Was there ever any explanation for why this dude had fire powers and why his entire body as well as the pipe in his mouth was a silhouette?

>what is "fun character design"?

He inherited some of it from Grandfather, right?

>was there ever an explanation for why this cartoon character looked like a cartoon and had cartoon powers

People like you ruin kids shows. Grow up already.

You and I both know you wondered the same thing as a kid and this is the cartoon board so what are you really trying to say?

was there an explanation for how a giant pirate ship could sail on land? it probably crushes hundreds of houses in a minute but noone bats an eye
it's a cartoon just turn off your brain bro

They're pirates drunk on candy and so do whatever they want, it makes perfect sense. Most of the villains in the show had some kind of overarching theme that made them make sense even if the explanation was completely retarded like Mr Boss being able to procure a rocket capable of sending all his employees daughters to pluto. Father was just some guy in a big house whos kids battle the main characters and also he happened to be on fire.

Father inherited the powers from his father. Its possible the powers run off negative emotion. Its a symboitic suit

I never wondered that. He was clearly just evil with superpowers. You're just autistic.

Or how a bunch of kids had a base on the moon
Or how they were able to wipe memories with toilet plungers

I didn't wonder that, why would I?

This, there was a lot of insane shit going on in the show which leads me to believe the creators probably didn't put much deeper thought into it. The entire basis of KND makes no sense anyway, so why would other shit like Father being on fire have any real reason/logic?

He was the most overarching of themes. He was just a demonic figure representative of evil adulthood pulling the strings of his delightful children.

Why wouldn't you when it was an almost episodic thing where something bizarre was happening and it had a ridiculous or comedic tone to it.
The moonbase was just a goofy version of JL Watchtower. Also how does sucking memories out of someone with a toilet plunger not make sense?

he was more normal when he wasn't in his silhouette form.

Why would I look for answers in the obviously absurd? Father was just meant to be the embodiment of ultimate evil adults. Devil with a corncob pipe. It was pretty straightforward to me.

Because a lot of things in the show have explanations based off something absurd and get them the same episode. Father showed up a lot and his screen time usually raised questions like “is there now a hierarchy of villains” instead of answering them.

Not really though. Grandma Stuffem is just a Grandma obsessed with feeding kids. Spunkula is just a spankpire. The only villain I can think of with a solid origin/explanation is Nightbrace.

Hes a silhoutte because its a minimalist representation of the archetypal western family man, their father is the figure most children consider as the highest authority in their lives.
The fire powers well, they are just because it would be really lame for him to have no powers and they look evil.
You could try to make some connection to how fire is the one thing children are never allowed to have because of safety reasons but adults use widely but I think its a stretch.

Any idea why the Delightful Children talked in sync? It annoyed me as badly as Team Rocket's repetitive song and annoying way of talking more than anything.
And seriously 5 conjoined people? FUCKING 5 ? I was weirded out by how the fuck do they fight? how do they reach? How do they walk? How do they go to the toilet? It also pissed me off that they were too powerful in hand to hand combat despite the fact their condition would make them incredibly easy to kick their ass.

Ozai vs Father who wins this death battle?

I always wondered about this as a kid too. Specially since his kids didn't really have powers, they were just weird.

Do we ever see much of ozai fire bending outside of the sozin comet power boost?

Rewatch it. Its a pretty fun show

Its part of the charm. Most of there 2x4 doesnt even make sense but they look cool and how kids perceive them

>as a kid
bingo
you're not a kid anymore, autismo
do you also still question how all of the KND "tech" that was made out of garbage and junk magically functioned?

>it is a show for kids so it doesn't need consistent internal in-universe logic

You are the kind of people who would say sonic would win in a fight with superman, because he is cooler.

Sonic would win in a fight with Superman because you have just written it.

He shoots lightning at Zuko when Zuko tells him he's helping the avatar. That's about all I know of.

I just read through this thread and are there seriously people saying that children asking questions is autistic? "Where did his fire powers come from?" isn't on the same level as intense theory crafting or some actually autistic shit, it's a kid asking a question.

Toilenator, too, if you count the tie-in comics.

user, the KND universe is inherently and utterly illogical. The stuff in this show doesn't require much explanation beyond "because it's funny" or "because it's cool".

>? I was weirded out by how the fuck do they fight?
in sync
>How do they walk?
in sync
>How do they go to the toilet?
in sync
>It also pissed me off that they were too powerful in hand to hand combat despite the fact their condition would make them incredibly easy to kick their ass.
they were really weak without the mecsh their father gives them only when they were broken free did they fight well

>Spunkula
