AZOR JAIME
first for stannis is never ever
Could the cripple satisfy the Frogfu?
new leak
She wanted Bran's crippled Stark dick but he no way fag'd her badly
game of shit
other leaks said gendry and davos were leaving in wagons. now it's ships. there are no ships anywhere near winterfell
why the rest is blurred?
Jaime is spelled wrong in the blurred bit, at least get the names right.
it's not the least believable thing ive ever heard. Though the Jon and NK making a pact sounds like BS
How did you get that?
Oy Vey someone won't be happy
What do these threads even talk about honestly? This is my first time in one and I think it is just shit posting? Am I wrong? I just caught up with the show.
Also, what was the reaction here during the season 6 finale when the cult blew up? Was one of the few times in the show I was actually excited.
Beautiful, and willful, and dead before her time.
So you can't figure out that it's fake
That's a yikes from me dog
Why is Dany specifically pissed at Jaime for murdering her crazy dad, of all things?
Why is Cersei so smug about being safe from the aftermath of Winterfell's battle? Does she actually think 20k good men of questionable loyalty will be enough to protect KL?
Why are Sansa and Arya still hung up on protecting muh family even though everyone may die very soon?
The reasonings of the characters in this show make no sense
They should show fear, desperation, hopelessness, but they don't, it's like they're not even characters of their own story
How exactly are they going to convince people in westeros that Jon is actually Aegon Targaryen?, child of Lyanna Stark and Rehgar Targaryen?
How the fuck will they react? How will the north react? What about kellyc? She'll go Mad queen considering that she no longer has a claim right?
>What do these threads even talk about honestly?
Complaining and shitposting
>what was the reaction here during the season 6 finale when the cult blew up?
Complaining and shitposting
Was this the thought process of GRRM when he came up with young griff? Or when DnD reworked Dany's and Jon's characters? Or both?
Just turn your brain off and enjoy the show
>Why is Dany pissed?
I'm honestly beliving it's a red herring or just a really bad attempt by DnD to do a moral switcheroo to get the broader audience to hate dany more.
Daenerys motivations are the most contradictual and nonsensical
>You have no right to judge me based on my father's crimes!
>The iron thrones is mine! By blood right!
>Why is Dany specifically pissed at Jaime for murdering her crazy dad, of all things?
Even the people that hated Aerys are pissed about that
>Why is Cersei so smug about being safe from the aftermath of Winterfell's battle? Does she actually think 20k good men of questionable loyalty will be enough to protect KL?
She is retarded
>Why are Sansa and Arya still hung up on protecting muh family even though everyone may die very soon?
Sansa is power hungry and Arya is jealous of Jon's dragon slut waifu
both. This is how TV Rhaegar and Book Gerold were conceived
He is going to be baptized in fire as a call back to Daenarys burning the witch in front of witnesses including Daenarys
Also i'm guessing, what Sam tells Jon is that he found evidence some relic is in the crypts of Winterfell that can kill the undead dragon
>forrest
Azor Ned
Rhaegar is like that in the books as well. Aside from getting hammered in the chest, every character that talks about him can't stop sucking his dick about how pretty, how smart and how talented he was at everything.
So why do you fags like Stannis so much
Dario = Euron
But in the TV series is lazy, like that image.
nah daario is victarion
this will be the final twist of GoT
[after awkwardly kissing Casey] You might be pregnant now.
If Petyr Baelish is indeed dead, what is the point of making it clear to the audience that he knows Rhaegar didn't rape Lyanna?
Best character in the show after Jaime coming through, no need to argue with me
youtube.com
>littlefinger
>alive
embarissing....
He was just thinking about how much he wishes he had kidnapped and raped Sansa
So who is objectively the best girl?
Bran being the three eyed fuckwit also doesn't disprove the Petyr is alive theory.
Remember he called Jon, Jon Sand, before he found out from Sam that Rhaegar and Lyanna got married. Meaning he doesn't look at everything at once, he has the ability to look at everything but doesn't actively do it.
He has blindspots, he assumed it was Petyr that got killed and left it at that.
(Or alternatively, he warned Petyr with "chaos is a ladder" and wants Petyr alive.)
