that translator lol

i feel bad for sally but also feel terrible for barry for having to deal w that shit rn

classy Sam

Don't do it Sally

this show is criminally underloved on here

>murder cockblocked
feels bad man

It's kinda shit

I really like it, I've enjoyed it for both seasons

>sally going up to his room
NO FOOL

I really like this show except for the overly cheap Afghanistan scenes.

wtf the tittle screen remind me of mr.robot

BASED BARRY KILLING MUDSLIMES

one less goatfucker

Oh no

henry winkler is so good

how's barry gonna get away THIS time??

OH FUCKING KEK LOACH

We /VEEP/ here?

VEEP is shit personified

So is this a comedy? Never seent

Amazing ending.

I wanna choke Sarah, with my dick

They keep know kinda played with that, so it doesn't seem weird when you realize all Afghanistan scenes are shot in LA

I like this show and find it funny but what is with the fucking Henry WInkler's son sub plot? Is that shit really gonna go somewhere? The son isn't even a hitman or anything

Holy shit that ending, Barry is just fed up with everyone's shit at this point. Bet the new girl cop is gonna be the true one to get Barry eventually

Sally sorry

Why the fuck does GoT and Veep cut into Barry's time for? Barry's the VIP on HBO now.

Redpill me on this show. I am a fan of Bill hader's but I can't stomach sitting weekly around an hour to watch tv anymore.

Attached: 1531362191982.png (264x217, 147K)

It's a comedy with ongoing plot

At least we know for sure Sam is a POS now. Sally did make the ending up he's still an asshole who should die.

It's basically Dexter but without the crazy serial killer plot there's a crazy hitman plot instead. Way better compared to later Dexter seasons and it's pretty funny.

I am so sick of this bitch

Kino show and a kino ending desu

dark humor?

Love that idea actually. Both Moss and Loach were pretty shitty homicide detectives going by early season one episodes. They just got into the thick of shit.

Its 30 mins for one, and two its basically Breaking Bad mixed with more comedy and thrills. Plus NoHo Hank is a godsend to the show

She feels like the cop from Fargo, gonna be way in over her head but a call for normality

She is the reason I don't watch this show

Loved episode 3, cant wait for this one.
Stupid silly falling for that douche bag

>Its 30 mins for one,
That sounds nice

Makes the plot not feel rushed too especially with a half an hr, so if thats not a sign to watch idk what is. Alec Berg knows his shit

Isn't she the cop from Fargo though? Or am I misremembering the first season?

veep went to shit real fast, I ended up watching the show just for Julia Louis-Dreyfus

all the tight dresses she's in is a real plus

yep, I see another man of taste as well. The show is so unfunny.

i hit it when that shit was tight

What's even worse is that the subtitles refer to the Marines as "Soldiers" and their flak jackets clearly have no SAPIs and are as flat as Brie Larsons ass

Don't believe for a fucking second there was proper military advising

Bumping to say this ep was pretty fucking good. The amping of tension in the show this season has been ridiculous. The way they're pacing out the story I don't think the show would stay fresh past like 3 seasons, but the premise is getting stretched in some interesting directions

I agree and I don't see how it could really go after 3 or 4 seasons, but man.

I watch GOT with a couple of the same friends every week but then rush home to watch this by myself. It's honestly so much better.

For me it's

Barry
Veep
What We Do in the Shadows
Killing Eve

What currently airing shows are you guys watching?

At this point I'm basically in it completely for the drama, and the comedy is just a nice way to break up the flow every once in a while. The scene in the first ep of this season when Hank gets really threatening and real with Barry was one of the best scenes I've seen on TV in a while.

HOLY SHITBALLS I JUST FINISHED THE EPISODE AND THAT ENDING WAS FUCKING 10/10

You sound like a lesbian

This show is weirdly entertaining but it’s tonally all over the fucking place. I get that it’s trying to be a dark comedy and a drama at the same time but like... Barry and Fuques (sp?) seem to flip flop from scoundrel murderers to mildly honourable every other episode and it’s jarring as hell.

So you aren't watching anything?

