I really liked both Bone Tomahawk and Brawl In CB 99. Is DAC worth the hour drive?

Completely average and pretty unlikable. He couldn't decide if he wanted it to feel noir or not, so he just went back and forth between modern and noir dialogue repeatedly. Not as good as his other stuff.

I feel like I should make the effort to support it though because my shithole town only shows capeshit and bohemian rhapsody

You would, even if you're ugly. Especially in the midwest where no one is ever from anywhere but the midwest. We have two theaters within 20 minutes of me, both of which have about 10 screens, but they show multiple of the same movie on them. You'll have a 3:15, 3:30, and 3:45 for How To Train Your Dragon or some shit. They're not even shitty local theaters either, they're AMC and Cinemark which are huge. The theater I go to is only showing 4 movies at any given time.

it has the same raw feel that his earlier movies had. very smart writing, but the last act is pretty weak. great film over all. on par with bone tomahawk imo

Only thing I know about Cornwall is that Karl Pilkington has mentioned that it's basically like our hicks. I love hicks though, so maybe I'd get along with your types. I'm not in a big area myself.

But yeah, the movie situation is garbage in most of the states. The area I'll be moving to has a two screen theater in town that shows what seems to be run off extra shit from 2 months ago, and the closest theater is 40 minutes away that will have anything decent. Only cities have what most people assume we all have, and then you have to deal with the screaming nogs unless you go to the high dollar places.

I fucking LOVED Dragged Across Concrete. Didn't know anything about it before seeing it other than the fact that Mel is in it. Didn't see a trailer and didn't even know it's from the same guy who wrote and directed Bone Tomahawk. Absolutely amazing film imo.