Not surprised. Bookfags have been floating this theory around for years now
Kit said he was dead after season 5, do you believe everything someone tells you?
Who's a dumbfuck, who's a dumbfuck.
You are uwu
which is also why stannis will also come back and it'll be so epic :DDDD
upboated!!!!! :DDDD
Nah he's dead, unless Brienne is a liar, and we know feminist propaganda would never show an honorable woman like Brienne in a bad light.
Also Stannis doesn't have much connections in Bravos (other than the bank), whereas Petyr's ancestors came from there.
Nah dude! Stannis wil come back! With LF as Hand of da king bro!!! It's gonna be hella frickin epic!!!!:DDDD
jon snow is the main character. littlefinger is a literal who. most people don't even know who the fuck he is beyond "that guy with a creepy mustache"
Your mocking isn't a real point and doesn't defeat my argument.
In short, your comments are fucking le eppic!!! xd rawr :DDDD!!
Wow the prequel looks like it will have a very diverse cast :)
Theon's teleporting fleet will somehow be within spitting distance despite the lack of any major body of water
No but what is true about my mocking is that it's ridiculous to put in so much blind faith into simplistic writing and set pieces and trying to put stock into something that isn't there.
DnD have a one track mind with the story and they're not bringing Littlefinger back ever. It'd go against what they want. You trying to make up theories is no different than what people did with the indoctrination theory and Mass Effect. Blind excuses to bad writing. Just accept what you got and move on.
Mr. CIA can't die, he used MK Ultra and replaced his body with a commoner.
Finally we have someone who speaks truth.
Ayh shupposh...
So how big is Westeros and how long does it take to sail from Dragonstone to Winter fell? The show has an issue with showing the passage of time. In S7 how long was the party stuck in the frozen lake?
D&D did too much cocaine and drugs from season to season with their millions of dollars, their IQ, and more importantly, their writing suffered to the level in which they can't keep their show consistent of such trivial matters as distance.
Eh I mean, Dany just used the dragons to fly the boats over.
were is he btw?
a pile of ash somewhere north of the wall
What's the dealio with the Corsair King? Will he be important? Is he a character we already know of? Or simply a nothingburger
In S6 wasn't the brotherhood without banners supposed to be like a dozen or more men? In S7 why was it only Priest, Fire sword and Hound?
Guys I'm super worried that the next episode will be only 50 minutes again
honestly it would be pretty cool if his body froze so firetits can bring him back as goku to kill north korea
Imagine if they just kept getting shorter. The finale will be a 30 minute show with 8 minutes of commercials.
Episode 1: 54 minutes
Episode 2: 58 minutes
Episode 3: 1 hour 22 minutes
Episode 4: 1 hour 18 minutes
Episode 5: 1 hour 20 minutes
Episode 6: 1 hour 20 minutes
based Stannis Calvo (Rey Legitimo 100%)
Should I play the GoT CK2 mod and if so who should I play as? I'm feeling either Ned (assuming Ned isn't dead in it, if he is then Robb) or Stannis.
Lannister shits need not apply.
What show do you think will be GoT levels of big? Not something like Madmen which only Americans really care about but something global.
I'm Indonesian and the clerk's in my bank were talking about GoT.
Ironborn are the funnest
You sail around raiding shit and take all the women you capture as salt wives and have like 40 kids
For sure play it and there's more than one bookmark you know. You can play any year from the Conquest. Try to play as Aegon the Conqueror or Renly to begin with, they have it easy.
I hope Dany kills Jamie because then I have literally zero reason to give a fuck about this stupid show.
Then I hope Bronn kills Dany and 1 dragon before he kicks the bucket
Try Viserys.
It's hard af.
I thought Renly was always destined to die near the start of the War of Five Kings campaign. Is there a way to stop that?
Christ. So next ep is another fucking filler/set-up episode for all the battles/deaths that will happen in the back half. Even with five episodes left their dragging this out til we get the good stuff.
STANNIS
The winter killed them
Yeah, I heard they were screening it in theaters in Iraq and they all sold sold out in a day, shit's crazy. Makes me sad they didn't stick as close to the books though since it could have been better.
Seriously? What the fuck
FROM THE DUSTY MESA

