No, the writers and director bailed on the franchise, and she saw it first hand in the sequel which was horrendous compared to the first. The director was in way over his head and it showed. It was a wise career move to avoid be forever linked to schlock like The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor and Scorpion King.
