Pure kino. The arrow isn’t real.

One of the best conquistator movie ever made.

A movie that had to be made through the continual threat of a murder-suicide.

I feel like it's more fun to read about the production of this movie than the movie itself. I liked it though.

Popol Vuh

btw it's on Kanopy

great movie vibes though it gets more humorous towards the end in an odd way.

makes you want to watch apocalypse now right after

real mothefuckin K I N O

Kinski kino. Kinskino.

explain.....please

Greatness. Although I still prefer Fitzcarraldo.

What movie is this and what is it about?

Kino of the highest order.
I couldnt take the Revenant seriously because i went into the theatre having already seen Aguirre and it made it look amateurish.

reaaaally boring and slow plot. the production value is so low that its almost not even a movie. its not a movie like you normally think of a movie. its really hard to watch. i wouldnt bother to be honest

its mostly praised because of the difficulty of making this movie, but for someone like me that is interested in history it was ok, the real story of aguirre is so much more interesting

also this, if you are a zoomer you wont have the attention span for this movie

Kino

Kinski and herzog nearly killed each other

Aguirre, The Wrath of God. It's about Conquistadors searching for El Dorado and what happens to them.

I have seen Fitzcarraldo and really enjoyed it.

one of those movies people only really like post-hoc. its treated with reverance in film but really its slow and nothing really happens. not necessarily bad just quite arty. if you just stumbled upon this at midnight on tv you wouldnt really like it unless you had heard of kinski, herzog or its vague connection with apocalypse now. tbf the end is quite cool.

one of the best movies ever made

I don't know but that girl on the right looks hot af desu senpai

A bad time. They should have fed that faggot to the locals.

shes like 14 in that picture

Radical kino

reading the plot summary, sounds like the most pointless movie ever

only looked it up because the girl on the poster looked cute. also it says the guy this is based on murdered his daughter, but in the movie she gets shot by a native arrow

so wtf bruh. nice historical accuracy

Unironically bad acting and directing the lead actor carries the whole shitty film

I was 14 once it's all good

who is the babe?

Perfectly legal in my country.

the intro is truly stunning

the rest of the film is as others have said a futile progression, symbolistic of the actual events it's opting to visually. emotionally represents. Pioneering, penetrating the hymen of the jungle mid16th century, was a bloody mess

The movie is an Interpretation not a biography like a legend skewed after too many retellings.

Absolute kino. Best Herzog film and best Klaus Kinski film. It's a miracle of a film.

low budget proto apocalypse now
wish herzog made real movies again instead of documentaries

Looks like a home movie shot in Wales

I'm glad I watched it, but be prepared for some really long stretches of just walking around the jungle. It's a movie where everyone is miserable, and you feel kind of miserable watching them feel miserable.

I didn't feel miserable watching it, just incredibly thankful that I was under warm blanket with a glass of wine rather than trudging through mud with those poor motherfuckers.

Kinskino

Absolutely Kino wonder

Kino as fuck.

Especially for the realism of set

Cecilia Rivera. The film scared her off acting forever though, so good luck finding anything about her.

My main issue was the sound, it was originally recorded in english but dubbed over with german and it just doesnt sound good. Also its not even Klaus Kinskis voice, they had some other guy dub over him.