Just go back a day from the bookmark or get the More Bookmarks sub-mod
Afaik the next episode is full of setups and some minor plots. Episode 3 and 5 will have big battles with 3 having the longest tv/movie battle in history. It is not perfect but better than having a 20 minute battle like S6E9.
I'm just guessing. Judging by the show's records D&D just forgot about the rest
They disappeared just like the following:
>Ramsay's archers in Battle of Bastards
>The entired Tyrell force even though only a few hundred got killed at High Garden
>The entired Dornish force even though just a few of them got killed/captured at sea
>Over 40000 bannermen of Stannis after he lost at King's Landing
>first season
>Ned gets stabbed in the calf muscle and walks with a cane/limp for the reason of the season
>whatever season
>Arya gets gutted and it's forgotten about in the next episode
>Meera best girl
Archers can do nothing against the Chivalry of the Knights of the Vale

lady crane apparently is good at ripping her lovers' intestines out and stuffing them back in every other night. she said so herself
My point is that they simply disappeared. You didn't even see them getting run down by the cavalry.
Are they going to end this with something fun or different or is it a going to be a love conquers all bullshit?
why does danny make me think of xev bellringer all the time
"His head exploded Sansa. There was blood everywhere. It was beautiful."
who would win in a telekinetic mind-bullet battle, Bran or Sansa?
Bran is a treegod
Sansa is at the top of the Dunning–Kruger graph
check 'em
Archers don't last a second in the open against cavalry
Maybe the actress who rescued her was a witch and made healing magic offscreen, is the only explanation I can think of
Bransa (Bran warging as Sansa, if you warg into your own bloodline it's pretty much incest)
>why are you punching yourself sansa?
>why are you punching yourself sansa?
>why are you punching yourself sansa?
Could the doom slayer solo the entire army of the dead?
>Bran wargs as Sansa
>She goes full retard like Hodor
>THE RAPE THE RAPE RAPE RAPE RAPE!
>Now Sansa can only say “Rape”
*EXTREME BLUE CAMERA FILTER ON FUCKING EVERYTHING IN YOUR PATH BECAUSE COLD*
Bran wargs in the past into Ned and pulls out before he can finish in Catelyn. Sansa is never born.
Bran 10/10
I know friendo :)
But why is there no shot showing how they get killed by the cavalry. The battle made it seem that everything Ramsay had left were the Umber """pikemen""" and some leftover from whatever else unit that escaped to the castle with him.
Based
ramsay's men I think were the ones who held the spear alongside the shield wall that sorrounded them
most of the tyrell force I think sided with the tarly's and only a few remained on tyrell's side
I don't know whats going on in dorne, and stannis' men simply died of cold or scattered before the battle at winterfell
Yes.
nice
Robb's wife had an amazing ass.
she is a jew user
I'd love to warg into Sansa, reach down, and tentatively tease my bright pink tight pussy. My fingers pushing through the tuft of fire red pubic hair, tracing the lips and feeling the wetness between my legs. I'd do it until I couldn't bear it anymore and plunged a finger deep inside of myself, my thighs quivering with as I pushed deeper, and deeper.
Then I'd let my bro Jamie rape the shit out of me. Good times.
t.
>ramsay's men I think were the ones who held the spear alongside the shield wall that sorrounded them
You clearly see that he had hundreds of archers. In total he had 6000 men in this battle. I don't think the archers just switched weapons to join the pike+shield formation. Most of his force was armored while the entired freefolk had no armor. Wun wun wasn't seen killing hundreds of Boltons so I can not see the math behind him losing over 5800 armored men against 2400 mostly non armored men. There was no single maneuver or move that indictaed most of his forced getting killed of apart from the charge which killed a few hundred.