This episode was incredible

Other than Barry I'm trying to finish Quarry and Black Monday and Hanna.

>Quarry

I can’t believe someone other than me has watched this show. Enjoy the kino ending user.

honestly one of the best episodes of the series

this show surprised me and showed me bill hader is a great actor. he was amazing in the scene with winkler tonight

Amazing writer too

So much happened and yet this was also one of the funnier episodes.
>the cop's inability to write

That was a great bit

So, why does the detective not care about Moss at all?

From last season we see how the detective life has gone to shit. We found out wife made him buy a freaking quinceanera store and still bail on him with another dude. He is done with this shit and while we are all here thinking he is doing everything for Moss, he tell Barry what he is going to do. We now look at all this season and now see why he wanted to go alone on this case. It's personal for sure, but not the way we were all thinking.

I called this in threads after the first episode of the season, but was pretty surprised how quickly he hit Barry with the idea.

Reddit called it too

I do the exact same thing. When GOT is shit I have Barry to look forward to and I always enjoy it more.
I actually don't feel like the show is tonally inconsistent. It does a very good job at balancing the drama, tension and comedy. Also, being that it's about a theater student who is a hitman by night the tone shifts feel in line with the character.

where's my /hankgang/ at?

Attached: noho.jpg (650x359, 190K)

Hank is awesome. Fuck Sally.

Yeah her weird jew face disturbs me.

Attached: barry-hbo-sarah-goldberg.jpg (780x520, 75K)

I really appreciate it's tone. It's funny, it's a comedy, but even though it's about a murderer and there are deaths and stuff, it doesn't really make it into a spectacle or really make fun of deaths. It's kinda serious, but it's not overreaching, it's not broody and grim. It's self-aware and unaware at the same time.
I don't know. It's realistic? It draws the comedy out of people just being dumb fucks and doing terrible shit? like fuches being an epitome of boomer and being involved in crime on top of that

>it's ok when writers make a character this way

Yeah the second I saw her I knew she was a kike. Her face is scary. Even my friend who doesn't know about Jews said her face was creepy.

Barry
Billions
Veep
What we do in the shadows
Doom Patrol
Game of thrones
American gods

Don't bother with Black Monday, fren. The ending that has been hyped up since the opening scene is totally anti climactic and doesn't give it a good closure.

only one guy on Reddit called it, and his comment was buried among the other theories

When I watched the first episode, I was like
>huh, she's supposed to be the sexy love interest that will help Barry be a nice guy?
She was never a good character in my opinion and now it's confirmed.

shes a great character. she's a stupid floozie
barrys an idiot too though hes tricking himself

The ending of season 1 had me wondering if it was one of Barry's dreamlike sequences until it turned to shit during the dinner.
She changed her mind about so much in so few episodes that I half-expected that she was capable of being seduced back by Sam by the end of the episode.

Also what's a floozie? Non native English speaker here, and I never heard this one.

get google chrome and the google dictionary extension you can double click any word you don't know and it will give you a definition

its a woman who has a lot of sex with different men, shes a bar slut not a bad thing but pretty stereotypical

This episode was my favorite anything in television since Nathan For You season finale. What a fucking show, man. All those moments coming around in such a tight manner. Can't wait for the rest of them.

Next week Barry isn't on until 10:25pm

yea

He spelled it out, this season is all about the characters confronting the image they have of themselves and trying to change their nature. Sally reliving the situation with the ex and having the opportunity to overcome her fear and standup for herself, Barry with all his hitman shit, Cousineau trying to make up for years of vanity and putting his career above his son. Even Fuches found some long lost compassion tonight.

It's got Stephen Root, that should be enough for you

The only saving grace of Quarry was the ending made it essentially a mini-series. I tried to get anons to watch it while it was on but got called a shill for cinemax/ The creator has a new show called Warrior which has been good

Yeah, I don't want Barry to cave in and do it, but I'm really hoping that guy dies till the end of the season.

Barry will get movie or tv gigs. Sally will continue to flounder, Gene will leech off of Barry, Hank will be a boss,

>Next week Barry isn't on until 10:25pm
I pirate it anyway. I bet it will be online before that.

