Fuck what you heard
I think what they were going for is that they were saying fuck it to tradition because the world is ending so why not
Would have been a more effective scene if they weren’t saying fuck tradition for the last 4 seasons
BECAUSE ALL WOMEN ARE QUEEN
This was a nice moment but only if she dies shortly after.
It would've been a better scene if they didn't have to actually say "fuck tradition."
That's not a woman
She cant be a Ser is she a Ler
And she totally should have had a shield with a green tree in the clip of the final battle. And he attacked by her cousin Hodor
Only scene i liked in the first two episodes, desu.
>en.wikipedia.org
More lIke Order of the Hatchet Wound , right !?
Fuck tradition
I'm fine with her being a knight because it's not like any of the characters give a shit at this point. All or most of them are gonna die within the next 48 hours as far as they're concerned so why care now.
The thing that bugs me is the whole "A knight can make a knight" shit. In the books you needed to be anointed by a septon to become a knight and I'm pretty sure it comes up in the show at some point as well. Some random knight can't just wave his sword around and make knights all over the place. It would have made more sense if they said that a lord (since the only candidates for lord Lannister are Jaime and Tyrion) or the commander of the Kingsguard (Jaime is still the commander right?) can make a knight. It would still be retconning but at least it would make more sense since it's a more prestigious title
Nah you didn't NEED to have any religious ceremony, any knight can make a knight. Lots just choosw to have a religious ceremony as part of the process.
Look at Sir Duncan the Tall. His (fake) story of being knighted by his dying master is taken at face value with no religious ceremony needed.
whats the problem with it
born with a dick
>i'd knight her ten times!
what did he mean by this?
But there is an inflation of knights in Westeros, some of them Lordless or even homeless. They are called hedge knights because of that.
I AM NO-MAN!
Cringe
He would swing his ‘sword’ around her face
nobody on planetos has a problem with lady knights except westeros
BIG!
They literally could tho in the real world
GIANT!
MILKIES!
>This was not a military order, but it was one of the few female honorific orders.
OH NONONONO
This scene made me feel good and happy. Am I becoming a soiboy?
a fucking wildling said fuck tradition, why are you guys getting so ass blasted by this?
>Hey dudes, I know im not from here, and for quite a while we were mortal enemies, and im from butt fuck nowhere where this kind of stuff doesn't exist, but fuck your history and traditions.
aka
>I know fucking children is not okay in your part of the world but it is in mine and you need to accept it
aka
>muslims
you literally have to go back you fucking virgin rat
Only incels are mad about this.
have sex
naw, you probably just want snoo snoo
unironically this
Incels can you tell me why are you so upset about the fuck tradition thing, when the traditions of the western countries made you bitter virgin outsiders that will never have a shot at procreating?
So should we exclude from cinema and TV any dialogue or scenes where a character expresses ideas that can be detrimental to society?
Stop attempting to engage in debate. You were not made for that.
>Incels can you tell me why are you so upset about the fuck tradition thing
Because it was the two jews inserting their own opinion into the scene with no subtlety whatsoever. Might as well have made Tormund say "The age of white men is over, time for women to take over". Also, traditions are integral to a healthy society. Without them you get anarchy and the faggotry you have today
Before I, an incel, answer your question, there is one thing I'd like to know.
Are you from Reddit?
it's the end of the world retards, when do you think Joan of Arc was given full arms? When the Kingdom was about to be lost.
the only scene of this season with decent writing, emotion and a good Djawadi soundtrack
seething incels
>when do you think Joan of Arc was given full arms?
Never. Joan of Arc served the role of an inspiring mascot and that was pretty much it. She was no warrior or anything like that.
Go back to /pol
im still waiting for a response from you incels instead of just shitty insults
I understand that tradition is important, but it shouldn't be the sole reason why something shouldn't happen. Brienne is an excellent swordswoman, so I'm sure she'd make an excellent knight.
because bitter autists that spend their time shitposting and playing vidya with no benefits toward larger society or even living by some moral ideals shouldn't procreate, faggot
western thought has emphasized the belief that their is absolute truth and beauty in the world and it is the duty of man to find it. this is the highest aim anyone can hope to live for and the west has reached the peak of civilization for embracing it. modern and post-modern thought which states their is no absolute good or truth is antithetical to this, and is antithetical to reality itself. the show praises many of these modernist ideas and is shit for it
Tolkien, on the other hand, set truth and beauty as the crux of his storytelling and that's why it's a classic, and GoT is normie trash
>Brienne is an excellent swordswoman, so I'm sure she'd make an excellent knight.