>most of the tyrell force I think sided with the tarly's and only a few remained on tyrell's side
this could very wee be the case but the show did a terrible job at explaining it. Dany mentions the Reach was an ally of theirs so she was talking about a notebale force that had at least a decent amount of fighting men. They only battle between Lannister and Tyrell forces is at Highgarden where only the garrison got killed off.
>I don't know whats going on in dorne, and stannis' men simply died of cold or scattered before the battle at winterfell
The Baratheon forces were said to be 100000 men strong in season 2. Lots of them were Tyrells who abandoned Stannis when he took over but fewer than 10000 got killed at King's Landing. When Stannis and Davos travel to Braavos it is mentioned that he only has 4000 left.
is zombie mountain supposed to be funny i laugh whenever he appears
Good.
I was just watching the first few episodes and how did Maise become shittier season after season? What kind of drugs is this little goblin abusing?
>Then I'd let my bro Jamie rape the shit out of me.
GAAAAAAAYYYYYYY
Actually thinking about this, armoured, well disciplined, well trained troops beat strong and skilled but wild and unarmoured troops every time.
The wildlings would get absolutely slaughtered by any decent force. We've seen similar things happen in actual history, IE early Roman history. I mean I guess they were actually losing so it works out? A lot of the battle likely happens off screen for budget reasons. Then there was the whole CIA showing up with reinforcements so.
I'm a bit disappointed with how the dothraki were handled in later seasons. I thought Jorah vs that dude was trying to go into the tent was an allusion to how armoured knights vs lightly armoured dothraki was gonna turn out. That Westeros would at least put up a decent fight.
Cavalry run over infantry with no troubles unless they are deployed in formation, dragon fucked the formation
Yeah I guess you're right. Dragons are fucking retarded. But they killed Dragons before didn't they? Shouldn't they know how to deal with them somewhat?
he's just a meme at this point. it's going to be even more funny when he will fight the hound. expect one liners straight out of reddit
It is a shame about the Dothraki. They were inspired by Huns and Mongols while the Lannisters were inspired by Roman armies. The Huns often managed to beat Roman legions in the field even when outnumbered.
Why didn't they just actually copy the Huns so the strength of the Dothraki would make sense?
Do armor, horse archers and lancers seem not barbarian enough?
I think only nightking had ever killed a dragon. All previous dragons died from disease and old age
I'm pretty sure Knights of the Vale would kick Dothraki ass
Nah, iirc the Dornish killed one during Aegon's failed invasion.
The Dothraki mostly use scimitars which can not get through armor but at least in the shots of the battle you see them perfectly cutting though the necks of every Lannister soldier because that is were the armor is weakest. If the spearmen were braced in formation without a dragon burning them from the sky the Dothraki would have taken huge losses.
Horses also tend to rear up when you stick a spear in their face. And I seriously doubt the Dothraki were doing drills or anything to condition their horses.
>implying you wouldn't fuck up your entire life for this
they would, as seen from actual history, armoured knights with a solid formation always fucked horse archers
just don't go chasing those fags, horse archers were op
Damn they did.
Sad to see that Dorne in the show is just 1 small castle and a port led by neo feminist poc
Why not just make it seven episodes lmao

