That stupid Jonah Hill 90's movie

Other than that, you're right

I don't know what you are referring to. That dude didn't start acting until the early 2000's as far as I know. I might be stupid though.

Thanks fren, haven't seen it.

he def colors his hair and his best album was also his first and the result of tori amos breaking up with him and heroin. congrats for staying alive but meh. clint mansell is superior

>his best album was also his first and the result of tori amos breaking up with him and heroin
TDS was his 2nd (3rd if you count broken)

TDS>>>>>>>>>>>>pretty hate machine

Meant to reply to

What was wrong with Mid90s? The score was fine.

Also I was at a NIN gig three or four months ago and picked up the Vietnam War documentary score on vinyl. He's selling it at the merch booth now

Niggas like you need to wake up and realize The Fragile is his best work. TDS is only really good cause of Hurt and PHM is just decent, angry sythpop.

The actual movie wasn't

I like his scores and Ghosts but his lyrics make me cringe 95% of the time

Oh shit a Yea Forums thread on Yea Forums?!?!
TDS>PHM>Fragile>Broken>Bad Witch+EPs>Ghosts>Hesitation Marks>The Slip>Year Zero>With Teeth
Hard to rate his soundtracks since they're largely made up of already released material

PHM was really great for what it was but yeah TDS, Broken, and The Fragile (and their remix albums) were all amazing, timeless albums

>The Fragile is his best work
I've often said so

This is correct

Good thing too cause I got banned off there for making a thread asking "Why is Yea Forums so mentally ill?". You haven't checked out Still which you really should. It's probably his best 2000's album.

>lyrics make me cringe
that's part of the charm

Hurt isn't even the best song on the album you mong
Ruiner>Reptile>Mr Self Destruct>Heresy>Hurt

I have heard it but have a hard time ranking it since it's so different from the rest of his discography and I think technically not an album (or even an EP?)

I don't know, call me a normie but I think Hurt really rounds the album nicely as it's closer. Don't think it'd be as good without it. Mr. Self Destruct and Heresy are both really good too though.

Becoming>Closer>Reptile>Heresy

Once I started really getting into synthesizers and Universal Audio plug-ins I realized that what he does is not very difficult to do compared to flamenco guitar. It was very difficult to pull his stuff off back in ‘88 so I respect him a lot for that, and Bowie became his best friend so he must be unbelievably based, but it’s always the same old dark spiky atmosphere sounds with him.

Those top 3 are based, but you left out The Becoming for #4

why are all of the nine inch nails albums a few good tracks and the rest trash/filler?

He did the score for Bird Box lol

because you're a pleb

According to rym it is so take it for what it is. I'd say it is even if it has some older, redone tracks. It was released with And All That Could Have Been and I hear that's fantastic, but I don't really listen to live albums.

Fuck I forgot The Becoming
I was lucky and got the whole album live in Los Angeles for the Wave Goodbye tour and it was kino

Also got the Broken EP in full in Phoenix

isn't that how all albums are?

Can't argue with you there user. I don't really care for NiN in general but I'll listen to his movie scores no problem.

You must fucking hate The Fragile then.

I mean a majority of them are yeah but TDS and PHM are nonstop hits (aside from the ambient stuff on TDS of course)

I got promised a press pass to see the Wave Goodbye show in Chicago and found out at the last minute I wasn't actually getting it
Not ashamed to admit I cried that night

no
i listen to most albums i own from start to finish but not the nine inch nails ones

>watching THX1138
>get to the hologram scene
>so much suddenly makes sense

Fuck dude that was a good show too. Best performance of Dead Souls ever. Goddamn, sorry to hear that.

Best []\[] [] []/[] Yea Forums track?
The Perfect Drug (Lost Highway)
Deep (Tomb Raider)
Burn (Natural Born Killers)
Closer [Precursor] (Seven)
Dead Souls (The Crow)
VOTE!

Dead Souls by far.

Burn fucking shreds, even if it has columbine-tier lyrics

You forgot Rick and Morty using Hurt

But what about Just Like You Imagined (300)

>beta white male manlet
>married to an asian girl

everytime.

I've met Mariqueen during the HTDA and she's a fucking 11/10 and Trent is an honorary chad even though he's a manlet
eat shit /pol/tard

t. bites the hand that feeds

oops
never saw 300
also I think "Unbreakable" had a cut from the fragile era

For me? It's the Quake menu theme

The Wretched is in my blood

The Wretched (version) from TFA is amazing
one of the best songs ever produced

The Wretched was in the Force Awakens?

And it was kino

if it had been, it might've been worth watching

You're missing out. That set and On the Banks of the Wishkah are delightful

I'll check it out for sure then.

for me it's the perfect drug
best video too

The second one I mentioned is a Nirvana album, it's just a good live album since you said you don't usually listen to them.

THERE IS NO FEED THERE IS ONLY SEED

Aw you tried sweety

What musician would you want to see do a score? For me it'd be Aphex.

awright you fags I'm drunk and stuck at work and I want to talk to talk nine inch nails and Yea Forums sucks donkey dick
fav album
fav song
post em list em whatever lets do it

It's almost 4:00 am on the East Coast so I'll be the only person who responds.
>Fav album
Toss up between The Fragile and Still, if you count it
>Fav song
Call me a basic bitch but probably Hurt

thank you for the reply
album for me is probably fragile but Broken is so close
fav song is probably Physical (You're so)

Broken's a good pick. I don't even listen to Metal and still enjoyed it. Physical is a good pick for favorite song as well.

>congrats for staying alive but meh
cruel lmao

Peter Murphy's version of Reptile kicks ass: youtu.be/gvClJOA5lqA

>I don't even listen to Metal and still enjoyed it
same here
it makes sense in the context of his battle with TVT
also it just fucking rocks man

One last overnight bump. Hopefully there'll be a couple of more replies when I wake up.

uhhh...
best remix lp?