>Barry will get movie or tv gigs
I don't think you get the point that Barry is actually a shitty actor.

> Looking good son

It's fine if you are doing a binge watch of it though.

How is S2 compared to S1 so far?

Yeah I don't understand the trepidation when you bring up Cinemax. Quarry and The Knick were great.

So is everyone in that class. He will have something that gets him noticed. He can't spend the whole show in an acting class.

I'd say on par with the first. This episode was great and made things even more interesting.

Banshee and Strike Back are great too. They have fared better at putting out good shows more than HBO has lately.

>How is S2 compared to S1 so far?
It's a significant improvement over S1. No question. I gave S1 a 7 and right now, it's at least an 8.5. Might hit 9 if they keep this up.

>He can't spend the whole show in an acting class.
I'd say almost all of the show will be in that acting class. It's only 8 episodes per season, 30 min each. The final season MIGHT have him do something else.

>WHAT???

Attached: 1383791776776.gif (270x270, 2.43M)

You just KNOW some guy in the audience of their play is going to come by unexpected, he will be somewhat important to the industry, and whatever Barry decides to play as his "turning point" will have a great impact by its own merits, and the fact that Barry will be emotionally invested (and probably amped up by whatever just happened before the show) and deliver a great truth, that will be perceived as great acting by whoever watches, since it's the only way Barry really shines.

It was truly a Barrypilled episode about the treacherous nature of women.

i want to tie her down, fuck her in her tight ass and shove my dick in her mouth

S2 > S1

every single episode has crazy shit going on in it
all the twists they're throwing make sense and flow with the story

it's excellent writing, i'm surprised they managed to make this better than season 1

Attached: 1555656810210.jpg (810x607, 78K)

Sally is a lying bitch. I'm not sure Sam even hit her.

Nah bruh, she was beaten for sure, just her ending story is fantasized.
Her friend acknowledged the abuse, and Sam clearly showed his violent tendency in the hotel room.
It might not be to the same violence as she told, but it definitely happened.

I dunno. Sam didn't even hit that ugly bitch.

t. incel

This show is so goddamn BASED, how do they do it?

who gives a fuck.

it was pretty clear he didn't have support from the other police and was doing all of this solo

she made up the "choke on this" line about standing up to him but thats it. did you even watch the show or do you just make up shit because you hate women?

>trusting Sally
>being a feminist

will watch all at once when its over.

great show, love the raw action scenes. it doesnt make more success because the actor looks weird. it is what it is.

>it doesnt make more success because the actor looks weird
uh, that's not the reason

When the Jew bitch gets confronted with her lies.

Attached: mpv-shot0001.png (1920x1080, 1.92M)

kinda is. i like him, he maybe was the last fun guy that come from SNL, but its hard to buy him as an assassin - not me, but the general audience.

and it makes sense the fact that he dosnt look like one.

anyway, another reason is the promo. the promo wasnt catchy enough, i just statred to watch the show because the praise of the guys around here.

>What currently airing shows are you guys watching?
Barry
GOT
Warrior
B99
Gonna watch the netflix show Lunatics and see whats up

That's it really just rewatching some anime because there is nothing else currently on TV desu senpai

>its hard to buy him as an assassin
the show just says he's a hitman from the midwest

he's supposed to be some mid level hitman not the best of the best it was a part of the comedy and intro for him in season 1

sally almost makes this shit unwatchable couldnt they have made a less annoying character

she's supposed to be unlikable

no shit retard it still doesnt take away from the fact that every scene she is in is a pain to watch

This is why I only watch big titty animes so I can enjoy my happy happy cummies.

get a job

wow the only main character who isn't an assassin, crime lord, CIA style handler, corrupt cop or scene chewing flamboyant old actor is unlikable.

u are really a stupid faggot

You can't deny she's the most unlikable person on the show.

yes i can

the most unlikeable character is the alopecia guy but you guys naturally love him probably because he acts like a bald gay nazi

I just watched the first episode of Warrior. I haven't seen anyone posting about it here. It's pretty good so far. Chinese immigrants in the West is a pretty good idea.