Being a knight is way more than being just an excellent swordsman. If that was the case most people that participated in wars would make for a knight.
Yes I am
But women are not men
Oh wait
So if they are deemed parasites and useless to society why do they defend the current norms?
>glorified cheerleader!
Hello eternal anglo!
>"No woman can be a knight!"
>"I am no woman!" *drops pants*
>room erupts in applause
Bravo, Martin.
When they say 'fuck tradition' they actually mean fuck salty book readers show is now canon
Anything can be granted a title....hell, they gave dogs titles and rank in war, so it's fitting they should do the same to their pet woman.
Why does she want to be a knight? She's a lady a knight is a downgrade.
the writers should be able to convey such things without literally spelling them out. bad writing.
Isnt she a knight anyway since Renly made her part of his honourguard?
>When they say 'fuck tradition' they actually mean fuck...
....whites, Christians, and western values and customs.
I suppose so. I simply forgot to mention that she's kind and protects the innocent and is as just as they come. She fits all of the qualifications, but because of a baseless tradition, she wasn't able to be knighted until that episode.
Ser Lady Brienne of Tarth ?
titles breed titles
Alright, now to your question you miserable cosmopolitan pathetic excuse of a worm.
>fuck tradition
>knights her according to tradition
I got nothing for it.
I just said why faggot
because even if they're hermits or strangers to the society, they recognize the culture/heritage as good.
it's like a murderer agreeing that he committed a crime and should be locked away, it doesn't make him good or an acceptable member of society but at least he's sane. a man that goes on a killing spree and says it's A-Okay is mad
Alright so what does Brienne lack to be a knight?
>Tolkien, on the other hand, set truth and beauty as the crux of his storytelling and that's why it's a classic
As they should, out with the old in with the new. Change can't be stopped.
have sex
A tradition of changing traditions is what made America into what it is today.
Why don't you guys at least try to fomulate an argument?
It is quite clear that you don't know what the writers meant by " tradition".
They would love a society where race realists are heavily shamed for example.
OH NO NO NO NO
I hope this show has taught incels that women can do literally anything.
go have sex you fucking loser
What has Brienne done to deserve a knightship? What service has she rendered to make her valuable for that title? She endangered the life of Arya, she forgot her duty to save Sansa in order to get revenge on the rightful Westeros king Stannis, thereby giving the Boltons a much needed boost. Not only that but Stannis was the only one who took the White Walkers seriously back then. She did no service to the Starks (Ned and Robb were supportive of Stannis' claim) or the Baratheons. She only did service for Renly who was long dead by that time.
She has done nothing to deserve a knightship and she only got it because, let's be real here, the creators want to appeal to the feminists with the "well, women can do everything men can do" shit.
Based and reddit triggering.
wew
What the fuck are Christians? Do you mean Easter worshipers?
The only "old" shit that's getting thrown out is white "tolerance" of shitskins and the kikes that support them.
Should the army be made of 51% female soldiers?
he literally did, are you retarded?
virtue ethics (catholic version of course) is almost literally the basis for how the ring and temptation impacts people, look at Gollum/smeagol, Gandalf v Saruman, and the various kings/heirs and it's pretty fucking obvious the philosophy of it boils down to people having a way they are truly supposed to be/act, and your morality stems from whether or not you do that. I mean this is to the point that it's used as a way of teaching virtue ethics to people in school
plus the back and forth constantly of what things should be at their 'best' and how people fail to reach it, which is the opposite of GRRM's hack as shit 'everyone corrupt all bad xD god is dead nihilist wicked sense of humor' with no artistic effort put behind it
this is so important
Thank you for demonstrating my point.