So are 4 legged dragons really hard to animate or were HBO and Warner Bros just chasing the Skyrim bucks?
>muh wyrms
>Implying normies actually no the differences between types of Dragons
Almost all higher organisms have the same skeleton with modifications to specifics proportions. Just slapping on another 2 limbs requires a complete rework of basically the entire skeleton which drastically changes how movement works which means they can't look to real-world analogs as a basis for their CGI
No but they can recognize that they look like shytrim dragons

Serious question, can Bran wipe himself when he shits? If not, who wipes him? I'd imagine Osha, Meera, and Hodor may have done it previously but what about the last few seasons? This gap has really broken my immersion.

the Night King
Sometimes.
What did D&D mean by this?
stop posting these genuinely awful fake """spoilers""" over and over again you fucking autists.
So are the maesters the true masterminds in their quest to purge the world of magic? Or are they just old geezers
S&M fetish
Is CGI really that expensive?
Like GoT is literally the second bigger thing right now ext to Mahvel. Couldnt they go all out with armies elephants Vs armies of undead bear and ice spiders?
Stannis...
WHERE ARE THE DAMN BOARS THIS SEASON, LANCEL?
Bran, I need you to continue the Reed lineage.
Ok, so they're fucking lazy.
I'm kinda impressed by HBO so far this year, usually half of the season would be online by now with the rest soon to follow.
>some autist wrote this all out
>the not so subtle blurred "Chaosh is a laddah" at the end
Well done user, laughed pretty hard at this
Maario Naharis
>tfw Arya transformed from cute youngster to young Tommy from Goodfellas

Armor is of absolutely no value in Hollywood, it's just a kewl! costume.

what was meant by this? gay incest?
the night king. he really gets in there with his icicle .
>Lol swords can't pierce armor
Americans are so hollow. I pity them.
@aDragonDemands, administrator of the Game of Thrones wiki tried to get a journalist fired.
It's not THAT expensive really. Most of the budget isn't CGI but actor salaries and on-location shoots.

With all the recent shitposting about Sana's newly-acquired GENIUS intellect and the eternal shitposting about Dany, I just thought I should say once again
Arya's character is still more cringe than both of them combined.
why is arya cringe?
Literally an overpowered anime character with no arc whatsoever. Also her killing all the Freys was fucking bullshit cop-out fuck D&D
You can say whatever you want but Danny without dragons can't do shit., at least the other two are still around by their own merits.
we really need a tully on the throne. it was so close with the jaehaerys bethrothal

You should start writing for the show. You'd be right at home.

Willem killed his brother
willem was who killed his brother
LE EPIK SWORDMASTER who BTFOs Brienne, the Hound and all the Freys, and has everyone scared shitless of her, is a skinny 15yo girl who trained for like 6 months in Braavos
nuff said
poor internet jannie needs some sense of power
Also her personality is obnoxious as fuck. She's just there to say something snarky or "brave" and that's it. It's like Maisie Williams wrote the dialogue for her given how try-hard it comes off.
D&D have botched this series without a doubt.
youtube.com
the show was so good then
She trained under the first sword of Bravos for years
STILL ALIVE
>for years
More like a week.
For years, nigger?
For like 2 weeks, from a little after she got to King's Landing until Ned's death.
AND even her training in Braavos was mostly playing hide and seek in the dark. It's pathetic.
>brushes off being knifed in the stomach
>edgy badass sociopath superhero set out on revenge (she's at least portrayed somewhat traumatized and weak in the books)
>world's best swordsman and assassin after 6 months of training
>fences against fully armored brienne and wins
>literally crosses her fencing sword with a greatsword and it doesn't break (peak dabid writing)
Anything happening next episode or is it another great big nothing?
Daenerys is a realistic underachieving character next to Arya
much better lines too
This isn't even the same show anymore.
Sansa is the only one of them who dies according to spoilers I've seen.
>got has been out for years now

Starting to think it won't happen Yea Forumsros
oathkeeper isn't a greatsword it's a longsword

KING IN THE NORTH!!
KING IN THE NORTH!!!
>tfw ywn see Brienne get the better of Arya and then violently fuck her
You'll make it happen one day. I believe in you.
I seriously don't see sansa dying man. shy is she established to be a political genius if she just dies and doesn't help in rebuilding after the war.
Great casting for Robb desu
True. I wouldn't be that surprised if she did though.
do you think he'll play a role in the book endgame? I fucking hope so
I remember reading that Thoros uses a special oil to light his, but Berric just has R'hllor do it. So, as said, sometimes.
season 2 was so grim
I hope so too. Guy is too badass to just die now.
Dario = euron = coldhands = benjen = quaite = Joanna lannister = ahasra danye

This is what a scene looks like when they use the books as script.
long time no see
So, uh, why did they kill him again?
rub my clit bastard
They have no idea what to do with these characters without the books. D&D are two incompetent jews who have now resorted to blatant fanservice to keep the show going. Nobody watches this shit for the complex political interplay anymore.
awful, try again.

