More like COPE-I

fpbp, OP forever blown the FUCK out

Had more soul when it was called XBMC.

I only use it for creating my own TV channels with PseudoTV Live. It's like I have a cable package where all the channels are playing my favorite shows and movies all day long.

How old is your Kodi? I haven't been able to get PseudoTV to work for the past 2-3 versions cause the author just disappeared.

>literal nothing but shit tier yify tips

Cringe

Kodi it whatever the latest version was 6 months ago... that's when I last updated. I've learned that when you get things working, disable all updates.

boomer software

So what is this a roku for people without hdmi cables?

Yeah I don't get it either, like just connect your shit to the tv nigga

It's the Linux of streaming platforms. Ultimately useless out of the box but with some time and effort it has the potential to outclass Roku/Plex/whatever else out there.

Its much more than that. Its like a remote friendly menu to control all your media or trivially pirate shit.

-PLEX

It doesnt compete with plex. Plex is for transcoding media. If you want you can put a plex app in kodi.

Why use Kodi at all?
Plex is available on more devices, and has better metadata collection.

I always had problems with streaming shit with that. There are a few crappy pirate places that throw shit on Mega that I use since I can just download crap instantly and watch it instead. Streaming's nice but I almost always had to try like 20 fucking links before I'd get one that worked and it pissed me off.

Why do pajeets do this

whats the difference, thought both shit just pulled media from your pc

>hes not in the scene
why are you even here

Kodi doesnt transcode

Plex can let you share content at different qualities on a variety of internet connections. Kodi doesnt transcide video so it cant do that.
Plex also has a vr theater experience.

Morph TV is better

Kodi supports more codecs on all devices where as Plex will need to transcode depending on the device.
If you're running Plex on a weak server that can't transcode and your device is a box with shit codec coverage then you'll get playback problems that you won't get on Kodi streaming over the network.

Plex is obviously preferred if you have a good enough server.
Basically anything with an Intel Atom or better can transcode decent.

Whats that?

Originally software to stream media from your NAS or PC to your TV
Mostly used as a pirate Netflix alternative using public streaming servers these days though

most of kodi is just the same links you can get from googling watchseries 'title' s01e01 and it takes forever to find a working one

But those sites have disgusting porn adds

>tfw use roku and kodi

Master Race

Most people have this shit on their Amazon Fire sticks though.