>the most unlikeable character is the alopecia guy
you are basically retarded. everybody loves him. even reddit loves him.

Why is Noho Frank the best part of the show?

Season 1 was a lot funnier, though.

Attached: He killed my brother.png (2560x1440, 2.43M)

That wasn't even a funny scene.

Nah different lady, but I originally meant the movie but season 1 also works as a comparison too

lies

>veep went to shit real fast,
the last few seasons have been amazing
it got better

season 1 was more of a comedy

this season is kind of tonally equivalent to Atlanta
few of the best episodes directed by Hiro Murai who directed the best Atlanta too.

Wrong

this show is good right? RIGHT?!

you women laugh at everything

>Barry
>Veep
>What We Do in the Shadows

ma nigga

this + recently Pen15 which was REALLY good and High Maintenance the last season which just ended was the best yet

Dororo
My Brilliant Friend (amazing)

To clarify, are you so autistic you think it wasn't intended as a humorous scene, or are you just a contrarian who thinks it wasn't funny?

asian directing the best episodes of a black tv show. lol

and the pilot was directed by barry itself and its very well done, he is a consistent director. i really enjoy the action scenes on it, pretty realistic and gritty, its a great contrast with the comedy - that is more incidental.

also Documentary Now! (also bill hader)

Murai directed the two eps last season with the shootout in the stash house and the air-strip stuff
when the show went from funny comedy and semi decent drama to actual kino with real stakes

He also did the first two eps this season which both had some real kino directorial flourishes the kind of thing you just don't see in ordinary half hour tv comedies.

>asian directing the best episodes of a black tv show. lol
why is that funny?

This show is great, just discovered it last week thanks to Yea Forums. You guys are aight sometimes.

i also highly recommend succession & my brilliant friend & sally4ever & high maintenance

the other best recent HBO kino

criminally underappreciated here

it wasn't funny. It was a tryhard joke.

niggers can't direct their own shows as well as other races.

how do you guys even remember a joke from season one ?

Attached: 9dbb53b1b6c26d2d76823026f799d9d2--peculiar-children--mm.jpg (348x475, 20K)

>it wasn't funny
Wrong
>It was a tryhard joke
What does that even mean? You don't like when things are trying to be funny? It has to accidentally be funny?

why is that funny?

yeah, i was just giving hader also some credit. the last episodes of the first season are very breaking bad like on the photography and other aesthetical choices.

because the press make it look like every piece of atlanta come from the brilliant mind of childish bambino itself - wich proves chevy vhase right: people find him better just for being black, very sad and patronizing.

Because they were funny?
I still quote Noho Frank

Her Jew face makes my dick disturb my pants.

>people find him better just for being black, very sad and patronizing.

Atlanta is literally THE best show at the moment
If you like Barry but you don't like Atlanta, you are racist, it's that simple. They are extremely similar.

I don't like his music and I don't think he's a great actor, but feigning concern over patronizing racism in overrating him and simultaneously underrating him because you're racist is pathetic.

Different user but I marathoned the entire series this past week

And I think it is fair to give donglover a lot of credit for Atlanta, it's his fucking show.

What did Bill Hader mean by this?

collider.com/barry-season-2-episode-4-interview-bill-hader/

Attached: Screenshot_2019-04-22 Exclusive Bill Hader on ‘Barry’ Season 2 Episode 4 and Ensuring Sally' (593x245, 34K)

i am a little bit of a racist, so... yeah.

i mean, i dont hate the show for no reason, i just find overhyped and the life of a bunch of blacks doesnt appeal to me.

and were here talking about how barry is underrated and atlanta is the opposite. guess why? chevy chase knows and i do too.

I don't really care to watch niggers. When I see a show or movie about niggers, that's basically a no for me. I ignore it.

Did he say anything wrong here?

