Watching the pilot for the first time rn, lads.
When does the show get batshit insane?
Enjoy your comfy whilst it lasts user
Starts with episode 2 but calms down a lot over the first season and the first half of season 2. Quality dips in the second half of season 2 but it's worth watching anyway. Finale is godtier and marks the moment the entire franchise goes batshit to the end.
Season 3 Episode 3
season 3
seasons 1 and 2 are lighthearted comedies with some ghost shit involved
Who the fuck was Mike?
>Bobby was a coke dealer who attempted murder
>ends up becoming a cop 25 years later
What did dabid lench meme by this
>attempted murder
he literally killed a guy
Bobby was based. Pity he did fucking nothing of note in season 3
thought it was self defense during a drug deal gone bad. what happened?
Who? I was just talking about his thing with Leo
i really wish they didnt focus on Dougie for 70% of season 3
>cucked by basedboy james
>based
to be fair i can't remember. i know he 100% killed the dude though
mike
it's in the fire walk with me movie
He and his wife were great. The Amanda Seyfried stuff wasn't
Reminder that he shot someone in cold blood and this never came up in The Return because Lynch is a hack who didn't even bother to rewatch his prior material before sitting down to write it.
>Daughter dies
>Turns completely retarded
No really, what the FUCK is his problem? Go ahead and spoil it for me, I literally cannot bring myself to care about this stupid fucking show.
Like twin peaks itself, Bobby is both a good person and a bad person. The influence of laura (who is influenced by Bob) brings out the evil in Bobby. We see him admit this with his session with Jacoby. Bobby's father brings out the good in him. TP is all about that duality (black/white lodge etc.)
Daisies does mares and oats
You and me both. I was fine with the switch in tone that Season 3 brought, but I find it hard to accept how little time it gave to most characters
He proceeded to get a far superior girl after that
M I S S O U L A
>The Amanda Seyfried stuff wasn't
how did that tie into the plot again? i completely forget
>That crying over Laura's photo scene
>Not 100% unfiltered KINO
>tie into the plot
>lynch
Hmmm...
>I literally cannot bring myself to care about this stupid fucking show.
I won't lie, there are some bright spots up ahead, but you should get out while you still can. Or at least stop before season 3.
That was Lynch making fun of his own show and the fans who got wrapped up in the drama. "Look how melodramatic Twin Peaks used to be lol" Hence why it's the only time the Theme of Laura Palmer is used in The Return.
never
I just finished season 1, I thought cooper went to the black lodge room more than once. Does it happen again in season 2? Also, I heard the second season is worse since david lynch left after two episodes
Worse, but exactly how much has been overstated. There are some meh storylines, but it's still well worth your time.
did you watch it? it's obvious
what about S3? I heard it's COMPLETELY different from the other two
>I heard the second season is worse
it's more of the same except it drags out at some parts
>cold blood
That shithead deputy drew on him first
just finished watching the pilot and i don't know why but i really wanna punch james i don't like him
season is like most of his movies
it's basically horror with some lighthearted moments
>Also, I heard the second season is worse since david lynch left after two episodes
I don't remember the exact episode, but watch until they solve the Palmer mystery, it's in a lot of way the highest point of the show.
After that it's a mishmash of shit and enjoyable soap opera (if you dig that sort of thing) with ocasional spooky weirdness, but it's not the same thing. The finale is quite literally the greatest thing ever put to television, but you need context of previous episodes to get it.
There'a a guide with episodes to skip somewhere too.
so unlike season 1 and 2 it brings in horror? I saw there's an evil cooper with long hair
Most of it is still pretty good.
But I implore you to fast forward all the scenes with James in season 2. They're actually without purpose and are never brought up again even in season 3.
yeah the tone is very different
what about the movie? i know david bowies in it but is it worth watching?
You gotta watch the movie to watch season 3. And it is more horror focused than s1-s2.
>is the best part of the series worth watching?
t. muffin
He was bad guy that turned good
yeah i liked it and it ties into season 3 so you should watch it
it's cool because the movie really feels like a transition. it's a lot more adult and creepy than season 2 and but not as much as season 3
>That was Lynch making fun of his own show and the fans who got wrapped up in the drama. "Look how melodramatic Twin Peaks used to be lol" Hence why it's the only time the Theme of Laura Palmer is used in The Return.
Nice LARP. Why not link your blog too?
idk and idc, twin peaks is so fucking boring, only pseuds think lynch is good
>LOL IT'S WEIRD, GET IT???
come to think of it i really feel the whole series was just like the movie
boomer tv execs in 90s wouldnt allow it though. shame
Lynch's best work imo, there's so much raw emotion in it it's almost exhausting.