which is the problem
Nah it was a nice scene and definitely foreshadowed shes a goner next episode. That whole fireside chat plot was the best part of the episode
do people not remember that she was knighted by Renly in season 2 to enter his kingsguard?
she executed the traitor Stannis Baratheon, why wouldnt she be made a knight?
have sex
>she executed the traitor Stannis Baratheon
...fuck
left can't meme
Have sex anyway.
mandela effect
guys i had sex this weekend btw
No because Brienne is a legit good fighter and is probably the most honerable character, now is Arya had been knighted I would have lost my shit.
he literally just said "fuck tradition" to impress a girl
I dont remember quite well but I think she didnt get knighted, she just got her wish to be a part of the kingsguard, just like the hound was part of joffreys without being a knight too
What the fuck are you on about retard? It's the exact opposite of what you stated. The removal of traditions which governed relationships and society is what's causing the explosion of the beta male virgin population.
Tell us more about your kid books and the knights in shining armor.
its the removal of traditions that made you an ugly, awkard motherfucker that cant hold a fucking conversation to save his life?
have sex
>The removal of traditions which governed relationships and society is what's causing the explosion of the beta male virgin population.
>WOMEN IN FILM IS THE REASON I CAN'T FUNCTION
Holy shit.
A dick. Knighthood is an hereditary patriarchal system that was implemented in accordance to the legal system of inheritance. Being a knight was often as much about that that about fighting skill, even if most of knights were very skilled warriors, since it was the very justification of their status. A social and political system. Joan of Arc was fighting like a knight, rode as one, led armies as one, but was never recognized as such. Brienne is a bit in the same situation, less the religious aspect. The thing i have troubles with is Brienne not getting as much respect: while not being a knight, she is still a towering walking death machine. Meanwhile, Joan was very respected and loved. In fact, when you prove your worth, most warriors will respect you in such a society. Here, most dont, which doesnt make much sense in a society copied over medieval europe, in which she would have been seen as a tremendous asset. And even less when she can crack your skull open with one punch. Not allowed to be a knight or going in tournaments reserved to the nobility, but not treated as shit either. Because our ancestors were not complete retards.
I'm not even that user, but these are roastie-tier arguments. I'm actually surprised you still haven't hit him with the "have sex, virgin lol".
She isn't knighted she is just made a kingsguard
>Brienne wrecks Renlys bumboy to get on the kingsguard
Brienne was always based, and possibly redpilled.
Knight comes from germanic word for servant.
In romance speaking countries they're called Horsemen or Cavaliers.
Lowest level of noble.
Women weren't trained as horsemen, thus no female knight but there was an equivalent rank for women, though.
She's supposed to be a Dame.
why can't Brienne create her own order of female knights instead of trying to appropiate something entirely male?
this sex is good for you
also, it would be good for her too, I just want Tormund to give her a nice savage fuck so she can finally chill the fuck out
>Tormund
The "funny le reddit" character.
seriously, why are you so obsessed with reddit?
this, there is literally nothing wrong with being reddit
Because she is one of a kind. Strong female warriors are not completly unheard of, but still very rare. And who would she recruit ? Tomboyish noblemen daughters that had their fathers accepting to train them ? She would get what ? 2 recruits ? Daughters of common people with strength but no training, and no wealth to get gear, both which makes a big difference on the battlefield ?
And she is not really a leader, rather a follower. Being a valued woman-at-arms with the best gear her lord can afford is completly ok.
Because they are faggots and you're one of them.
Hello George, are you finished with those books yet?
kek, I don't even visit reddit at all, I found that page's format extremely boring, better luck next time sweety
How about you two roasties instead explain how those traditions were preventing me from functioning since that's what you apparently believe.
A game of chess is like a swordfight
Are people actually upset by this or am i to retarded to realize it is only meming
how would I know, I don't get out of my house to talk with people, and we all know the internets is filled with "woke vs red pilled" arguments
people on this board are memeing but I reckon some /pol/tard or some mutt larping as white nationalist actually got somewhat triggered
Maggot the frog prophecy told Cersei that a woman younger and more beautiful than her will take all she holds dear, and at the end of it all she will be strangled by her valonqur (little brother)
In the books maggy is an ugly old hag who lives in a swamp.
