how Mike feels about what happened, or if he really understands what he did wrong and how wrong it was because we're getting a bunch of stupid multi-month long chapters about SATs and Paulo wanting to fuck anything resembling Mike or Lucy instead of exploring the emotional consequences of the actual problems Mike's going through.
What is Paulo going through right now that you're so interested in seeing resolved, because from my POV there's very little standing in the way of Paulo's character resolution as it stands and whatever he could possibly "overcome" would be insignificant in any emotional depth.
the fact that it took drawing a guest page for Questionable Content for Taeshi to be grounded after one of her BPD-induced breakdowns a while back is pure pottery in a way
I wonder if the fact this was Mike's birthday will mean anything.
SOUL
Those are all nu-paulo plotlines.
You know as well as I do that it's no longer possible to do this ever since Paulo was hit with the retcon hammer for what the 3rd time? So yeah right now he doesn't have much going on, but that's because every time he had anything it had to be undone so it could go back to the Lucy drama status quo.
The thing with Mike is that while he wasn't retconned as much his entire character, struggles and background revolve around Lucy and Sandy in some way, including all 3 of the points you made. It's all he has, and it's become extremely boring because nothing significant comes out of it. Paulo was at least allowed time outside the main group and at least shit happens to him, for better or for worse. Mike went from one limbo to another, he went from being more and more aggravated by Lucy to being more and more regretful, and for Sandy he went from being progressively happier and more excited to being sadder and frustrated/bitter, and yet he's still stagnant in his little Mike corner. Lucy went and came back, Sandy came and went back and Mike is still exactly where he was before except now he's even more miserable, and the shitty writing and obvious forced plot means it's going to get dragged on until the end.
Mike's story could be good with a decent writer playing with the psychological aspects of his fear and paranoia along with his regret, it would even make for a great noir set, but with Taeshit it's just wasted potential. It might be just me but I was much more invested in Paulo's parts pre- Lucy's return than anything Mike-related and now I just hope he finally gets over the white bitch.
None of Mike's plotlines ever go anywhere. Everythings just in this limbo of suck which I've become completely numb to. His life will continue to be shitty girlfriend, shitty friends, and shitty Lucy, until it is time for him to attempt suicide because muh role reversal.
You're looking at what this plotline could be, rather than what it is. And the other anons are looking at what Paulo's plotline could be (striking out on his own in the adult world away from his toxic friend group, and having a real romantic relationship with an available girl who isn't Lucy or Daisy), rather than what it is, which is Schrödinger's faggotry, a burger job, and Daisy.
That's honestly unfair for Lucy to say that I would kinda ship her away too to a mental facility. Normal people don't have any experience with teens becuase they didn't go through the same bullshit as teens now do.
Mental institutions are rife with abuse of the vulnerable. Of course, we don't know if anything like that actually happened to Lucy, because nothing about her time away has been shown in the comic.
Because Tae's a con artist who loves to fuck with her young viewer audience. It's her whole shtick.
Step 1: Make your characters very dramatic but also relatable to your audience. All of her readers have been through depression or at least suicidal tendencies and through mental illnesses. This will work in the future.
Step 2: Literally have the mary sue be a victim of a fight between two people and showing abusive relationships. And when expelling that said issue based upon political climate that is far left causing massive support.
Step 3: Hide all character influence/development via paywall or in book chapters so teenagers buy the book from their moms and dads or from book stores with allowances. Adult children could buy more and even register for clubs easily. But the main focus is on adult children. Specifically women/feminine individuals.
Step 4: Profit enough to pay for bills and rent.
nu-Lucy is Jangmi (pink) and classic Lucy is Kyung (yellow)
Oh shit I didn't see this coming.
Huh. Taeshi hates herself. It kinda makes sense. Madison is bascially brown lucy, she's gay so she doesn't like guys. She's always angry and yelling at men. Both wear glasses and both try to act like they are someone important.
I mean Mike was pretty right but the problem is the execution as usual. Doesn't matter, if you drove someone to suicide. You kinda are in the wrong.
Paulo... I'm already a demon.
You're not responsible for a BPD chick's histrionics.
Tbf I am pretty sure Lucy only confided in her issues with Augustus, there was not a way for Mike to know that she would attempt suicide.
if you think about it Lucy's "suicide attempt" is on par with slitting across your wrists considering she's a cat
So she managed to do it that way that gets results instead of just attention?
Lucy is just one of those women who think everyone around her is a mind-reader and can tell what she's thinking. She's the classic bitch who never tells anyone what she feels or thinks then gets pissed when they act like normal despite being the person to tell them everything is fine.
>Augustus knew Lucy was probably suicidal and didn't do anything to help prevent the potential of an attempt
and people give him shit for an ambiguous sexual assault
>results
did she even have to go to physical therapy?
>can tell what she's thinking
KInda on the topic: This has always been one of Lucy's flaws. Besides wanting others to know her she also didn't know what she wants sometimes and acts against her interests as seen with her relationship with Mike before the suicide. The issue is now the story moves at a too slow pace for the drama around her and Mike and I am kinda confused about what exactly she and the story want in regards to him.
Thinking about it, Mike doesn't actually need the core friendship group. He's got Abbey and Stacy, who have no reason to ditch him for Lucy, and Abbey is friends with Jasmine's group, who are friends with Mike's sister. Hell, he could pair off with Stacy after the inevitable Sandy breakup, and double date with Jasmine and Abbey. They're people with similar interests (academics and nerdy videogames), and with the exception of Abbey's temper they're pretty chill and mature.
