Last year was a great year for movies. Not that you could tell if you only ever watch capeshit and the complain about it.

With what's going on with Star Wars and Star Trek, I've gone back and re-watched UC Gundam, and realized it's everything I wanted in a Sci-fi world, but without the real world political BS.

It's just a great universe, with a lot of good entries and characters that span across them. Top that off with evolving current entries and an well established extended universe with 1000's of wiki pages to browse through and it's a great alternative to the shit going on with western Sci-fi stuff.

It kind of floors me that other people on here haven't jump on it. I guess it cause it's animu. But having spent a year in Japan, I can safety say there are plenty of Gundam fans that don't watch any other anime. It's like it's own thing removed from the usual anime bs.