>The ending of season 1 had me wondering if it was one of Barry's dreamlike sequences until it turned to shit during the dinner

Precisely the intention, according to the behind the scenes stuff for that episode

yeah. and its fine, its just prefer one thing over other. some black sitcom from ba k in the day are fine.

its how hard social media and wevsites try to hype it up those things that annoys me.

its like jordan peele: at best, he is a pedestrian director, who does movies for a specific audience. fine. but the media tries to sell him like a fucking genius. he is not. GET OUT being at the top 10 list of all time on RT is fucking clown world. cmon.

>i am a little bit of a racist, so... yeah.
no shit cunt
>and were here talking about how barry is underrated and atlanta is the opposite. guess why? chevy chase knows and i do too.
both shows are highly critically regarded you retard, they even draw similiar audience numbers, barry gets talked about more here and i really don't know what the fuck you're even talking about. Atlanta just gets more exposure because donglover gets more exposure, but it hardly inclines more people to watch it simply because most people don't appreciate kino.

And here you are supposedly appreciating Bill Hader's talent. Have you been watching Documentary Now! ?

You're right about Jordan Peele. You're wrong about Atlanta.
You and the media are equally moronic and solely judge something based on black involvement. Two sides of the same retard coin.

You like Barry a lot right? Why the fuck do you think they got Hiro Murai to direct for them? Atlanta was his first tv gig. They clearly wanted to emulate Atlanta.

he directs the show too, honestly he's a huge fucking talent. It really shows that he was involved in production for almost a decade before doing any acting

i thought he had miscast himself like it was a really cool idea but i'd just never buy that this guy i know as like a goofy dork is also this ruthless pro killer but i believe it now

it's very clear what he meant; they're just 2 white dudes, so they don't know what the mental state of a woman experiencing domestic abuse is like. So they asked women in their lives who had that experience if what they'd written was accurate

when hank isn't on screen, everyone should be asking "wheres hank?"

i know i am

heres the thing: i watch the episode with the former black dude who becomes white and shit. disturbing, fine, but that nigger buying a red hat and writing some things to make a woke statement annoy the shit out of me because i dont like these kind of smug assholes.

that said: i cannot get hiw a show about an assassin trying to be an actor and another person, really, is similar to atlanta, that... honestly i dont even know about. some rappers?

the fucking poster with them with a peach or an apple ob their mouths didnt offer me a clear message.

>barry giving that chechen tinnitus
kinda rude desu

>In my country the tv rights for Barry are in some piterallywho streaming service exclusive to a phone carrier
Fucking hell.
>Whatwedo
How does it compare to the movie?

It's a similar style of show: black comedy, violent but doesnt stop to stare at the violence, its just a part of the reality of the characters' lives, like in Barry.

>How does it compare to the movie?
Feels very similar. No big surprises, but definitely worth watching.

>posts on Yea Forums
>literally doesn't pirate tv shows

i wonder how many of you there are ?
are you a boomer, or just don't care about watching good stuff?

Why is he called "NoHo" Frank, did I miss it first season?

It's Hank, not Frank

But NoHo is short for North Hollywood

It's just what he introduces himself to barry as in their first meeting, because he lives in North Hollywood (hank is an idiot)

Why is everyone blowing their loads over this show? It's entertaining but I wouldn't say it's anything more than a 6/10. Yet I see people talking about how this is amazing etc.

What does being white have to do with it?

understood. but barry seems to be more action driven when it comes to the violence, i imagine that atlanta is more of a daily violence on black neighbourhoods - and im sure the show will manage to convince thats white fault.

anyway, i also cannot buy the nerd from community becoming le woke black.

there is this thing of turning him into a subversive guy and at the same time he does a fucking disney movie, its all ao fake in a time were a baffoon like alex jones gets shut down all over social media plataforms.

i just cannot ignore all these elements, sounds fake, a fabrication.

white dudes are the most likely to be away from violence in our current society, especially if they have any money (which these do)

It's like 8/10 at least.
Certainly a lot better than anything else on right now

The ending was amazing

you sound paranoid dude

Fair enough. I wish Whites would just stop living with other races so we don't have to deal with their violence at all. One can dream.

I feel bad for Barry and you should probably feel bad about your life too.

Anyone else skip all the boring acting shit except when fonzy is around?
