i honestly dont know why the woman lied about being raped by a drunk santa when in fact mads had killed her entire family in front of her and sparing him at the end i dont know her reasoning behind it

What was not to understand? They were saved. The pilots had seem them after all and had just taken a circular route. It would have been more powerful without that ending though. But the movie was great manly survival kino nevertheless.

So why does Mads does not even flinch when the helicopter arrives? There must be a meaning for the ending being like this, or else they could just end it with a normal rescue scene

This movie was terrible. Why the fuck didn't save the tuna for the journey? Why did the woman stay asleep for days because of a gash in her stomach? Why didn't he spear the bear in the head?

And yes, the helicopter saves them in the end.

In my opinion the girl survided and Mads died, I have my theories why but I could be wrong, but I do think that the ending is supposed to tell us something , despite the fact normally it just looks they were both rescued fine.