This scene actually breaks character in multiple ways. Robert never wanted Cersei to begin with. And Cersei was too in love with Jaime to ever care about Robert.

why do people in the asoiaf world care so much about legitimacy when it clearly doesn't matter when push goes to shove?
yeah, technically jon is the heir to the throne but so was viserys before him and he was hiding for a reason. it's not like he could go back to westeros and say 'this throne is mine by law' and everyone would be ok with it.

Is essos safe from the long night?
Not now that D&D have *unsheathed* wight dragon.
To kill him along with the Dorne plot. D&D did the same with Stannis and Littlefinger. If they don't know what to do with a character they kill him.
WHO CAN STOP THIS BASED MAN
The entired map is not known so Essos could have a land bridge in the north east that connects to the White Waste or the Lands Of Always Winter. In the East of Essos you have 5 huge forts that were built for a similar reason as the wall. So either Essos can be attacked by the White Walkers if they cross a land bridge or Essos has their own version of White Walkers.
What is the canon explanation for the long and unpredictable winters?
Maybe the ghost grass will come back into play.
JUST THEN THEY HEAR VOICES COMING UP THE FRONT OF THE DOCK. TWO UNSULLIED CARRYING THE BODY OF THE QUEEN
Also CHAOS IS A LADDER at the end.
magic
It's a fantasy world and that's just how it is.
Watching episode 2 of season 2.
So far the show is very fucking good.
Prepare for a nosedive after season 4
It stays consistently high quality throughout the series
What is it with normies and caring so much for the direwolves? We barely see those and apart from Ghost and Nymeria not a single one shows a distinct personality. Why do people care more about them than the actual characters?
Why was Gendry such a shitty rower but has superhuman Forrest Gump running abilities?
Here's a pretty good explanation from a bookfag: youtu.be
everyday is cardio and leg day in flea bottom.
Swords can't even penetrate chainmail, let alone thru a coat-of-plates+chainmail.
You don't use your legs to row, landlubber.
Best girl best bum
His early show character and the character in the books are great. He changes and evolves.
At first he is just madly REEEEing about how it's his blood right to rule the Seven Kingdoms because his brother had no true heirs. He gets completely humiliated in battle and then has his faults laid bare by Davos. he re-examines his faith and realises that he was fighting for the wrong thing; the throne is meaningless. If he's to go to war to become King, he neds to fight the right foe- the Others/White Walkers to ensure that the Seven Kingdoms survive. After that it will be obvious to others that he should be King- not because he has blood right and military force to press the issue, but because he lead and did the right thing and will then have earned the right to rule.
He also tells people who want to burn the unfaithful to fuck off and refuses to take the easy way out of things.
Stannis might be inflexible, but he's also on the path to what in another setting would be paladin-hood.
They completely fuck him up in the show.
I'll see for myself soon enough.
Holy hell Margaery Tyrell is a beauty.
So where is all this food coming from to feed everyone in winterfell?
You can row as fast as you want, you'll still be fucked if you're an innercity kid who knows nothing about navigating the sea. You might be even more fucked really, if you start rowing really fast out to open sea because you got turned around.
R is for Rape.
This might be the dumbest post in the history of Yea Forums.
When are we gonna have a show exploring essos?
Really, what is the audence for this?
This is a kids show. Why does it have a crossover with got?
Season 5?
>He also tells people who want to burn the unfaithful to fuck off and refuses to take the easy way out of things.
Yeah that's fine and all, but what if he burns his daughter after having a supply tent burnt, David? Wouldn't that be WAY cooler than him reluctantly agreeing to burn some cannibals?
JIDF are in full-defense mode trying to shut down DragonDemands.
No matter what happens in Episode 3 a lot of the living will die. There is a good chance they will lose at Winterfell which means abandoning the position. The White Walkers are already between Last Hearth and Winterfell so it won't take them long to reach it. Food is not an issue.
Muppet manchildren. The same who'll claim the muppets treasure island movie is the best adaptation.
Based Tyrion knew that the council members were lying sack of shits. That old fart's days are over!
why is /got/ moving so slow
Because yo momma so fat xD
This is great, why all the hate?
Because they're very different in the books and people are disappointed with how they did them.
>There is a good chance they will lose at Winterfell which means abandoning the position.
Why the fuck would they ever try to hold Winterfell to begin with? Just escape south to The Neck where you've held out against stronger armies several times before. Closer to food-sources, closer to reinforcements, crannogmen doing their swamp magic shit, and you can't be encircled and besieged by undead beings who can spend a hundred years waiting you out.
>Margaery Tyrell is a beauty
Yeah she's pretty hot.
>technically jon is the heir to the throne but so was viserys before him
Jon (Targaryen) Snow is ahead of Viserys in the line of succession.
- King Aerys II “The Mad” Targaryen
- - Prince Rhaegar (Aerys’ 1st son)

