until recent, a good place was /r/megalinks. There was some seriously good stuff there. The place got shut down and they moved to a forum which, like is probably talking about, closed registration a while ago.

Not necessarily, you can see the difference on a "shitty" 1080 LCD between a 15BG rip and a complete uncompressed blu ray
Though it's pretty faint and not nearly as baffling as the difference between a shitty 2-4GB rip and a 15BG one.