What did she mean by this?
ive spent more time browsing twin peaks threads and reading the lore than I have watching the damn show
couldn't make it past episode 3; can't say I care for lynch at all
it feels boring at the start but it slowly pulls you in the more you watch
it's not for everyone. in the most non-pretentious way do i say that
i love it because of the characters and the surrealist nature of it
Love this guy's art
She had a sour look on her face. That's for sure.
the james storyline is pretty fucking annoying to follow through season 2 same with the nadine sideplot imo but as a whole season 2 is still pretty worthwhile to watch.
it's a top 3 Lynch movie and best part of the twin peaks universe
>you now realize there are brianlets in this thread who don't like based ben as robert e. lee
to be fair i can't remember either. i know he %100 was doing something drug related when he killed the dude though
good ben > bad ben >>> crazy ben
James is cool, you pleb.
go to bed James
Why the fuck did Lynch cast so many ayylmao looking girls in The Return? Amanda Seyfried, Francesca Eastwood, the girl who played Daria, etc.
The Blue Rose is a symbol of things that aren't real. Red is also a predominant color in the Lodge.
The movie, and The Missing Pieces, is what season 2 should've been
AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH I WANT HER TO SIT ON MY FACE SO BAD
is this the guy who did the poster for the lobster?
sheryl is not for lewd
WHERE IS THE DAVID LUNCH AAAAA
FWWM is what the show would have been if it wasn't on network television.
it turns out he was an alcohol the whole time
take a look at this smug little mug...
>david lunch lol
Sheryl Lee looks so good
trip dubs speaks absolute truth
Thank you
few know this but the bobby walks backwards scene was initially shot like this, with lynch later reversing it
Season 3 sucks. It's not Twin Peaks.
why did lynch make destroying bob such a cartooney joke? wit the photoshop hole to hell or the bad instagram filter floating bob face? i guess i got lynched and i dont understand
she still looks so good, same for shelly, its pretty amazing actually
Because BOB was third wheel to Judy and Mr. C in The Return. RIP Frank SIlva.
whoa wtf? its oviously
freedom enthusiast ben > moralfag ben > contrived villain ben
because wide eyes are universally considered more attractive than eyes that are close set? are you fuckin retahded?
not "(uoY)"
LYNCHED
I don't ever want to hear anyone say there's a better director with an eye for women than Lynch because there isn't one
God she's so fucking perfect
My favorite prologue to a movie. Thank Christ for the spicediver edit. I hated that the extended edition of dune removed this.

T H I S.
Based.
>myriad references to cherry pie, donuts, sexual abuse, good people being good, bad people being bad, wonky atmosphere, eccentric characters, dreamlike supernatural elements
>WAAAAAH ITS NOT MY CHERRY PIE NORTHERN EXPOSURE
How lynched can a human being possibly get and still qualify as a human being?
>That was Lynch making fun of his own show and the fans who got wrapped up in the drama. "Look how melodramatic Twin Peaks used to be lol" Hence why it's the only time the Theme of Laura Palmer is used in The Return.
This. Season 3 is David Lynch self-indulgently shitting all over his previous work.
>That was Lynch making fun of his own show and the fans who got wrapped up in the drama. "Look how melodramatic Twin Peaks used to be lol" Hence why it's the only time the Theme of Laura Palmer is used in The Return.
But his own show was always a parody of primetime soap operas. The melodrama, especially with the teenagers, was meant to be a joke.
That doesn't look right at all though. Clearly this is the reversed shot.
>spend hours on b plots that are even more retarded and meandering than mid-season 2
Wow, I really love seeing the psychologist shill his shovels for 15 minutes an episode. Even better is watching Audrey argue with her midget husband for 10 minutes in the same episode.
Did HD remove all the atmosphere that the show was renowned for from season 3?
The movie is amazing, but only if you already like and know everything about Seasons 1-2.
Seconded. The movie is also a great bridge between S2 and S3.
You gotta watch that shit in release order, and the Q2 extended cut of FWWM is also recommended.
it was self defense. Mike was gonna kill Bobby and rape Laura.
Season 1 and 2 are peak comfy.
Fwwm and Season 3 aren't comfy at all, they are horror. Peak Lynch
This stuff is actually fun. It's one of the only parts I like about the second half of season 2.
take the goldpills
based coop
what if Coop was coherent the entire time and just wanted to chill out and fuck with everyone as a retard savant for a while
