Huh, that was a happy accident. Anyway, are you currently reading The Terrifics? Enjoying it thus far? Phantom Girl a cute

Shitty FF's ripoff. Also no Thing no party

I'm a Michael Holt guy.

Wouldn't Metamorpho be the Thing, in this case?

Yeah. he would be. What they don't have is a Human Torch

Arguably Plas would be, in terms of personality, while being Reed in terms of power.

Was any of the other NotMarvel books worth anything? I hear Sideways was decent.

Technically, he can also create fire, it’s a chemical reaction

Both good points.

Sideways, Silencer, and arguably Brimstone were all worth a read. Go check them out. I really hope those guys stick around.

Plastic Man's solo was dog shit so I'm glad this book is still going on I've been buying it since it came out, but im only at issue 10. Fun read.

It was better than any FF4 comic of 2010s specially Slott abortion

I haven't kept up with Slott's F4 but I did think that issue with Hulk crashing Ben's honeymoon was cool

I like all these characters (aside from fake Phantom Girl), Gene Yang's clearly having fun, which is always nice, and I'm hyped for the CYOA issue, but this still feels like a "fake team" (no organic reason for them to be together) and it's really hurting for a solid, consistent artist on the book although again, excited for Dan Mora on #25. That said, I'll continue buying it, Yang's always a solid read.

What's wrong with Phantom Girl? She's not the Legion one

It's been a fun ride. I'm pretty sure I missed some issues in the middle but I know I've read past what the two trades that are out have and someone was nice enough to post the issues with Bizarro not too long ago.

I stopped reading after Tom Strong. When did it The Terrifics get good?

The writer changed after that, so just pick up where you left off I guess.

Terrifics is such a nice book. I had trouble understanding the Doom Java thing but still, great book

I buy into the lie. In fact I think I love those type of in media res teams.

>I stopped reading after Tom Strong. When did it The Terrifics get good?
The very beginning. If you didn't like it then, you won't like it now, and probably don't like interesting comics.

I love mr. Terrific, and fantastic four has Slott writing it. So for now at least, Make Mine DC.

For pretty much just this book, everything else DC is doing is trash.

This is such a nice cover but the message is kind of confusing when you have heroes and villains mixed in surrounding them

Maybe it’s them up against like the A-listers?

Every new round of solicits saying it isn't cancelled brings a smile to my face.

At the moment it's the only DC ongoing I pull (GL doesn't count).

Wonder Twins was cool too but sadly that ended.

Oh you better believe that was on the list

What's this even about? Why are they together?

>Created just to make a jab at The Fantastic Four, who at the time didn't have a book
Nice fan fiction retard. The team was created because Lemire wanted to write a Metamorpho book but Didio shot that down because it would have sold like shit. So Didio suggested doing a team book with Metamorpho instead and offered Plastic Man and Mr. Terrific to Lemire. Lemire then got the idea to do a F4-esque take and that’s how we got the Terrifics.

Not everything is part of Yea Forums‘s retarded obsession with company wars.

4 people hanging out and doing cool shit together. They got stuck together because of Dark Multiverse shenanigans. They parted ways for a bit but realized they actually liked hanging out together so now they keep hanging out together because all of them have pretty miserable lives on their own. It works pretty fine for me. It’s nice to have a team that’s not lead by one of the Bat brats.

Originally they were forced together after the fallout of Snyder's METAL story. Simon Stagg was being a jackass, trying to exploit the resources of the dark multiverse which led to both Mr. Terrific and Metamorpho to be involved. They got sucked into other dimension, along with a dormant Plastic Man (in egg form, brought along because he fucks with dark matter/metal or something) and arrive on the corpse on a dead celestial entity that's pretty much a Galactus nod. From there they find a stranded Phantom Girl (not the LoSH one, but the same race) and a cryptic message from Tom Strong.

Long story short they got together by accident and have multiverse adventures. Last one involved Bizarro World Bizarro and "The Terribles"
user....look at that fucking New Age of Heroes line. I don't give a fuck about company war autism, it was definitely a jab at Marvel
>Sideways-Spider-Man
>Damage-Hulk
>Brimstone-Ghost Rider
>Silencer-Black Widow
>Terrifics-Fantastic Four
So you can get off your high horse

Sideways and Silencer were fine.
I liked the Terrifics too

Slott's FF is fine, but this really is the best FF book since Hackman.
IMO the connecting line is being alienated from your family, with Plas leaving a whole life behind, Holt not valuing them while they were alive, Rex having the worst father-in-law and Phantom QTie being time displaced from her parents.

Do Silencer and Sideways have a chance at solo books again? They're sticking around in cameos as far as I'm aware, and both were well received. Silencer recently appeared in Wonder Woman's solo book, and Sideways was in Heroes In Crisis (for some reason). Oh fuck! I just remembered Bendis is putting Derek on Young Justice. God fucking dammit.

>What they don't have is a Human Torch
neither did Fantastic Four for a time because of controversy

>The team is actually fun, with a surprising dynamic between each of them
I'm sure a retard would think that for real.

Nah, sorry shill.

I don't like how every Silencer appearance just fully ignores her own series.

Fuck off Slott shill, he's trash.

DC doesn't attack Marvel, OP. They're too well-mannered.

Kys shill

It's hard to tell when in the timeline her other appearances take place.

I really hope they never address what Bendis has made of her people.

What did he do?

Also The Unexpected was Defenders, Immortal Men was X-Men, and I guess Challengers was FF again?

Was the Unexpected any good? It looked kinda cool.
I mean, technically the FF is a Challengers rip-off, but that was Jack Kirby ripping off the King.

Tinya is more alien looking than Linya.

But that's just it. We haven't seen what her people look like in the 31st century.

She's probably just an exception.

Attached: 20200301_141527.jpg (130x136, 25K)

It was ok. The plot ended up being a weird, unnecessary followup to Final Crisis.

Man, I at least remembered that Immortal Men was a thing. It took me a while to even remember what the Unexpected was after seeing this and that I had read the first issue. They should have just rebooted the old Unexpected comic series.

Bleh something minor, it can be retconned out easily.

Underappreciated book.

>weird, unnecessary followup to Final Crisis.
Elaborate?

I'm mostly enjoying it, but the Bizarro arc went on too long and felt disjointed - neither as funny or as deep as it wanted to be. It's disappointing, because I'm a big Yang fan. Hoping it picks up after the CYOA.
>I'm hyped for the CYOA issue
It came out like two weeks ago, my man.

Mandrakk came back and they visit the dead Monitor city where the Superman Thought-Robot originally beat him for their final showdown.
