I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie. I would still say as an actual BoP movie, it was shit though, but on its own, it was surprisingly good. The action sequences were surprisingly great.

What they did to Cassandra Cain was pretty inexcusable though. And I still fucking hate Harley Quinn.

>Says something retarded
>Tries to rationalize being retarded
Face it bro.

It's a pretty good example of a "It was a bad [x] movie but a good [y]."

I also liked the action but Black Mask’s death was dumb and that one biker guy’s beard was way more flammable than it should be

The Harley Quinn in this movie is more authentic than the one in the comics because it actually portrays her as a terrible person instead of a scoundrel with a heart of gold.

>The action sequences were surprisingly great.
All two of them.

Stop shilling so hard, it's over.

It's a good example of "I don't care that it's flaming garbage, I think it's fun and I liked it for reasons that I can't articulate because I'm fucking retarded".

>portrays her as a terrible person
But that's wrong. The movie tries to whitewash her murder of Robin, justify bombing a factory because "public relationship status update", justify murdering a driver because "he was a creep", and generally justify every bad thing she does because MEN.

Chill the fuck out dude lol

Don't be a brainlet and I just might.

>The movie tries to whitewash her murder of Robin
She literally says "I have no problem killing kids" when she talks to Cassandra in the supermarket
>justify bombing a factory because "public relationship status update"
That's not a justification, that's her stupid and dangerous way of telling the city she's not with the Joker
>justify murdering a driver because "he was a creep
Again, not a justification.
>generally justify every bad thing she does because MEN.
She was gonna sell Cassandra off to Black Mask just to save her own skin.

But that's wrong. Harley openly admits she's a shitty person, even at the end of the movie. Not to mention all the other characters that call her out.

Honkey, you literally started throwing out personal insults just because I said that I liked it, while also admitting that it has almost nothing to do with the source material and wasn't perfect by any means.

>All two of them.
But there were much more than that? It actually surprised me how much action there was.

>Honkey
kek am I supposed to be offended? You really must be retarded to complain about personal insults and utter them in the same breath. Calling you retarded really isn't an insult at that point, just an observation. You are retarded, user. Not because you liked it, but because you don't have the capacity to either understand or express why.

>Not because you liked it, but because you don't have the capacity to either understand or express why.
This is literally an Indonesian basket weaving forum, fuck off. People have expressed much, much worse or dumber things and have gotten less shit for it. Calm down and accept that maybe someone liked a movie that you did not.

>The action sequences were surprisingly great.
Not surprising because they hired the John Wick guy to reshoot them because their quota hire director was incompetent at it.

That explains a lot

This. I had no idea about any of that. Shit

The movie is ok as a one off. There was a lot of action and it wasnt the worst version of Harley.

Everything is super flammable in that world though.

Kinda felt like a tarentenowhatever movie, if you removed building suspense with dialogue.

I ain't watching this shit

I liked it. I can see why people have problems with it.

Cass, admirable Quinn, Quinnpool and it was not really a BoP movie.

this.
birds of the gay is garbage

The movie tries to paint her as a good girl that got mixed up with a bad crowd (MEN) and absolve Harley from responsibility for her.
>not a justification
But it is. When a cop decides to let Harley go and joins her just because the big mean men keep mansplaining instead of listening to her, the writers directly justify the cop's and Harley's actions as some kind of fuck-you to the patriarchy when actually it's fuck-you to people (male and female) who don't want to get blown up in factories.

I never really got any fuck the patriarchy vibes apart from every time someone got punched in the dick. Especially with the cop’s arc since she was also screwed over by her ex girlfriend. I wish the cop had a more satisfying end to her arc instead of just packing up her shit and leaving while that nigger cop took all the credit. Like she should have asked Harley to shoot his dick off or something

>took all the credit
Those are the "fuck the patriarchy" vibes. It's pretty clear when the dumb MAN gets the promotion even though the smart woman did all the work, that it's a hamfisted nod to how women are oppressed. Don't get me wrong, some women are definitely oppressed, and women in general are "the weaker sex" as it were. But maybe if you're making a revenge fantasy with a wacky murderer who blows up factories, you should play it as a straight-up revenge fantasy. Mad Max is a revenge fantasy, but it's set in a lawless world where Max is sort-of justified in fucking shit up. Birds of Prey tries to justify Harley fucking shit up because of the mean men, but unlike Mad Max or Room or Kill Bill, the situation is not nearly fucked up enough to justify the extreme measures.

In Kill Bill, the Bride murders a guy who raped her (repeatedly?) while she was in a coma. In Birds of Prey, Harley Quinn murders a guy who creeped on her. SO WACKY!

Why the fuck would you make a R rated harley movie without a topless scene with her in it

>Harley Quinn murders a guy who creeped on her

she's still a bad guy.

>she's still a bad guy.
Not him but a big problem with modern Harley, in any format really, is that she is so goddamn inconsistent. She is "have your cake and eat it too" the character. One minute she's a villain, then a hero, then an anti-hero, all the while no one can criticize her or what DC does with her because "she's crazy". Hell she in a spread shot sitting with the Justice League with absolutely ZERO justification as to how or why, not to mention no one bats an eye at her crimes

I honestly thought this movie was pretty good but what they did to Cassandra Cain is unforgivable. I'm honestly hoping that if this movie does bad that DC won't go back to making terrible movies like Justice League.
Also even if you hate this movie you gotta admit that egg sandwich looked pretty damn tasty.
