A BLACK MAN IN EARTH REALM? I DON'T THINK SO.

>the fate of billions will depend on you, hahaha... sorry.

Why was Raiden so based?

>HE WENT TO OUTWORLD. WHERE I CANNOT FOLLOW
He's a literal god, why would it matter where he is?

Raidens powers don't work in outworld

But why?

The elder gods do not allow it

its better that they cast James over Chistopher for Annihilation, because seeing Lambert Raiden get punked like Remars would have sucked

Still the only video game adaptation I don't have a problem with. It's kino

>Having a problem with any video game adaptation
Video games don't even have good stories, who gives a fuck if the adaptation isn't accurate?

Because even the games that do have stories end up getting shit on because the director's ego absolutely requires them to pen their own script, which is always terrible.

If only more people took the basic lore of the video game and made a unique interesting story that doesn't require actual player input/interaction. Of course, that would require some level of talent few actually employed in the industry even conceive of. Pic related, the movie industry.

why was the second movie such a trainwreck?

The cycle of shitposting never ends.

Video game are 99% just recycled stories from movies or books. Mass Effect is just Babylon 5 mixed with Battlestar Galactica, Fallout is just A Boy and His Dog mixed with retrofuturism like Jetta by Dan DeCarlo. Also you still didn't name a game with a good story, hmm

By your logic, anything ever put to screen could simply be considered a copy of something previously written. Even then, a considerable amount of literature could simply be boiled down to a copy of a previously written story.

Very true, but I think the key is making something that seems new of out something old. The problem with video games is that they don't do a good job of this.

Now don't get me wrong I love video games, but the reason the stories work is because it is interactive, and when you take out the interactive element you are left with a boring, cliche story. To be honest, great stories aren't really well-suited for a medium like video games, and that's fine.

that's true but films can get a good story out of those writings and use the medium to tell it differently.

>The Highlander is Raiden because he's an immortal (god) who has lightning powers (the quickening)

Oh shit.

Yeah, that's true. Any story telling medium outside literature is inevitably going to have restrictions. Although I wouldn't necessarily say a story isn't great just because it has to function within the limited confines of user input.

AND BESSIE WITH THE GREAT BIG TITS

>gets cameo in Shazam!
>Lambert plays raiden in a french MK11 ad
>Raiden doesnt blunder in MK11

Raiden is easy the best character
