kino

This is the is the best anime has to offer, both the show and movie with Cowboy bebop being the only thing that comes close. That being said, it just shows how far anime is from being a respectable media. It peaked in the 90´s and early 2000´s and it was a drop from there unlike cinema which despite having shit pumped out every year, it also produces kinos every year unlike anime.
>inb4 you dont actually watch anime

>These are the only two anime I've seen, so they must be the best

There are good anime every year. If you disagree, you don't actually watch anime.

He's right though.

>He hasnt watched generic ecchi harem anime #20677 so he couldnt have watched any other ones

He's not.

This is a typical thing that would be said by someone who doesn't watch anime.

When did I say there wasnt any good animes every year?
I just said they they will never be at the same level the best of cinema has to offer

>cinema produces kinos every year
my fucking sides literally list them, the only film i enjoyed last year was ballad of buster scruggs, and that got a 'mixed reception' for being too difficult for audiences, cant remember anything i liked from the year before

It's also a single, relatively small industry in one country, but even then it has been successful in competing with live action films.

Anime is for manchildren

Manchildren don't exist.

>backpedaling from "EVA AND BEBOP ARE THE ONLY GOOD ANIME" to "well, it's not bad, films are just better"
Entry-level opinion from an entry-level user.

What is Yea Forums's opinion on this kino, that among other things inspired the mastermind Hideaki Anno?

It's funny but I want to ask, why do people regard Cowboy Bebop so highly?

To put things into my perspective, I have been watching anime since 2005 but it's just a few days since I started to watch Bebop (currently at ep19). And I can see that it's a pretty good show but for me it's lacking more character development (which is spare) and the episodic nature of the show doesn't do it for me either.

Most people who have seen anime have only seen a few, and Bebop is usually one of them since it ran on Toonami.

Devilman ripoff

It's really good if you take it for what it is. There is more character development in the latter portion of the series but even this is pretty sparse. Just enjoy the dumb humour, the really amazing, fluid action, the style dripping from every frame. At the end of the day it's about a group of strange outsiders coming together under unusual circumstances and trying to make the best of it. I just finished it for the first time last week and the more I think about it after the fact the better it is. I felt the same as you throughout the series, waiting for more character development but not really getting it.

Yeah, the animation, artstyle combined with the music (I don't even listen to blues) is top notch. Some episodes are forgettable but the crew of the Bebop has a good chemistry. Overall, a pretty comfy anime.

End of Eva is fucking kino. It's the (thematic) anime equivalent to BR 2049. This just like K, Shinji just wants to be interlinked.