I was referring to her almost actually killing herself but think so. mentions a mental ward but nothing else.
inb4 Lucy accuses Mike of rape and ruins his life
That sounds really nice (although Mike and Abbey could bring out a bad side in eachother since they're both so misanthropic at the moment) but we all know this ends with him splattering his ketchup into the snow.
They have fought physically with each other in the past, but I doubt that the authors would bring any of that back lol, unless to make Abbey look even MORE worse for no reason
Who in this comic HASN'T fought?
I don't even read this shit
Mike is right
They walked home together last chapter, so they're on decent terms.
Mike is The Joker at this point.
It is just degenerate mind but the casual public nudity always does things to me even in innocent context.
What do you get when you cross an abused loner, with a waifu that abandons him and treats him like trash?
You get what you fucking deserve. BANG
Join me Mike
based
Kind of wish we'd gotten this instead of Lucy's gay best friend Augustus.
She's too afraid of Lucyfags to try this
>INB4 Augustus has been decieving Lucy this entire time to lower her guard so Alejandro can strike
I can't wait for Alejandro to rape and murder Lucy
The problem is if Mike ever did get to expound on anything that's happening the main drive of the comic would end, and most of the questions people give a damn about would be answered, as for the last part I'm like 99% sure she doesn't like Mike, I feel like I post it every other thread but she commissioned a full blown rape-fic with added physical assault for good measure, then there's the BCIs where Mike is without fail always an asshole, the asks, the questions answered on tumblr, the fact he's currently fucking 2nd behind alejandro in number of people who've drawn blood from other characters, maybe if I was just a tenth more autistic than I am I'd compile a list of the instances she shits on him.
>Taeshi on Yea Forums after December
"Yeah we're morally ambivalent toward the Mike/Lucy argument, they both messed up"
>Taeshi in 2019
"Lol look at how pathetic Mike is, SLAY LUCY SLAY"
Paulo burgers when
GIVE IT BACK
THIS ISN'T RIGHT THAT WAS OURS
WE BUILT IT GODDAMNIT
lmao 2 bit wapanese criminals.
This shit really tanked with chibishit.
10 pages will take like three months or something.
I doubt Abbey, since he's a autistic white knight with daddy issues.
He'd go fucking mental on Mike if he got all the details about December.
Stacy on the other hand is believable, especially since she's still got a "kinda sorta" crush on him.
He was there during that scene at Rachel's party where Mike explained what happened, and he's still spent time with him since then, including in their gay nerd roleplay group. He seemed more jealous that Daisy instantly took Mike's side than he was angry about Mike hurting an innocent wamen. He only white knights girls he cares about (his sister and Daisy), and he never really cared about Lucy. There'd be a lot of conflict in their friendship, and I honestly don't know if they'd even be compatible as close friends, but their characterisations are both circling around the same drain of constantly chimping out over girls who are objectively not worth it, so it'd be interesting to see them interact. I'm just sick of characters only interacting as a pretext to developing romantic feelings for each-other, I want to see new friendships blossom.
I always took Maddison to be a outlet for how Taeshi is sick of her teenage cats, since the character often insults the original cast.
I'm pretty sure the rape fic was a request and not a commission.
Unless Abbey is a total hypocrite Lucy would leave a bad taste in his mouth.
I suppose it's because she's writing from experience as a BPD inpatient, but this is honestly a very realistic portrayal of the parent of a headcase, swinging wildly between babying and very personal insults depending on how cooperative their little fuckup is being. I wish the stigma of being an attempted suicide were explored more in the main comic, it's a more interesting topic than petty romantic entanglements.
>words words words
ohh
oh
this is an emperor's new groove reference
Alright, so it's not completely lolsorandum.
I've noticed that most of the new relationships (Lucy/ Augustus, Abbey/ Jasmine, Jessica/ Taeshi) are built around being snarky about a third party that they both dislike. Is that what Tae and Suitcase's relationship is like these days?
>Two gamer bros and their girlfriends
>Bittersweet Control Alt Delete
Mike was Right
That he is
They need an enemy to push back against to distract them from one anothers flaws.
>Tip-toe squating
WESTERN C.I.A SPY DETECTED!!!
The fact that you needed to ask about that worries me more than their relationship.
It's THAT obvious.
Lucy getting blow-back for this attitude was the core of her character direction in volumes 2+3, when she was actually interesting and faced consequences for being so cowardly and stingy with her affections.
to be fair though it's clearly done for comedic effect there
iirc Madison was intended to be the sane outsider looking at the main groups drama and not having any of it
Her reactions are meant to be comedic but she just comes off as a huge bitch
I just realized after I posted that McCain filled this role much more effectively
Abbey's new friendship with Jasmine was a missed opportunity. They bond over gossiping about Paulo (annoyingly about stuff that was never shown and isn't anything like he behaved at the time) but are misunderstanding each other; Abbey really hates Paulo while Jasmine was just blowing off steam and had actually already forgiven Paulo for dumping her. When Abbey dumps Daisy in a rage and blames Paulo for his bad turn of fortune, his new friend is there to tell him he's WRONG about his "enemy".
But as it is it spent a five-page aside on this issue that's never followed up on except to show Abbey apparently having mellowed out in the SAT chapter.
I wish there would be an occasion for Augustus to push back at Lucy's attitude these days. He's become such a creampuff around her when the interesting part of their character dynamic int he past was that he didn't tolerate the bad aspects of her personality like everyone else.
So sad that now he is looking for all of the infinity stones to snap all of the other fan-characters back to life
this
