Redeemed? The whole episode was based. Everyone feels like real people again.
I was actually shocked. I expected this episode to go even further into the depths of shit writing but somehow it was actually pretty great.
this
I hate the plebs that keep whining about muh action, after the ridiculously cartoonish last few seasons they are finally trying to bring it back on course
next episode will be non-stop fighting though
It was a nice moment but the episode was still all over the place, and a lot of the dialogue was terrible as always.
I just hate how everyone still goes along with whatever Bran is mumbling, when in reality probably only Sansa believes his claims because he gave her proof of his ability, to the rest of them he's literally a retard.
I believe the episode was nice
>a lot of the dialogue was terrible as always.
was it? tormund's tit milk monologue is the only memorably cringy moment for me
>I just hate how everyone still goes along with whatever Bran is mumbling
this desu
they have dragons and dead men, is a tree wizard such a stretch?
not him
I disliked the haha remember S1 xD scene when tyrion was repeating his joke
DON'T YOU
FORGET ABOUT ME
You've never made the same joke twice?
sure, but it's just lazy writing in a series
That was the worst one, but there were still bad ones scattered here and there.
A few examples:
Last scene when Jon and Dany are in the crypt talking about Lyanna:
D:"My brother Rheagar, everyone told me he was decent and kind, he liked to sing, gave money to poor children...and he raped her", the word choice is terrible for the setting and Dany's terrible delivery doesn't help at all.
Scene with the hound and Arya, empty dialogue that leads the story nor the characters nowhere, everything that was said was already known to the viewer(Arya changed and so did the hound changed)
Scene with Dany and Sansa, I don't remember what was said exactly but it was bad and the delivery as well.
I would say that it was definitely an improvement overall from episode 1.
Sad little ripoff
>Scene with Dany and Sansa, I don't remember what was said exactly but it was bad and the delivery as well.
Sansa believes in Nexit, while Jon Snow doesn't. The revelation of this rift in the family is pretty huge senpai.
The existence of one unorthodox thing doesn't necessarily trivalize another or make it easier to accept. Anyway, that's besides the point, the problem here is that no one questions the sincerity or authenticity of his statements, for all we know, most of the characters that were present in the reunion had never interacted with Bran before this point, let alone know about his story and adventure beyond the wall.
sam saying that "death is just forgetting"
FOR WHOMST THE BELLS TOLL: SAD LAST CONVERSATION EDITION

>sam saying that "death is just forgetting"
how about
>any scene with sam or where sam is even passingly or indirectly referenced
Why did Jon give Daenerys anxiety about Throne drama right before the battle? Won't she fall off her dragon and break her neck?
Does he want to lose?
>Won't she fall off her dragon and break her neck?
We can only hope
>quick lets get all the women and children into the crypts even though there are dead bodies in there and we know for a fact the walkers can raise the dead
What the fuck are the show writers doing. This isnt just some error, why the fuck would jon knowingly send people down there, if anything it would be off limits
It was clearly a filler episode mate.
Danny doubts him though, over John’s birthright
I mean that would solve the problem. They don't need her to win. Just her dragons.
Pretty sure all of those bodies are long decomposed. Everyone in the crypts will die, but I don't think it will be that.
Anyone else think Dany is on course to have a massive ego-check and sacrifice herself for Jon, because she knows she can’t be queen anymore?
Yes but only because now her claim for the throne is at play, she didn't care enough to investigate or question when he was talking about the night king and the dead even though their entire lives and kingdom is at risk, basically setting up their battle plan according to what he proposed with no question's asked. I guess you could argue that she trusts Jon, but even then you still have teh other characters.
It's fucking stupid but at the same time I kind of get it. The anticipation of these next few battles has been building for a long time. Even some of my less plebian friends were disappointed until they really thought about it. People are forgetting that development is still needed to make these moments as effective as they can be. They're just ready for blood as I think we all kind of are. Once the dust has settled down people will realize what this episode was supposed to be, but maybe I'm being optimistic there.