Jaime has fallen in love with briane because she did what he wanted to do. A chivalrous Knight, skilled at arms, defending the innocent. Instead he was a joke of a kings guard, more hostage than knight, his greatest claim to fame being that he killed the frail old king he swore an oath to protect.
Note Tyrion’s remark to Jaime: “You knew exactly what she was, but you loved her anyway” loved is used past tense purposefully here. It’s a tacit admission that the fact that Jaime left her, of his own volition, to die in winter fell, is proof that the two are no longer in love.
Brianne will die to the undead, and somewhere along the line he will find out Cersei fucked Euron (reminder Jaime thinks she’s only been with him and Robert, and he was cool with that cause he was the one cuckolding Rob. Jaime has never known about her and lancel)
That’s gonna be the straw that makes Jaime kill Cersei. All triggered by Jaime seeing brianne fall at Winterfell.
Talk more shit of Imrahil, and I will rape you.
Have sex first.
Yes, by raping you.
You wouldn't know where to put it, virgin.
(You).
You wouldn’t understand.
there was no female knight combatant in history and you'll get triggered by this fact
the people who are good looking and can have conversations, had sex and are doing well socially are waiting for you to tell us what benefit does a old "untraditional" whore brings to one's life
no. i cried so much. that and during the theon scenes. ;;___;;; tears were flowing down my face for minutes lmao.. AAAAAAAAHHHH ㅠ.ㅠ.ㅠㅠ!!!!!
Its legit a good scene, my favorite of this season. She's a good character and Jamie is an awesome character. Woman can't be knights but she autisticly embodies everything that it means to be a knight. Brienne earns her knighthood unlike Rey who does not earn becoming a jedi. Also we all have a bit of soi inside us for even watching this shit.
have sex
lmao you obviously didn't read the books if you think 1. GRRM won't do it and 2. that knights are worth a shit in Westeros
>ywn fuck a giantess
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I wish Tyrion had said that line to Jaime about Cersei fucking that whole list of guys that included Podrick in the show. and i wish we had a scene of Cersei fucking Podrick
Literally the only likable female character right now, and she's a goner next episode
Likeable is a big word, she's more like unworthy of hate
This scene was great except for the part where brienne became a “Sir” they should have just knighted her but not tried to shove that tranny propaganda in our faces.
Call her Mame Brienne or something, women can never be called “Sir” that’s a man’s title
He’d put his sword in HER sheath.....
Also, did you know that the word “vagina” means “sheath” in latin?
It has nothing to do with that, even if it were true, the scene is a subtle attempt to blur the lines of genders, I’ll admit it is a well shot emotional scene, but that doesn’t make it good.
Also Incels literally don’t even exist, anyone can have sex.
they called her ser because it's a knight title, its only association with having a penis was women being barred from the knighthood
they called her ser because she became a knight, not a man, I'm not seeing where you're getting "tranny propaganda" from
>anyone can have sex
wanna know how i know you're a roastie?
HUSTLE BONES COMIN' OUT MY MOUTH
sure. reason people turn out that way is because they're allowed to. in a traditionalist society, they would be forced to learn how to act, no matter how much it might discomfort them
when 30% of guys haven't gotten laid it's not because they're some minority of retarded losers who'll always never get laid. these are basically normies getting fucked by a system that doesn't even manage to tell them how to properly behave, with all its confusing self-contradictory admonishments and insane disproprtionate punishments for fucking up, never mind demand they do, so they just sign out of it completely and go play video games instead like any sane person would
The soundtrack is so underused in recent seasons.
One of the consistently good things about GoT is music, Ramin keeps nailing it but when you listen to the soundtrack on its own, so little of it is used.
no, as a female knight, oxymoronic though that designation is, you'd call her a dame
calling her a ser is retarded
>incels
stopped reading
Meanwhile, in real history, women could be kings.
See Queen Jadwiga of Poland. Based as fuck. My favourite king.
