What ACTUALLY happened to Haemi...

what ACTUALLY happened to Haemi? Anyone have any theories regarding this film or noticed something other people probably didn't?

Was it not made clear that she had to resort to prostitution?

I can't remember

I guess it's fun for to wonder what the truth was but the film goes out of it's way to say that you'll never actually know because of how unreliable everyone's stories are, and the more important thing is how Jae-soo (over)reacts to the circumstancial evidence

moral of the story is that he was a cuck. all the rest is inconsequential.

>BUT BUT WHAT HAPPENED???
Missing the point of the movie there pal

the symbolism of having the girl you love disappear without explanation in that context is far more rewarding than whatever the actual answer isi

Ayo why was this nigga jerking it to that tower?

Also she had some A+ tits

When I went to see this kino the cinema was literally filled with boomers and their wives, them sitting through the sex scenes was kekworthy.

My gf said she was flat

The guy says he likes burning down glasshouses that no one will miss.

>burning

Like a girl with no friends or family... No one would miss her.

>rich guy is a serial killer/human trafficker
>girl is dead/sold as sex slaves

Your gf got mad as fuck and went full roastie mode

the tower represents rising in society, mass media, popularity, and material wealth

he jerked because he's a poor country boy who will never actually make it there, but is unsatisfied enough with his life that he'll try anyway

the scene with the lawyer where he says he's writing a novel comes to mind, the lawyer knows he won't make it but it's beneficial to the upper class for the lower class to believe that upward mobility is possible

she was murdered by the guy who all but admitted it

Almost everything of what you saw in the movie was in Jong-soo head.
Watch it again: the pantomime stuff at the beginning, the fact than Jong-soo says that he see himself in Faulkner's work and then catches Ben reading one of his books, the misterious circumstances of the mother phone call, the fact that Haemi wishes multiple times to dissappear like she ''never existed'' and lots of other small details confirm the fact that Jong-soo is living some kind of fantasy and writing about it in his book (since he's an aspiring writer).

The fect that this movie perfectly works as a meaningful linear story but at the same time hiding so much stuff is fucking incredible.

any rips?

>rich guy is a +30 year old virgin
>uses his wizard powers to convert the girl into a cat

Ben is actually the good guy, he helps girls reinvent themselves, and keeps things as souvenirs, and moves on to the next girl when he's done. Ben helped her from the start, Haemi lied about many things, to see if she could do it convincingly. Once she could, she completely moved on.

I don't think any of it was in his head, it was mostly everything was either ambiguous like the watch or concerning like the cat and pretty much everything ben said, that's why there's so much double imagery?(don't know the English word) like anything with windows

this guy gets it
Burning presents itself in a very understated way, but mark my words its going to go down as a masterpiece of the early 21st century

Are there any other movies like Burning?

No

Surely there are at least some films out there with the same feel/vibe

the director has other highly regarded films, check those out

My gf has better tits tho
