Afterall, this is probably the last "quiet" episode we get. Great buildup to the battle, touching scenes, Jaime's redemption comes to it's climax as he knights Brienne. If you have a soul, you would have been moved by that scene. I don't credit D&D for this, however, Bryan Cogman wrote the episode, he gets credit for decent writing this time.

I liked that the whole episode was set on Winterfell but hated how none of it felt recognisable or memorable, especially considering that's probably the last we'll see of it. Some encounters we were waiting for a long time didn't packed the same weight we anticipated, like Jamie and Tyrion, Arya and the Hound and so on. I guess I just expected the episode to be something better.

It's insane to think they wasted a second episode on absolutely nothing in the last season of the show which is going to be composed of only 6 episodes and there are still so many loose ends.

Unless if the White Walkers get defeated in the next episode and the remaining 3 are all set on fighting Cersei and what not, I don't really see how they will manage to make something satisfying out of this.