BUT ITS HOME AND EPIC AND POETRY AND WE CAN'T EXPECT AUDIENCES TO REMEMBER THERE ARE MORE THAN 3 LOCATIONS WITH SOME APPROPRIATLEY COLORED SHRUBBERY IN BETWEEN
Best Girl!
Not in the late Medieval period, on which GOT is based. Munitions plate was pretty much ubiquitous, and brigandine was common as well.
>Fourth Doctor scarf
I am ashamed to share my fandom with this person.
I wonder how she knew renly was gay
Because if they would abandon the north then most civilians living there would become wights. The houses of the North would also not agree to such a plan so you could count most of their forces to be added among the Army Of The Dead aswell. The siege is a fair point and would make sense especially because of the food situation but a battle is just more spectacular.
>What is the canon explanation for the long and unpredictable winters?
I have a feeling GRRM is regretting the weird climate of Planetos, as evidence by him not mentioning it after the first book, since multi-year long winters would have resulted in the extinction of just about all life on Planetos.
It's dumb as fuck. The Neck is narrow enough to fortify fully and it doesn't even matter how many men the dead have at that point, you can pretty much hold indefinitely
> Gendry
> Unacknowledged illegitimate bastards in the line of succession.
Not ever under any system of succession.
>Because if they would abandon the north then most civilians living there would become wights.
Any civilian not inside the walls of Winterfell will become one anyway. And with all those useless mouths to feed you're ALL going to die within months.
Aerys made Viserys his heir over Rhaegal though.
And that fat hack Martin just copying the former British system for his faggy dragon book.
>Any civilian not inside the walls of Winterfell will become one anyway.
Well how convenient that the dead march directly towards Winterfell instead of attacking cities like White Harbor first or just going around Winterfell.
>And with all those useless mouths to feed you're ALL going to die within months.
Well how convenient that there won't be a siege and at least 80% of fighters will be dead so the food becomes a non-issue.
That was assuming everybody is alive and all bastards have been legitimatized.
No.
GRRM's "rules" of succession actually make no sense, as he's got the wives of rulers taking over kingdoms (Lysa Tully nee Stark) when the nobility would never stand for that shit.
sneed's
>No
World of Ice and Fire says Rhaegar was disinherited some point during Robert's Rebellion. Not that it matters in any shape or form as everybody is dead.
>since multi-year long winters would have resulted in the extinction of just about all life on Planetos.
It's not like the south like Dorn goes winter, though. All the animal life probably just migrates south, and only retarded First Men people stay in the North.
I still think GRRM is going to reveal that it hasn't actually been millennia since the war with the Children and the year-long winters became a thing, that's just an inflated scale because nobody wrote things down and every so often a whole generation would be decimated, so everyone went by "my grandfather said his grandfather said", so it must have been x generations/years ago it happaned!". Sam's study of the Night Watch records certainly seemed to point to it.
>just going around Winterfell
That would be a great twist.
>Well how convenient that the dead march directly towards Winterfell instead of attacking cities like White Harbor first
What even gives you that idea? They obviously made a pit-stop at Last Hearth. For all we know the dead are spread out and moving at every city/town they know of.
>All the animal life probably just migrates south
Even the rabbits and fish? No, multi-year long winters wouldn't even be survivable by us in the modern world, let along a quasi-medieval society.
> I still think GRRM is going to reveal
I suspect that he'll simply ignore the plot point as he now realizes it doesn't make sense and is unworkable.
