It's very hit and miss for me as well, mostly thanks to the often bad writing in these shorts. My favorite is The Witness.

Beyond the Aquila Rift was kind of corny but looks really amazing.

The blatant political gesturing in some of these is fucking lame desu, but I appreciate the sexy stuff, even when it's corny as fuck

Good hunting was nice like the other poster said. Neat mushishi/steampunk hybrid.

Zima blue was my favorite. Voluntary intelligence regression is one of my favorite tropes. The art was clean and the story kept my interest.

The first episode's fight was great. When khanivore gets gutted the eroticism of the blade, her reaction, and the satisfied grunts were a nice parallel for the sexual violence in the mc's past.

Aquila rift was a shitty gotcha and the rest are mediocre to forgettable.

Overall, mediocre series with a couple bright spots. Decent fodder for getting transhumanist concepts a bigger market share in the noosphere.

It feels like a failed screenwriter's scraps.

I liked all of them. Each had a unique story, or a great visual presentation, and they had some of the best modern Sci-fi writers involved.

A lot of the shorts feel derivative, but some of them have really neat concepts, but mediocre executions.

Quintessential zoomer television. Short so that their tiny attention spans can keep up without getting bored, and so that they can "binge" without having to think about it. Also small individual stories are perfect for the zoomer brain because they don't have to pay attention to character development or remember the small details.

What The Witness lacked in story made up in animation. However, I can't believe it's as they say that it's supposedly all animated, no rotoscoping, motion capture, or live actors in a 3DCG environment. The way the movement and clothes hangs on characters is too natural.

Well, they wanted to bring more Heavy Metal to the screen. In that respect, they did. Picked it up back in the day for the tits and sci-fi.

Agreed. While the animation is top notch the writing is shit tier.
I felt offended at the one with the farmers. It ripped off Matrix Revolutions so fucking much that it wasn't even funny.

This shit felt like a make-a-wish foundation got a professional high budget team to make some terminal bubble boy zoomer's dream flick before he dies.

i enjoyed a few while in the moment like the witness purely for its art style and suits was extremely derivative but very watchable in a predictable but corny comforting kind of way. that was it, the rest were forgettable at best

Man the rednceck mechs was great.