>my favourite king was a chess piece because it had tits
man, if you're gonna pick a favourite based on something retarded at least pick someone like charles the 12th or someone else who was actually cool. guy's legacy was the eternal cucking of sweden, but at least he burned brightly up to that point
ITS NOT
A FUCKING
GAAAAAMEEE
Who knighted Batman?
imagine being such an assblasted /pol/tard that you seethe over every little thing in media that goes against your worldview
Jeanne d'Arc was largely an exception, but she was a fantastic one. Contrary to what some say, she was a brilliant tactician who loved using artillery and cavalry to confuse and flank her opponents. She was great at commanding and inspiring, though she personally never attacked anyone. The most violence she ever gotten into was when she kicked a nobleman that attempted to rape her while she was being held captive. However, she was on the receiving end of many injuries, from arrows to the shoulder to rocks to the face. She was also a humble girl, redirecting all praise she received to God, whom she loved so deeply. Though it is true that she wasn't a fighter, she was a fit, young girl with seemingly endless endurance. Reducing her role to a mascot is insulting.
Also, she had to pass multiple tests judging her purity and piousness before the Dauphin made her the commander of France's military, and many still doubted her until her many victories.
dilate, discord degenerates
Female knights are called "Dames"
Also google Joan of Arc ya fucking incel.
For the love of Good.
Take a shower
Lose weight
Have sex
Get a clue
I wish I could marry and impregnate Saint Jeanne d'Arc.
Reminder that Jeanne
>Was extremely pious
>Was extremely nationalistic
>Was extremely pure
>Was extremely beautiful
>Had large breasts
>Had toned legs
>Had a slight tan
>Had black hair that she cut short
>Had a low, enthralling voice
>Was really smart despite being illiterate
>Was 5’2”
>Loved cannon
>Loved her country
>Loved God
>wanted to raise a family on the countryside after the war was over
>Had top tier bants
>Could maybe predict the future
>Was the best!
this is why no one likes the french
It was a genuinely powerful and heartwarming scene. The entire fireplace scene was pure wholesome kino.
To add to this, Barristan Selmy and Arthur Dayne knighted Jaime immediately after their battle with the Kingswood Brotherhood.
t. seething Anglo
Granted, I don't like the French as much as I love Jeanne
youtube.com
OH NO NO NO AHAHAHAHA
That reminds me, I still need to watch the Passion of Joan of Arc. I've heard it is one of the best films ever made, which is fitting for the best girl in history.
I wonder what it must be like to autistically waifufag for some deceased french hag that got raped before death
I don't know, for I love a young French woman who lived and died pure.
>im still waiting for a response from you incels instead of just shitty insults
>posts ad-hominem based to insult and shame the character of an user for having a different opinion
>complains they are returning ad-homines to his own.
kys fagg.
"Brienne of Tarth" literally is fat man's "Joan of Arc" btw
I've never actually watched or read Game of Thrones. Could you tell me what she's like?
she's a big girl
Nice. If only Jeanne was also tall.
imagine being this retarded
IT'S WHAT YOU HEARING
she's a very sweet soul who freaks out the first time she kills someone in the books. in the show she's Me Stronk Womyn
They are going all out since it's the last season.
I see. She seems to be rather popular, but I assume that is based on the show's portrayal of her instead of how she is in the books. Jeanne was also extremely kind. Though she was a ruthless general, she was very much a shy and polite girl when not in battle. She would sometimes comfort men she found dying on the battlefield by laying their head on her lap and listening to their final confessions before they passed away. She'd do this for both the English and the French soldiers. It's a shame that Jeanne and Brienne are reduced to Womyn Stronk when there is so much more to them.
I don't even know what this is supposed to mean.
>the only scene of this season with decent writing, emotion and a good Djawadi soundtrack
You don't know shit people. Only good scene of this season to this point was reunion of Sansa and Theon. Literally only scene with non cringy, convincing emotions from both actors.
youtube.com
She is so fucking ugly. Almost Arya level.
Renly didn't give her a knighthood. Another subtle layer to the scene is even Renly flaunting himself as the people's king wouldn't go against tradition to knight Brienne. Renly was only kind for appearances. Jamie knighted Brienne out of pure admiration for her achievements and personality.