Last Hearth is on the direct route between East Watch and Winterfell.
Reminder that the guy Jon Connington went gay for, the guy who made the incestuous Cersei wish she could marry him...and somehow in the show he's brutally mogged by his own brother.
Fuck, I miss show Viserys.
>World of Ice and Fire says Rhaegar was disinherited some point during Robert's Rebellion.
Which just goes to show that GRRM is pulling his "rules" of succession out of his ass and ignoring what he's already wrote on the issue.
Because if a noble could simply disinherit any of his children as he pleased, then Tywin would have told Tyrion to fuck off a long time ago and Randyll Tarly wouldn't have needed to force Sam to join the Nights Watch.
Rules of succession exist for that very reason.
>Even the rabbits and fish?
Yes?
>No, multi-year long winters wouldn't even be survivable by us
We survived a fucking ice age when we were nothing but snowniggers running around with pelt tents.
>has black hair
bravo
>>Even the rabbits and fish?
>Yes?
No, birds can migrate (if they're a species which migrates) but everything else would simply die.
>>No, multi-year long winters wouldn't even be survivable by us
>We survived a fucking ice age when we were nothing but snowniggers running around with pelt tents.
The ice ages weren't continual non-stop winters, we still had seasons, it was just that the over all climate was colder.
THE SEED IS STRONG!
I hate Arya Stark with a passion.
Arya literally killed an entire generation of one house by herself
there weren't any rules to begin with. when you read fire&blood, targ heirs were sometimes randomly passed over when they weren't liked
I recall targs having civil wars over succession with their dumb system
One day
It's easily explained as the Targs doing whatever the fuck they want, because they're some lowborn niggers who just lucked out at being away from home when the Doom took out all their nobles. The Westerosi on the other hand, who had kings and nobles before the Targs, still follow the rules they always had.
>The ice ages weren't continual non-stop winters
> he's got the wives of rulers taking over kingdoms
Catherine the Great says hi.
They're not though. They have nothing to do with seasons. They have to do with the climate.
>lowborn
Stupid fuck. Targs were dragonlords. Not the most important ones, but still amongst among the greatest Valyrian families. Christ, read the wiki if you’re not gonna read the fucking books.
Lmao, Joffrey is a loving boy isn't he. Crazy as fuck.
>actually believing Targ propaganda
>actually thinking the history of Westeros comes from a reliable narrator
Typical wikifag.
>Claims asoiaf history has an unreliable narrator
>Wants us to believe his retcon instead
Typical fucking self-inserting fantasist.
You seriously haven't caught on to the unreliable narrator angle that's present in pretty much every instance of someone talking about history, be it their family history or the general history of Westeros? I bet you didn't catch on to the Children creating the Others either, brainlet.
>some are wrong therefore all are wrong
There is no canon evidence that refutes Targaryen claims. None whatsoever. In fact, the concrete evidence proves it, you know, dragonlords have dragons, Targaryens have multiple dragons, and all that.
Rhaegar was on the verge of trying to remove his dad from power for being a Mad King. The tourney at Herring Hall was a ruse for him to talk to a lot of the barons about it to avoid civil war
Classic Stark features
>grey eyes
>long faces
>brown hair
Classic Targaryen features
>purple eyes
>gold/blonde/silver hair
>pale skin
Jon Snow
>brown eyes
>black hair
>normal face
What did they mean by this?
kinky
The show is not consistent with any of this for any character. Stark has gingers, blondes, brown and dark haired people with all eye colors. It's a tv-show with actors. They won't cast actors based on their eye color, and they don't care enough to change the actors into the correct phenotypes.
we already had it last season when cersei blew up the sept.
