pregancy isn't an excuse to get fat, it can be hard to judge how much of the weight gain is excess versus your baby, but that excuse only works for 5 or 10lbs, not 60lbs.

Generally, no. A standard contract is just going to outline things like pay, when they need to be available for filming, pre-production, stuff like that. She could be replaced, but it looks like they just piled more costume on her and worked with it.

TV shows have dealt with shit like surprise pregnancies, and as long as they have time to change the plot or figure out how to cover it up, why go through the hassle of recasting a character who's been there so many seasons?
